"4 minutes, 30 seconds." Red Robin announced.

>> Any alternatives? << Nightwing asked Kid Flash and Impulse, who had joined him at one of the bombs.

>> Nope. Not finding anything easier... << Kid Flash sighed, >> There's no other way to disarm it without triggering the rest. <<

>> Guess we're all gonna feel the mode, then. << Impulse groaned. Nightwing rubbed his forehead as he thought hard, then a thought popped into his head.

"Red Robin, hack the building-wide PA system. Link me up." Red Robin turned to his screen and started typing rapidly. When he finished, he approached Nightwing and held his screen up to Nightwing's face, and he cleared his throat.

"Attention, Gotham Academy and Prep. This is Nightwing. We would like to advise all students and faculty to go into evacuation mode as fast and efficiently as you can. Walk carefully and don't touch anything suspicious. No horse play, either. This is not a drill. Evacuate, NOW." Nightwing announced, and before he knew it, the students and faculty filled the halls on their way out.

"Just in case we don't make it in time." Nightwing said, and Red Robin nodded in agreement.

"So what now?" Robin asked.

>> Hey, Kid. You know where all the bombs are located, right? <<

>> Yeah. <<

>> Superboy, you stay here and keep an eye on Slade. There are 15 of the rest of the squad, and 15 bombs. << Nightwing answered his question. There was silence for a few seconds, and Kid Flash understood what Nightwing was trying to get at. And soon after, Red Robin disappeared in a blur of yellow and red. Red Robin then found himself in front of a bag. In the bag was a bomb. Then he and Impulse took Miss Martian, Robin, Batgirl, Artemis, Jet, Soaren, Iggy, Max, Fang, Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, and Beast Boy to the other 12 bombs. They all stood before the bombs with wire-cutters.

>> Okay, you all have to cut the yellow wire at the exact same time in order to get out of here alive... << Nightwing explained to everyone as he scrolled through an image of the bomb.

"You won't make it...you'll all die..." Slade called over from the cage.

"Shut up..." Superboy punched the cage just enough to tip Slade's cage on its side.

>> Erm, three minutes... << Kid Flash reminded everyone.

>> What if this doesn't work? << Wonder Girl gulped.

>> ...then... << Nightwing thought hard, >> This is the best team any leader could ever ask for. <<

>> We'll make it guys. Don't worry... << Batgirl reassured everyone, and just hearing her voice in his mind made Nightwing shudder. The thought of losing her...

>> Babs... I love you... <<

>> I love you too, Dick. << Barbara's voice cracked.

>> I'll be with you in your dreams, Arty... << Kid Flash grinned, still trying to be funny for everyone else in a life-or-death situation.

>> What could go wrong? << Artemis tried to smile.

>> Be careful, M'gann... << Superboy said, >> and just know I love you, in case we don't make it...<<

>> I love you too... << Miss Martian smiled.

>> I love you, Sis. I'll really miss you... << Beast Boy choked.

>> I'll miss you too, Gar. You're the best brother any girl could want. <<

>> Fang... << Max shut her eyes and clutched the wire cutters.

>> I love you Max... At least we'll die knowing we saved all these kids like us... << Fang chuckled.

>> I love you too, Fang... << Max tried her hardest not to let a tear escape.

>> Okay...let's do this... << Nightwing true to shake away any sign of fear or doubt, >> As soon as I say 'three', everyone cuts their wires. << he felt his palms getting sweaty. He glanced back at Superboy, who was watching Nightwing carefully. Superboy nodded slightly, telling Nightwing that everything was going to be okay, and that whatever happens...

>> Okay... << Nightwing breathed. This is one of the hardest things he's had to do. He was putting some of the people he loved, a portion of his family, in a life-or death situation, and he can certainly lose everyone there, including the love of his life. He had no choice. He had to do this. To save the rest of the students and faculty, and to keep the school.
