"Oracle! We don't have all day!" Impulse shouted into the comm as they ran from Klarion's bolts.

"They should be there by now." Oracle said.

"Well, we're not seeing them." Alacrity said.

"Run outside." Oracle ordered. Impulse looked at Alacrity, who shrugged, and they did as instructed. Klarion followed then outside and they stood in the streets.

"Gninthgil emoc nwod!" Impulse and Alacrity turned to see Zatanna standing behind them, her arms out, directing lightning at Klarion, "ready for a rematch, Klarion?"

"NO! This business is between me and the speedster!!" Klarion yelled.

"What business? Your plan to kill me?!" Impulse asked.

"We can't and we won't let that stand." Alacrity said.

"Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do about it?" Klarion snickered, "you're just a couple speedsters and a helpless little girl!"

"Helpless?!" Zatanna gasped, "Oh, no...I think YOU'RE the one who's helpless, Klarion..."

"Am I really? You still keeping up with your baby magic?" Klarion cackled.

"Oh please..." Zatanna rolled her eyes as Klarion moved his arms in a circular motion, and a small, transparent, red dome engulfed him and Teekl.

"Ha! Can't get us now!" Klarion yelled, and Teekl meowed, "what are you talking about you stupid cat! She has no power here!"

"I nommus eht rewop fo Rd Etaf!" Zatanna recited her spell with her eyes closed, and her body glowed yellow as she started rising into the sky. Impulse, Alacrity, and Klarion both stared in shock. When Zatanna opened her eyes, they were glowing yellow.

"What is she doing?!?!?!" Klarion shrieked. Zatanna rose her arms into the sky and yellow bolts of lightning came down.

"Dne siht Drol fo Soahc!" Zatanna recited. Then she lowered her hands towards Klarion, and the bolts immediately crashed down on the dome, shattering it, and hitting both Klarion and Teekl.

"NO!!!" Klarion yelled, "NO!!!! NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!" Klarion kept yelling as he started fading away, "I WILL get you all back!!!! I WILL!!!" And then he was gone.

Zatanna slowly lowered herself back onto the ground in front of Impulse and Alacrity, and her eyes lost their glow, and everything was back to normal.

"How did you do that?" Alacrity asked.

"I've been preparing for the day I run into Klarion again." Zatanna shrugged.

"So he's gone forever?" Impulse asked.

"No. That wasn't a permanent spell." Zatanna said, "but its effect lasts long enough. About a few weeks, give or take, at the least."

"That's somewhat of a relief." Impulse let out a sigh, then turned to Alacrity, "sorry tonight was ruined."

"Hey, that was fun! I've always wanted to fight side-by-side with you, and I finally get that chance to!" Alacrity smiled. She leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek.

"Uh..." Zatanna smirked, "Let's get back to the cave. I'm sure Oracle is gonna be worried sick if you guys don't get back to her."

"Right. Right." Alacrity nodded, then turned to Impulse, who still stood a little dazed and red, "race ya back!"

"You're so crash!" Impulse beamed as they took off. Zatanna looked at where they were just standing, chuckled, then headed to the nearest Zeta Tube.

"That's the best you can do?" Nightwing can almost hear the smirk behind his mask. ALMOST.

"No." Nightwing put both his hands on Red X's shoulders, jumped over him, swung himself over Red X, and kicked his feet hard into Red X's back. He yelled out in pain and fell to the ground groaning.

"Kid! There's your opening! Get them out, now!"

Kid Flash picked up the two unconscious girls and ran off with them.

>> What do we do? << Blue Beetle asked.

>> We take him to the cave with us. << Nightwing said.

>> Are you sure? << Robin asked.

>> When have I never been as sure as I say I am? << Nightwing turned and looked at Robin peculiarly.

>> Hmph. << Robin finally said as he and Blue Beetle walked up to Red X and swung his arms over their shoulders, carrying him out to the Bioship.

>> Miss M, we're back. << Nightwing announced once the three got back to the Bioship.

"We may have a slight problem..." Miss Martian looked around the Bioship, and Kid Flash looked concerned, too.

"What?" Nightwing asked as he, Robin, and Blue Beetle looked around in confusion. Finally, Nightwing took in the fact that there was the five of them, and the TWO unconcsious girls...

"Wait, where's Jo?!"

"Exactly. She left..." Miss Martian put her hands on her hips, "she left this note." she held up a napkin with pencilled letters scratched on it, "thanks for getting me out. Might be seeing you guys again some time. - Jo." Miss Martian read.

"What does she mean?" Blue Beetle asked.

"She can be a little confusing at times." Kid Fash agreed, "she had no idea who her own classmates were."

"These two?" Nightwing gestured to the two unconscious girls, "I asked Mr. Torres if he had any info on the three girls before we left, and he had no idea who Jo was..."

"So she never went to Gotham Academy?" Blue Beetle asked.

"Guess not."

"Then what was she doing there?" Kid Flash asked.

"I have no clue....let's just get out of here first and get these two to the infirmary." Nightwing said, turning to Miss Martian. She nodded and directed the Bioship back to the cave.

Joseline peeked out from a dark alley in Gotham, then ran down further. She slipped out a blue and black cell phone and turned it on to find a picture of Artemis Crock and Wally West as the lock screen background. She had pickpocketed Kid Flash and "borrowed" his phone without him noticing. She sat against the cold brick wall and inspected the phone. She tapped the screen a few times, then she heard the phone ding. She swiped to the right, and the phone unlocked. She had hacked his phone.  She went straight to the call app and typed in a number. She waited, then heard the person pick up.

"Hello?"

"Mom? It's me." Jo said.

"Jo, where are you now?"

"I'm in Gotham." Jo answered, "I thought I could learn a thing or two about our little friend."

"How many times do I have to tell you? He can kill you. I'd stay out of his way if I were you." Jo's mom warned her.

"I know, but don't worry. I'll be fine." Jo reassured her.

"So who's phone is this? I didn't recognize the caller ID."

"I swiped it from someone on Batman's sidekick squad. I don't think he's even notice yet."

"Oh, Jo, you're doing so well! I'm so proud of you. Keep up the hard work!"

"How about you? Any recent hits?"

"I just hit the jewelry store we kept looking at."

"Lucky...save me something." Jo smirked.

"No prob."

"Look, Mom, when I was sneaking into Gotham Academy to find Batman, there was some ninja that I tried fighting off, but he was so good. Two other girls and I were kidnapped and taken. The ninja were about to experiment on me, but they got the other girls. I'm not sure what they did."

"Well, I'm glad and relieved to hear you still talking."Jo's mom chuckled.

"But who was it? Do you know?!" Jo asked.

"I'm sorry, but I'm afraid I don't."

"Okay...I'll see you in a few days, then."

"Okay then." Jo's mom finished their conversation, and Jo hung up.

Jo's mom put her phone aside and turned to her laptop. She typed in her password and resumed her video chat.

"My apologies. That was my daughter."

"You have a daughter?" One of the men on the video chat asked.

"I do."

"Is she working with the team?"

"I never asked her. But it is highly doubtful she will. I raised her to work solo."

"Good." Another voice said, "because we would like to accept you into the Light... Catwoman."

Catwoman glanced up from the screen, then back at the Light she was video chatting with.

  "Purr-fect." Catwoman smiled slyly, "when do I start?"
