"That all makes sense now..." Miss Martian muttered, "how stupid are we? The insane cravings, the mood swings, her inability to fight..."

"If we can't kill Wally, we can at least kill his wife and child." Terra shrugged, "still has the same satisfying fun."

"You monster!" Miss Martian yelled, "you really are Slade's student, huh? To be exactly like him! Wally had a reason to kill Slade, there's no denying it."

"Tch..." Terra shook her head, "he was my teacher... No one can bring him back now..."

"Hey, Miss M! Careful!" Bumblebee called as she ran to join the Martian, "these two... We can't take them on like this."

"Hey." The four girls turned to where the voice came from, and out of the darkness of the other hallway came Superboy, "you I thought you two had this all under control. But it looks like Artemis bailed."

"Conner?!" Miss Martian's jaw dropped.

"She was just a coward." Terra crossed her arms.

"Yeah, well, I don't blame her. If she's pregnant." Superboy shrugged "but hey, maybe you're just jealous that you can't pick up a husband, let alone a boyfriend."

"Why you!" Terra gritted her teeth as she rose her arms, bringing up boulders from the mountain's walls along, "I'm going to crush you!" She threw the boulders at him, only making smirk and smash them with his bare fists in return, "what?!"

"This is child's play. We can do this dozens of times." Superboy smirked.

"Fine! Take this!" Terra summoned more boulders and continued to throw them with fury at the Kryptonian, who only smashed them again, except for the last one, which he caught and threw back at Lightning, who wasn't paying attention and got hit by it.

"Jen! Tch..." Terra glared at Superboy.

"M'gann?" Superboy called, and seeing her opening, Miss Martian used her telekinesis to grab some rope and tie Terra's arms behind her back.

"Hey! What the heck?!" Terra growled as she tried to get free, to no avail, "why you, I'm going to get back at all of you!!"

"See?" Superboy walked up to Miss Martian and Bumblebee, "wasn't that hard."

"Hmph." Miss Martian rolled her eyes and hugged him, "thank you."

"I'm clearly very out of shape..." Bumblebee laughed, "but M'gann said you left."

"No. I was still here." Superboy scratched the back of his neck.

"Well, thanks for coming sooner." Miss Martian sighed.

"No, no. I could've come sooner. But there was something I needed to look into..."

"Hm? What about?"

Superboy looked away, then back at the two, "Nightwing wasn't able to receive the alert about the lockdown. I know that because his alert is on his Nightwing uniform."

"But..." Bumblebee was confused, "I heard he was out patrolling in Gotham. Isn't he already wearing the uniform?"

"No. It's still in his room here at the cave. And he's really on a different mission in Blüdhaven by his police force agent codename." Superboy explained, "he explained this to me on the phone when I called him up earlier."

"Why?!"

"There was an incident. Barbara's been abducted."

"Wally, can you please help put the groceries away?"

"Sure." Wally cracked his knuckles, then started to run. Then within seconds, all the groceries Artemis laid on their kitchen table were gone.

"Thanks." Artemis laughed as she hugged Wally.

"So..." Wally looked around, "when are we getting out of this rent?"

"What, and head back to your parents' place?" Artemis chuckled, "never."

"No, and get a more permanent place." Wally rolled his eyes.

"I don't know..." Artemis rose a brow, "maybe we can go house-hunting some day. It actually kinda sounds like fun."

"Yeah?"

"Mhm."

"Then we'll do that. Find the perfect place." Wally nodded as he pulled himself away from his girlfriend, "now if you'll excuse me, I have another paper to write."

"Ha. Of course you do." Artemis laughed as she went to go sit on the couch.

It wasn't until minutes later, Wally heard a crash and a sudden scream from Artemis. He quickly ran out and saw a man holding a sharp blade against Artemis' neck, "hey!!"

"So you really are the speedster..." The man's voice was deep.

"Let her go." Wally ordered, his tone frozen cold.

"W-Wally..."

"Don't make me tell you twice." Wally clenched his fists, ready to run.

"Oh, I'll tell you however many times I need you to." The man smirked.

"Tsk." Wally gritted his teeth, "what. Do. You. Want."

"Oh me? I just want you to give up your speed." The man peered his eyes.

"What?!"

"Come with me. I won't kill you."

"Don't do it, Wally!" Artemis screamed, but immediately stopped when the assaulter held the blade closer to her neck.

"Ngh..." Wally shook his head, "let her go."

Wally slowly took slow steps towards the man, not making eye contact but not stopping.

"Wally, don't!"

He looked up at the man, not being able to recognize what was under the black ski mask. But he went to stand next to the man, "deal. Now let her go."

There was a long pause, before the man started chuckling, "she's seen too much."

Everything went through slow motion. The man threw Artemis to the side, but at the same time brought the blade down ready to pierce her back. At the same exact moment, Wally was ready with a kitchen knife he grabbed and drove the blade into the man's back before the man's knife could even scratch Artemis. The man stopped and immediately fell over.

"W-Wally..." Artemis voice trembled, "is he..."

"Who is he." Wally helped her up, making sure she was okay. Then he went to remove the man's mask, and beneath it was the face of Slade Wilson.

"A-Artemis..."

"Wally? Are you..."

Wally's vision was blurred, and his head was still pounding through his skull, "dang, I feel like I'm having the worst hangover..."

"You woke from your coma sooner than I thought." Artemis smiled as she squeezed his hands, "how are you feeling?"

"Dizzy." Wally chuckled, "what about you? What happened?"

"Uh..." Artemis smiled sadly, "Jennifer was a traitor. She was getting inside information on the team and was trying to kill you. With the help of Terra of course. Trying to get back at you for killing Deathstroke."

"Shoot. You're kidding." Wally immediately say up, "is everyone okay? Are you okay?" Wally laid his hand on her stomach.

"Yeah, we're all fine." Artemis smiled, "it was close, but the baby's fine. My cover might've been blown."

"I told you not to fight too hard while you're in this condition." Wally shook his head and chuckled.

"Yeah. I admit, you win this time." Artemis laughed, "but let's get some rest."

"Okay. Whatever you say."
