Izumo pov
I was at the bar cleaning things when the doorbell rang. I looked up to see Chi there.
" Hey kid." She huffed.
" How many times must I ask you not to call me that?" I shrugged.

Chiyo was three years younger than me but she was always with me and Mikoto. Much to her older brother's horror. I was in my last year of high school while she was in her second. We were childhood friends but I had quickly realized I liked her.

I set a coffee drink down and slid it to her.
" Here. It will help with whatever is bothering you."
" Thanks." I nodded. She sat down and we talked.
" So. I was wondering if you wanted to go out this weekend?" She looked up.
" Like on a date?" I blushed.
" Sure. If that's what you want to call it." She blushed and then smiled.
" I'd love to."
" Great. Then I'll pick you up tomorrow at 10."
" Yeah." Her phone beeped with a message. She looked at it.
" Oh. I better go. See you this weekend Izu. And thanks for the drink."
" Yeah. Bye." As she was leaving Mikoto came in.
" Oh. Hey Miko. Sorry I can't stay." He ruffled her hair.
" It's fine. Go." She left. I smiled and watched her leave. Mikoto sat down and smirked.
" So. Did you finally ask her out?"
" Huh?! I don't know what you're talking about."
" Oh don't pull that. You like her."
" If you must know we're going out tomorrow."
" Took you long enough. Better be careful though. Reisi will kill you if you hurt her." I huffed and slid a coffee to him.
"Hey Mikoto. I heard some middle school kid has been hanging around you."
"Oh. You mean that annoying brat." I chuckled.
"Hanging around you, a guy who hates keeping friends, and.....who hates having people kiss up to him......" Just then the phone rang.
" That kid's got balls." I answered.

"Hello?"
" Is this Izumo Kusanagi?"
" Yeah."
"Sorry for calling but a kid named Totsuka Tatara is in the hospital. He says that you know him through a mutual friend. A Mikoto Suoh." I sighed.
" Yeah. Thanks for calling. Where is he?" Once I got the address I hung up.

" What's wrong?" I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck nervously and turned to my friend.
" Well. How should I put this?"
"Tell me what?"
" That kid whose been following you got jumped. Seems he's in the hospital." He stood up.
" Let's go."
" Oy Mikoto!" I sighed and got my jacket then locked up the bar.

We went to the hospital and found the room the kid was in. We entered the room to find the kid pretty beat up.
" Hey! What brings you here, King?"
" King of what?" I asked looking back surprised at Mikoto.
" Who did this to you?" I went over and bent over.
" Look, kid......If you hang around this guy, you'll end up like this again. You might think you'll be safe near someone strong, but it's the exact opposite." He smiled and spoke.
" Okay, I'll be careful from now on." I began to speak again when Mikoto kicked the bed. The kid sat up and looked shocked.
" I asked who did this to you." The kid looked down and spoke m
" Before I tell you, king.......I have a huge favor to ask. Will you hear me out?" Mikoto nodded.
" My foot.......It itches like hell! Could you scratch it for me?" Mikoto went close and put a hand on the kids leg then punched him on top of his head with the other hand. Mikoto walked out.
" You're one reckless kid. Don't blame me if he kills you." The kid looked up with a smile.
" Hey, don't sweat it......It'll all work out." Then he looked down serious but still with a smile.
" I'm going to become the king's vassal."
" Huh?"
" That guy's going to be someone great. He might become like a real king, don't you think?" I looked shocked.

Reisi pov
I was studying when my little sister came into the apartment.
" Hey Reisi." I looked up with a smile when I noticed she was extra happy.
" Hey Chi. Something really good must have happened. You look very excited." She blushed.
" Oh. Nothing really." I raised my eyebrows and looked at her over my glasses.
" Chiyo Munakata. What is it?"
" Um. I got asked out for tomorrow."
" By?"
" Izumo." I sighed. Of course. The playboy had finally made his move.
" Chi." She frowned.
" Please don't. I know how you feel about both of them but they're my friends. I like being with them. Especially during school. They make me laugh." She said the last part with a smile. She was hopeless.
" Of course Izumo does. He probably just sees you as another conquest."
" Ugh! Why can't you be happy for me?!"
" Because I'm trying to protect you."
" From what? He's a good guy." I stood up and went over to her.
" No he's not Chi. He's a player. He goes after girls as if it's a game."
" You don't know him."
" Yes I do."
" No you don't. He's kind and gentle and he treats me well." I put a hand on her head.
" That's called charm Chiyo. He's using that to trick you. He'll date you for a little bit then dump you for someone else. That's what he does. He doesn't really like you." She slapped my hand away. I saw tears in her eyes.
" Ugh! I hate you!!" She ran to her room and slammed the door shut. I sighed. I hated saying that but it needed to be said. Izumo Kusanagi was dangerous.

The next day I watched as Chi got ready for her date.
" You're seriously gonna go with him no matter what I say?"
" Yes. I am. There's nothing you can say to stop me Reisi."

After a bit the doorbell rang. I went over and answered it. I saw Izumo on the other side. I glared at him harshly and he looked nervous.
" Hi Reisi."
" I swear. If you hurt her your life is mine. Got it?" He held up his hands defensively.
" I won't hurt her. I promise."
" You better not Kusanagi." I let him in.

It wasn't long before Chi came down. Izumo looked shocked.
" Wow. You look amazing." She blushed.
" Thanks."
" Ready to go?" She nodded and gave me a hug.
" I promise I'll be careful."

After they left I sighed. Please don't let him break her heart.

Izumo pov
We had a lot of fun as we went around. We ended up getting cold drinks and sitting in the park. Finally I decided to work up the courage.
" Hey Chi."
" Hmm?"
" Well. I was wondering if you would be my girlfriend. I know I don't have the best reputation but I promise I'll make you happy. So would you give me a chance?" She looked shocked then tackled me in a hug.
" Yes! A million times yes!!" We kissed and then pulled away. Both of us were blushing. She giggled.
" That was perfect." I smiled.
" Good. I'm glad." We kissed again then I took her home.

I gave her a kiss on the cheek and said goodnight.

Reisi pov
I waited for Chi to get back. I finally heard laughter and my sister's voice. I looked out. I saw her smiling with Izumo. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and said something. She smiled and gave him a kiss on the cheek then waved goodnight. When she came in she saw me.
" Did you wait for me?"
" Yes. Why wouldn't I? How did it go?" She beamed the brightest smile I've ever seen.
" Amazing. He was such an gentleman. He took me everywhere and refused to let me pay for anything. I had so much fun."
" I'm glad. But still. Maybe you should be more cautious around him." She sighed.
" He asked me to be his girlfriend."
" Please tell me you didn't say yes." I said even though I already knew the answer.
" I did. He was so sweet. He said he knows he doesn't have the best reputation but he'll make me happy. He begged me to give him a chance."
" Chi." I said with almost a whine.
" Come on Reisi. He likes me. And I like him. Can't you just be happy for me?"
" No. I can't. Because my little sister has fallen for a predator."
" He's not a predator!"
" Yes he is. Him and that idiotic hothead friend of his."
" Ugh!" She ran out of the room and slammed her door shut. I sighed and got my phone out. I texted Izumo.

You better treat her well or else.
I will Reisi. She means the world to me.
I swear she better not be one of your many conquests.
She isn't. I've never actually tried to plan a date so it was perfect but I did with her. She's different.
You're right about that. She is different. She's still young and wants to see the good in everyone. Even you and Mikoto. So don't disappoint her.
I won't. And don't get too mad at her. She looks up to you you know. She wants to be more like you.

After I stopped I sighed and went to go to my bedroom. I made sure to turn the lights off. I got changed and then went to see if Chi was still awake. When I entered I saw she was sound asleep. I went over and adjusted her then pulled the covers over her and kissed her forhead.
" Night sweet sister."

I would have to get used to this. My sister loved a playboy. Maybe she was the one who could change him.
