A Brainwashed Cult of Super Wolves - (Chapter 27)

I was laying in bed, pretending I was asleep, because Damon had snuck in and was trying to apologise to me again. I had told them all about our werewolf problem, and now he was trying to get back in my good graces by saying he'd deal with it.

He kept it up well into the night, so eventually I just turned around, kissed him, and pulled him down so I could use him as a pillow.

"Shut up and sleep, Damon. And don't do anything stupid."

"What are you talking about?"

"With the werewolves? Don't do something stupid. We made the mess, we'll both sort it out," I sighed. "I can't have you dying on me if we're going to work through our issues."

"So you aren't mad at me anymore?" He asked, wrapping one of his arms around my waist.

"A little, but I love you, so I can't stay mad forever." I whispered, snuggling closer to him. Earlier I may not have shown it, but I felt guilt for having to kill that girl. I don't even remember her name now, and it was only a few hours ago. Damon and I did a lot of terrible things but mostly all of them were self-defence, like this situation with the werewolves. They had attacked us first. So in relatiation, we made sure they couldn't do it again. Unfortunately, some must not have been there, which kinda sucks for us, because now we have vengeful werewolves on our hands, and they're not easy to kill.

I sighed, and he squeezed my side slightly.

"What's wrong?"

"We get rid of someone whose after us, and then someone else takes their place. I feel like all I do is kill evil person after evil person...we're never going to be left alone, are we?" I whispered low, so only he could hear, and no other supernatural person could listen in. "We're never going to have simple, happy lives."

"Simple is boring. Danger is a little more exciting, don't you think?"

"But danger puts you at risk, and I don't think I could live without you, you giant ass." I muttered.

"What was that? I didn't hear what you said." He teased me. I could practically hear him smirking. I pushed myself up, and then swung my left leg over his body so I was straddling him, and I kissed him hard. He responded only too happily, his lips moving in sync with mine, him sitting up so he didn't have to crane his neck to reach my mouth, his hands roaming every inch of my body.

I pulled away, teasing him, making him moan at me.

"I can't live without you, you giant ass. You promised me forever, and that's a promise I expect to be kept." I said, kissing the corner of his mouth, and then hopping off of him, and off of the bed.

"Where do you think your going?" He said, suddenly appearing in front of me. "I wasn't finished."

His mouth captured mine, and he backed me up against the door, trapping both my hands above my hand with his. I gasp, as he moves his lips down my neck, sucking on the flesh there.

Then I was reminded of why exactly I loved Damon. Even though he was getting as much out of this as I was, he was genuinely trying to take my mind off of our impending werewolf problem. And I loved him for that. I loved him for knowing exactly what I needed, sometimes before I even knew. I loved him for still making me blush despite the fact I'm a vampire. I loved him for making me feel human. And most of all, I just loved him.

.....................................................................................................................................................

I woke up as sunlight streamed through the window, burning through my eyelids, telling my eyes it was morning. I rolled over, managing to now be laying completely on top of Damon.

"Why are you moving?" He groaned.

"Sunlight. Is. Disgusting." I muttered, pulling the duvet over our heads, but not moving off of his body. I was quite comfortable now.

"We have to wake up." Damon muttered, frowning, obviously not happy about that either.

"Nope. I'm lying here, on top of you, for the rest of the day." I sighed, kissing his neck quickly, almost trying to persuade him to not move.

"Get up, Elena." He ordered.

"No."

"Fine. I'm sorry I had to do this." His fingers were instantly at my sides, tickling my skin, making me jump about five feet in the air, squealing with laughter.

He climbed on top of me, and kept tickling.

"Are you going to get up?" He asked, flicking a strand of hair out of his eyes.

"Never!" I laughed, as his fingers continued to torture me. My sides were beginning to ache from how much I was laughing.

"Okay...okay! I'll get up!" I said, laughing, until he stopped. "You'd think you'd want a naked woman in your bed all day."

"We need to sort this werewolf situation out. And we need to get started as soon as possible, besides, after that's done, we can go get married and then have more amazing make-up sex." He smirked at me, placing a quick kiss on my lips, before zipping round the room and putting his clothes on. I reluctantly climbed out of bed, and dressed myself. I wore a pair of waist high denim shorts, and a black bikini top, and that was it. Then I attempted at pulling a brush through my curls, but gave up and just pulled it up into a high ponytail.

I walked out into Poppy's living room, and found Bonnie and Matt making out.

"Holy crap on a cracker!" I yelled, slapping a hand over my eyes. They must have jumped apart because I heard a crash as something fell to the floor, and heard Matt curse under his breath, and groan in pain.

"What's going on?" Stefan's voice said from next to me.

"Is it okay for me to open my eyes now?" I asked.

"What are you talking about?" Lexi asked.

"The witch bitch and Matty getting hot and heavy on the sofa!" I said, loudly, pointing in their general direction.

"Don't call Bonnie that, Elena, you know she's sorry about betraying your trust! She's your friend." Matt scolded me. I quickly took my hand away from my eyes, so he could see the blazing anger.

"She's not my friend, Matt. A friend would have stuck by me, not the guy who walk out on me, and then got on a plane to a different country." I snapped, lividly.

"You seemed to have forgiven Damon. We all heard what happened last night. The walls aren't that thick." Bonnie glared at me.

"You wanna know why I haven't forgiven you, Bonnie? Because you're betrayal hurt the most. I expected it from Damon. I knew he was nervous about getting married," I said, knowing he was standing behind me. "But you? You're my best friend, and you went behind my back to help him when all I did was lock him in a freaking apartment! You hurt me more than Loki did when he almost killed me."

Bonnie's eyes welled up with tears.

"I'm sorry, Elena. I really am."

"I get it, Bon, I do. You're Damon's little red bird. You've got this weird friendship that I don't understand, but let's make one thing clear. If I want to punish him, I will. If you interfere with my relationship again, I won't forgive you," I said, smiling. "But that's not the issue here. You two...getting busy...on Poppy's couch. Care to explain when my little Bon-Bon started swapping spit with my Matty?"

"It's the first time its happened, Elena, I swear." Bonnie said, looking at me with wide eyes.

"Bonnie, it's cute. Scared the crap out of me, but it was cute. Besides, Matt's not technically mine anyway. And if you two love each other, than kudos." I grinned.

"But don't ruin my couch." Poppy jumped in.

"And that goes for you and Stefan too, Miss Branson! All couple business remains behind closed doors." I smirked at Lexi, who put on an all innocent face that she had perfected over the years.

"What made you say that?" She asked, her lips curling up into a smile.

"I know you, Lexi. You're wild, but Stefan here is a gentleman, so maybe he'll tame you." I joked.

"Don't count on it." She replied, chuckling.

"Anyway, joking aside, we need to get down to the serious business. The pack of werewolves Damon and I accidentally unleashed upon all of you."

"Why exactly did you slaughter half a pack of werewolves?" Poppy asked, sitting down on the couch, with Bonnie, Matt, and Lexi. Stefan sat on one of the chairs, and Damon and I settled in on the chaise lounge.

"It was an act of revenge. We were passing through the town, got attacked by a couple of the hair balls, and we got a bit carried away when we hunted them down afterwards." Damon shrugged his shoulders, one of his hands trailing up and down my arm.

"We thought we'd killed them all, but some of them must have been hunting at the time, and gotten away. The girl I killed last night...she was just a scout. They obviously thought the kid was ready to take on a vampire or quick enough to get away, but obviously she wasn't."

"But why did you kill her?" Matt questioned.

"Why not?" I asked.

"She was just the messenger."

"And killing the messenger sends a message, Matt. They'll be cautious now. They'll try to strengthen their numbers, and then they'll try to take us down, but first they have to find us. I'm sure they sent the girl to search the whole of Spain. So they'll have to figure out which town or city," I explain to them. "Which buys us some time to figure out a plan."

"We could lead them to a less populated area of Spain...?" Bonnie suggested.

"How do you actually kill werewolves?" Lexi asked. "I've been alive a long time, but I've ever had to kill a werewolf or heard of how you kill one."

"The same way you kill a human. Snap their necks, rip their hearts out...but this isn't a movie, so don't count on silver bullets to actually kill a werewolf. It'll wound it, slow it down, but it'll take a while for the silver to actually poison it." Damon explained.

"But that pack in particular were different. They were stronger and faster than normal werewolves, which means they must have been feeding on humans. Most werewolves vow to protect human life, because they want to be able to connect with their human sides by living a normal life, but there are rumours of seperate packs that joined together to make a 'Master Race' of werewolves. They're supposedly the strongest werewolves on the planet." I continued.

"So how did you guys kill them?" Stefan questioned, looking at me with complete and utter focus. He just wanted to know how to defend himself, I told myself. He doesn't love you anymore.

"We must have killed most of the newly initiated pups. I thought that the whole thing seemed to easy." Damon growled.

"Is that all the information you have on them?" Poppy asked.

"That's all we know. We were kind of pissed off, we didn't really think to research the dogs in more detail...but I think I know of someone who might know more." I smirked, my mind working through a bunch of different plans.

"Who?" Bonnie and Matt asked at the same time. Aw, that's so cute.

"Remember when I was dead, and you guys battled Klaus and Tyler? And my spirit buds killed Klaus? Who knows what happened to Tyler?" I questioned, trying to get them to figure it out.

"He ran away. We never saw him again." Stefan said.

"Exactly. Tyler ran. And who knows where he went? I do. Where do you go when you need a place to stay? You find family. The girl I killed...her dad was a Lockwood. Let's say that he offers Tyler help with his transitions and to train him to be stronger than before. Let's also say that Tyler, being slightly naive, accepts their help. But then when he realises that these people want him to join a brainwashed cult of super werewolves, he runs away again..."

"He'd have all the information, but he'd be far enough away from them that if we went looking for him, they'd never know. That is why I love you." Damon grinned, kissing me straight on the mouth.

I got to my feet, and put my hands on my hips.

"I say, we need to go dog hunting."
