Damian's POV

    I laid there on the ground looking up to the sky. The sun was setting and I needed to do something fast! I need to figure out a way to save Kyle, before it's to late. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and called Grayson, hoping that he would answer, and 9 times out of 10 he would always answer.

"Hey Little D! What's up!" You could hear how cheerful he was.

"Grayson! Kyle! She was taken!" I shouted through the phone.

"Oh no! What happened?!" His tone when from cheery to worried.

"No time to explain! get to my location as fast as you can!"

"Ok! On my way Little D!" He shouted. and with that he hung up.

    After a few minutes passed, of me lying helplessly on the ground, the feeling in my legs came back. I sprung up to my feet, and I quickly put my Robin suit over my clothing.I then pulled out my tracking device. The 'Kate' Necklace she wears all the time has a microscopic tracker in it. It took a few seconds to trace where she was and it turns out she's in a... ware house that had been abandoned for years. I had different emotions come over me, but i ignored them and continued to wait for Grayson. As soon as I looked up from the tracer, Grayson's motorcycle pulled up. I quickly hopped on and gave him the location.  We got there with in 5 minutes. We didn't have time to stand up the bike. We just hopped off, and let it fall to the ground. We headed towards the ware house. We kicked down the rusty old doors and quickly made out way in.

    It was a big open room,everything was dark, one dim light bulb lighting the area. Under the light bulb, was Britney. Sitting in a old wooden chair with a crooked smile plastered on her face. She narrowed her eyes when she saw us, standing there. Clueless of what was about to happen.

"Oh how long I've waited to do this..." She smiled even wider.

"Where's Kyle!" I demanded.

"Well all you had to do was ask!" Her smile slightly fading.

    She held up her right arm, and with one simple snap, the whole ware house lit up. We saw a rather small tank that had Kyle inside. She was sitting down against the wall covering her face. Slade was right beside her holding a sword, gently tapping the glass. My eyes widened. I tried my best to show no emotion, like I wasn't upset that Kyle was trapped here.

"Let her go!" I demanded, squeezing my fists together.

"That's going to be a problem..." Britney smirked.

"Just let her go!" Nightwing chimed in.

"You see, we didn't just bring her here, for you to defeat us, then happy ending for you.." Her smile completely gone. "There's going to be a happy ending for us this time! The reason we brought Kate here, was so she can die! With her out of the way..There can be a me and you Damian!" She screeched.

"There will never be a me and you!" I protested.

"Yes there will! and once she is dead...we'll be together forever..." she pointed to the tank that held Kate.

    I was done talking.  I ran up to her with my fist held high in the air ready to fight. She slowly stood up from the small wooden chair, and got in a fighting stance. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Nightwing fighting Slade, to keep him other wise occupied, while I fight Britney. I threw various punches and kicks at her, but she blocked them easily, she gave me one solid kick to my side, making me stumble back a few steps. I was letting anger take over my fighting, I needed to calm down, so I would have a chance to save Kyle from this. 

"Looks like Katie over there is going bye bye." She smiled standing over me.

"No!" I shout swept her legs causing her to fall and hit her head.

    I jumped up to my feet and ran over to the glass looking tank where Kyle was.

"Kyle!" I shout tapping the glass. 

    She looked up from her arms, and smiled. She stood up, and wiped some of the previous tears off her face.

"I'm hear your safe now!" I smile.

" I wouldn't be so sure birdie!!" Britney smirked.

    I turn around to see a grey remote in her hands. She pushed down on a glowing red button, causing the top of the glass tank, or so I through, to open up, ans start to fill the small glass tank with water.

"No!" I yell started to bang on the glass.

    Kyle had a sense of panic in her eyes, then some what calmed down. I Had tried to use a baterang to try and crack, or possibly break the glass, I even tried to use some of my explosives, but that didn't even make a dent in the glass!

"Kyle! Don't worry Batman! He's coming!" I panicked putting my hands of the only part of glass that was separating us.

    The water was now up to her thighs, she put her hands on the glass to match up with mine.

"I'm going to tell you something, that I've never told anyone else.." She somewhat smiles, ans a single tear came down her face.

I quickly nodded. "Yea, anything..."

"I-I've always loved you...from the day we've met to this very moment..Sure we've had some little fights along the way, but I will never love anyone else more that you.." Her eyes were now over flowing with tears, and the water was now up to her stomach.

A silence came in between us. We looked deeply into each other's eyes. "I love you to...Kate" I started sniffling.

"Goodbye." She almost whispered, the water up to her neck.

"No! Don't say that! Batman. Hood, Red robin! there coming!" I yelled.

"It's to late!" Britney cackled from behind me.

Kyle was now engulfed in the water, and she began to struggle for air.

"No!" I yelled violently banging on the glass.

    The movement from her body slowed, and she eventually stopped moving all together. I kept banging on the glass trying to break it. Batman, Red hood, and Red Robin all burst threw the door and stood there in shock.

"Well it's been fun! but we got to run!" Slade said slipping away into the darkness. 

    Before Britney left, She took out the remote and pushed the green button on the remote. She then faded away into the darkness. All four sides of the glass tank opened, with water spewing out in all directions. Kyle's body the floated out to the side, and I ran up to her as fast as I could. I put my ear to her chest, hoping to hear a heart beat..Nothing.

"Kyle!"I shout. 

    I propped her head up into my lap, wiping the strands of hair out of her face. I put my fore head into her and quietly started to sob. Everyone stood around me, staring in shock. Denying that she was really dead. Hoping that this was all some kind of twisted nightmare.

    Bad timing, but I have to patrol tonight. I really didn't want to though. I sat on top of Wayne productions, letting my feet dangle over the edge. Every time I tried to put my hood up, a big gust of wind would always blow it back down. I really don't feel like Kyle's really gone. It's like she's still here sitting next to me, telling me that everything is going to be ok. But it's not ok. I have failed to protect the girl I love most, and I will never forgive myself for that very reason.

Well guys that's It! This book is officially over. But I know for sure that i will make a second book!  I know it's a sucky ending. But this second book that will becoming along later today. It will be even more crazy than this one. I want to give a shout out to Yannie_Lynn since she helped me come up with some of this book. See you in my next book!
