After Sendak and (Y/n) returned to the palace after their trip to the hot springs everything returned to normal; they still really liked each other and they hadn't given up on hoping to become a romantic couple someday, so they decided to seek out a little advice. As soon as (Y/n) and Kumo were alone together (Y/n) told her every detail, except she only briefly mentioned the fact that she'd accidentally touched Sendak's dick, and Kumo recommended that she should ask Zarkon for relationship advice. She was a little nervous about asking Zarkon for romantic advice because she knew about Honerva, the last thing she wanted was to accidentally upset him. However, when she voiced her concern to Kumo she assured her that it would be fine and he wouldn't get too sad. A couple of months prior Lotor had gone back to Altea to continue his studies there; he went back right before mating season on Daibazaal began since Zarkon didn't want him witnessing anything inappropriate, although he would eventually come back to visit.

A few years had passed since Honerva passed away and Zarkon had finished with the grieving process, but he still missed her really badly and he still thought about her. By that point he was comfortable with talking about them when she was alive and he looked back on those memories fondly. While he was looking over some paperwork in his private office (Y/n) decided to talk to him since he was almost done and Sendak was busy elsewhere, giving her and Zarkon the privacy she needed. She sat on the chair in the corner of the room and waited patiently, watching as he signed something. Zarkon didn't notice (Y/n) until he finished signing the document on his desk and he looked up; her presence was a little surprising, but he didn't mind her being there.

“If it's alright, I need some relationship a-advice.” (Y/n) spoke hesitantly, feeling shy and a little embarrassed all of a sudden; she really wanted to be Sendak's significant other, although she came to the conclusion that she needed a little help.

“I don't mind. Tell me, what do you need to know?” Zarkon answered, fully prepared to put the young woman on the right path to romance.

(Y/n) took a deep breath before she explained everything to him, only she vaguely described the incident at the hot springs without directly telling him that she accidentally touched Sendak's dick. She also voiced her concern of how she wasn't sure if Sendak could ever reciprocate her feelings and how she was scared that if she confessed to him first then he would hate her. Zarkon listened to everything (Y/n) told him and thought about what advice he would give her; things between him and Honerva had a awkward start because he'd been afraid to tell her how he felt about her, he could barely speak when they'd first met, although after they really got to know each other things naturally went smoothly for them. Getting past that awkward start was the most difficult part for any couple, but with a lot of effort it could be overcome. Zarkon told (Y/n) about the usual courtship methods among his people and how relationships usually began; neither of her parents were there which meant Sendak couldn't have a ceremonial duel with either of them, so he would most likely begin with one of the next steps.

“So then if Sendak likes me he'll be extra affectionate or leave gifts in front of my door?” (Y/n) inquired, a little confused since she wasn't too familiar with how galra did romantic relationships.

“He might, or he might just take you somewhere private and simply tell you whether or not he wants to have you as his significant other. I've known Sendak for a while now and I believe he might do the latter, and he might have a gift for you when he does so. All you can do for now is wait to see what he does and keep being his friend. It might help if you're a little more affectionate with him, it would let Sendak know you're interested without directly telling him.” Zarkon answered calmly; he didn't know what Sendak would do when he told (Y/n) that he wanted to be with her for the rest of eternity, but he gave her his best advice in hopes it would work.

“I can try, but at the same time I'm scared that I'm over thinking things and that he's not really attracted to me.” (Y/n) responded with sorrow, afraid that her feelings weren't reciprocated.

“I'm no expert when it comes to love, that's more of Blaytz’ thing than it is mine, but I know Sendak well and his pheromones often suggest that he's attracted to you.” Zarkon assured the young woman who came seeking advice from him, wishing that he could have done more to help her.

It was nerve-wracking to be more affectionate with one's crush, but (Y/n) wanted him so badly and she was willing to do whatever it took for her to show Sendak that she was romantically interested in him. She graciously thanked Zarkon for taking the time out of his busy schedule to help her, then she left his office so she could go to her room and think of ways she could be a little more friendly to the man who'd stolen her heart. Zarkon smiled softly when he watched (Y/n) leave his office; he'd once found love and he wanted all three of his warriors-in-training to find love as well, he just hoped Sendak and (Y/n) would eventually end up together. In the meantime, (Y/n) had a lot of strategic planning to do if she wanted to let Sendak know she really liked him without actually telling him; she'd memorized his daily schedule and knew where he would be and when, except when it came to bathroom breaks because she wasn't creepy. She could trust Zarkon's advice because he'd been in a successful relationship before, she simply needed to have patience.

Sendak really, really liked (Y/n) as more than a friend and he wanted to be her lover, but when it actually came to wooing her he was clueless as to what to do when they were alone together; he was familiar with galra courting methods, although he simply wasn't sure where to start. (Y/n) was human, her culture was very different from his own, and he wasn't sure how to confess how he felt about her. During their trip he desperately wanted to come back with (Y/n) as his intended eternal mate, unfortunately luck wasn't on his side and after she accidentally touched his erection the rest of the trip had been a little awkward for them; those few seconds with her hand touching his dick had been pure bliss, alas it had been embarrassing for both of them. Sendak didn't know what else to do, so he sought Zarkon out for some advice since he trusted his mentor. He obviously wasn't aware (Y/n) did the same thing, and of course Zarkon wouldn't tell Sendak that, but Sendak really needed some advice. Sendak found Zarkon in the library, a good place where they could be alone and he could get the advice he needed.

“Is there something you need?” Zarkon quietly asked Sendak when the younger man sat across from him at the small table, noticing how his subordinate seemed a little anxious.

“Yes, there is, but I'm hesitant to ask. I need advice on how to show (Y/n) that I'm interested in her as more than just a regular friend. I tried when we went on our trip together, but then something happened that I would rather not speak about and the rest of the trip was uncomfortable for both of us. I'm not sure if she would ever consider being my wife in the future.” Sendak explained, hoping that Zarkon could help put him on the right path to wooing (Y/n).

Zarkon thought about it for a moment, and then he thought about it a moment more; he understood perfectly how hard it could be to begin courting someone, it'd taken what felt like forever for him to finally confess to Honerva, and he didn't want Sendak and (Y/n) to have to wait a long time before they became a couple. Sendak sat there and patiently waited for an answer, wishing that he had courage when it came to expressing his romantic interest for the young woman. He'd considered just leaving random gifts in front of her door, but he didn't want her to have to guess who left them there and by doing so he would just be wasting time.

“I believe that you should simply tell (Y/n) how you feel the next time you're alone with her, but make sure you have a simple first courtship gift. I understand that it's difficult, but the direct approach is the best option.” Zarkon answered after a few minutes of thinking it over, giving Sendak the advice he needed so badly.

“That's what I was afraid of. I can defeat some of the universe's most dangerous beasts, but when it comes to telling (Y/n) how much I like her I'm at a loss for words. Thank you for your time.” Sendak said as his ears drooped a little, knowing that Zarkon was right about him just confessing his feelings for (Y/n) before someone else made a move on her; he thanked his mentor before he got up and left the library, needing some time to think.

Zarkon was more than happy to help Sendak and he bid him farewell when he left the library; he finally knew without a doubt that Sendak really liked (Y/n) and she really liked him, and neither of them knew that he knew. The young emperor couldn't help but feel a little smug considering that he was keeping not only one, but two big secrets and he was the only one who knew their full truths. He would have to wait to find out whether or not Sendak would be successful, although he hoped that he would have the courage to begin his relationship with (Y/n). Meanwhile, Sendak took the time to plan out every little detail about when he could go somewhere nice and private with (Y/n), what kind of first courtship he would give her and how he would confess his feelings for her. Confessing his feelings for (Y/n) would take more courage than anything else in his entire life, he just hoped that he would have that courage when the time came.
