🎐 Chapter I 🎐

Tensions rose, and the anger had awoken. Though the call was necessary, no one can escape from this. The archer, the bull, and the twins. One side prefers the rebel and another would rather stay on the safe side. However, that was all in the past. They both agreed to leave the fiery archer behind and fall back in love with the bull. By the time they've calmed down, one person's mind finally calmed down and opened their eyes after breathing a sigh of relief. However, he had left his family on pause and raced toward her direction in hopes nothing had happened yet.

Closed-minded, end of the discussion, and no changing her mind back, she glued to the spot on the couch as she waited for her ride back home. As he walked away and focused on his pet dog, he felt uncomfortable as he knew he made it very awkward for her. She didn't want to look in his direction at all. She fixated her sight on the front door instead. Just then, a moment later, she heard footsteps coming back toward her direction. Coming in from the kitchen, he came back to the living room and had put down a glass of water on the coffee table in front of her.

"I'm sorry," he quietly apologized. "I know I shouldn't have done that."

"Why did you?" She asked sternly.

"I thought I could try to kiss you again."

"You thought wrong." Having heard his reasoning, it gave her a headache just thinking about it. "You know I'm already back with my ex."

He sighed, knowing well it was a stupid move. "I know."

Stubborn to the point where she lost her feelings for a moment, she turned to face him and saw that he was rubbing his body in slight pain. Her shoulder and upper back body suddenly relieved from the tension she built up and suddenly felt sorry. She still wasn't moving from her spot, but she showed her emotions through her tone instead.

"I'm sorry too," she couldn't help but feel apologetic. "I shouldn't have abrasively pushed you too hard, but you did see it coming."

"Yeah, I just thought I could kiss you one more time."

As she gulped the fresh cold glass of water, she received a text from her boyfriend that he had arrived waiting outside. She put down the glass and said her goodbyes as she quickly went past him when he wanted to hug her. Immediately closing the door shut behind her, she shrugged her shoulder and rotated them as she felt uneasy most of the time. She couldn't wait to see him again even if it's just for a brief moment.

After sitting herself down on the front passenger's seat, she closed the car door and buckled her seatbelt. The engine revved and roared as the car finally took off. Silence crept for a good minute before anyone spoke up, but before he could say anything to her, a phone rang and he had to answer the call.

"Be quiet for a minute," he warned her. "Hello."

She knew immediately it was for a work call. Before she could look through her phone, he poked her cheek and grabbed her attention. She gave him a confused look, and as she did so, he in return blew her a quiet raspberry with his tongue out. She gave him a pout but left it be. It was early in the afternoon, almost two o'clock. She was glad to go back home by car instead of taking forever by a town bus that could potentially not bring her home before five o'clock. So as the time passed by momentarily, she gazed toward him and kept on staring at his handsome features.

"Okay," she heard him respond slowly to his co-worker. "So why can't he do it himself? What's the problem?"

He wore a stressful mask, his eyebrow frowning. It showed in his voice and his expression that he was refraining from complaining. Just from that alone, it made her worry about him. He worried that she could be hurt, and now for her, she thought that there may be something amiss. Though it is not her place to speak, she wanted to ask him about it after the call ended. When it did, he spoke up first.

"So why did you go to see him?" He didn't hesitate to voice out his distrust.

 "Because he wanted to talk."

"And why couldn't you just do that from the phone?" His anger finally belched but restrained.

"Because he wanted to personally see me in person instead of a regular phone call."

She whimpered, cowering over the fact that he wanted to yell at her but couldn't. She made him mad, and it was hard not to miss.

"Cassie," he sighed, not because he's tired but of making her feel the way she is. "I'm not mad at you, you know that."

"I know," she cried.

Her sniffles made way on her sleeves, her eyes full of tears falling on her soft cheeks. Before she could wipe it off, he gently grabbed her chin as she gazed into his loving eyes. He wiped it off for her when they came to a red stoplight. And as he did, he leaned in with his soft full lips pressed against hers while her eyes closed on instinct.

"I'll always love you."

The reassurance is there. His heart pounding as hers did simultaneously, she let out a small sigh. She gave one small whimper, but a cute sounding one at that. For as far as she can recall, she knew that he never liked lying to her.
