"How long has it been?" Robin asked Batgirl as the two of them stood in front of the medical room window. They were watching M'gann repairing Nightwing's memory. 

"Ever since we got back yesterday." Batgirl replied, "she's been at it for at least twelve hours. He's still unconscious, so we won't see any progress until he actually wakes up." They kept watching until M'gann turned to the glass and saw them. She got up and walked out of the room to them. 

"I think it's done. All his memories have been restored." M'gann said, then she turned to the glass, "Psimon brainwashed 15 years worth of memories. Without this, he wouldn't even have remembered meeting Batman." M'gann explained, "or his parents dying." 

"Psimon must've really been working on his skills." Robin said. 

"Yeah. Yeah, he must've." Batgirl considered as she turned to Nightwing on the other side of the glass. Robin looked at Batgirl, then to Nightwing, then back to Batgirl. M'gann also noticed Robin's gestures towards her. 

"Barbara?" M'gann asked. 

"Huh?" Batgirl asked, then she shook her head, popping back into reality. 

"Are you okay?" Robin asked. 

"Yeah. Yeah I'm fine." Batgirl said. Then she gazed back at Nightwing. Robin noticed and smirked. Batgirl saw him in and put her hands on her hips. 

"What?!" 

"Oh, it's nothing...it's just that...do you...?!" Robin asked pointing from her to Nightwing. 

"What?! No." Batgirl said and crossed her arms. Then sighed and looked at the ground, "it's just that....I...I worry about him. I know he's already with Artemis, but...sometimes, I just regret that decision I made..." Batgirl said and looked back at Nightwing.

"It's okay." M'gann said and put her arm around Batgirl. 

"Yeah. Don't feel left out. There are a lot of other girls out there who feel the same way you do. Believe me. He's been through a lot of them." Robin smirked, earning him glares from both girls. 

"Not. Helping." M'gann said sternly. Robin shrugged as the three of them started walking down the hallway to the kitchen to get some food and water for Nightwing. As M'gann opened the fridge, Robin elbowed Batgirl. They looked over to the couch in the living room, and they saw Kara and Jaime sitting there together watching TV. Not just that, it was the fact that Jaime had one arm around her. 

"Let's go." M'gann said, catching Kara and Jaime's attention. They both turned around and Jaime immediately pulled his arm back. 

"Hey guys!" Kara smiled as she immediately got up, flew over, and plopped down on the closest seat to Robin at the kitchen island. She smiled awkwardly acting as if nothing had happened. Then Robin was the first to get the nerve to ask the main question. 

"Are you two...dating?!" 

Kara and Jaime immediately looked at each other. 

"No, no. We're just...friends...right?" Kara asked Jaime. Jaime crossed his arms knowing that Kara's crush was standing right there, so he didn't really know what to say. 

"Right. Sure. Just...friends." Jaime replied. 

>> You are obviously in love with this Kara Kent. Why deny it? << Jaime's scarab asked. 

"Because she likes Tim." Jaime replied. 

"What?" Robin asked. 

"NOTHING!" Jaime immediately answered. He forgot that Superboy was the only one who knew about him talking to his scarab, so everyone else thought he was crazy talking to himself. 

>> She also shows affection towards you Jaime Reyes. If this Robin character is the problem, then eliminate the Tim Drake so she will only have you. << 

"What?! No! Are you crazy?!" Jaime asked his scarab,  but now everyone was staring at him. 

"What?!" Kara chuckled nervously, "I thought we were just friends....Jaime!" Kara chuckled and glared at him.

"Oh, I meant...yeah. Right. Just friends." Jaime immediately replied. 

"Whatever you say." Robin said and the three of them headed back to the medical room. Then Kara turned back to Jaime. 

"Um, Earth to Jaime! I actually thought I had a shot with Robin!" Kara said as she sat down next to him. 

"B-but you don't, because he's with Wonder Girl, remember?" Jaime asked. 

"Wait, wait, wait....do you not want me to be with him?!" Kara asked in disbelief. Then Jaime's scarab spoke up. 

>> Tell her! << 

"No!" Jaime said. 

"Well why not?" Kara asked, "you know, you're my best friend, and I thought you'd actually be proud of me!" 

"I am! But, it's b-because...." Jaime stuttered. 

>> Tell her now! << 

"Fine!" Jaime said. 

"Fine what? You didn't answer my question!" Kara crossed her arms. 

"I'm sorry, Kara...look. I don't think he's your soulmate because...there's another guy out there who likes you..." Jaime said. Kara's face lit up.

"Really?! Who is it?! Did he tell you? Tell me who it is! Please! Is he cute? Is he hot? Please tell me, Jaime!" Kara pleaded. 

"What?! No, no. Kara, you don't get it...it's...it's me!" Jaime corrected. Kara stopped and stared at him. 

"...oh..." 

"Yeah. That guy....really likes you..." Jaime said. 

>> I thought you agreed that talking in the third person was weird. << Jaime's scarab said, but Jaime just ignored him. 

"And Kara, we both know that we're best friends, and I'm the closest friend you've ever had on Earth, but I was really hoping we could be...more." Jaime tried to say. Kara looked at Jaime, then at the floor, "I'm sorry if that sounds a little...weird and corny...but, it's okay if you still want to crush on Tim, but...just so you know. And don't let this affect our friendship if you think otherwise." Kara looked back up at him and smiled. 

"To be honest, I have had thoughts. But just to be certain, I'll think about it." Kara smiled, gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and walked away, leaving Jaime sitting on the couch stunned. Then his scarab chuckled. 

>> I told you. <<

"Shut up."

"There." M'gann said as she put the food and water next to Nightwing's bed. 

"I'm telling you. They make the cutest couple!" Robin said, earning him a scoff from Batgirl. Then Robin crossed his arms, "do you always do that when it comes to boys?" 

"Not all the time." Batgirl replied, then they heard Nightwing turning in the bed. 

"....Psimon..." Nightwing mumbled. 

"Nightwing? Can you hear us?" M'gann asked. Nightwing held his head and looked around. 

"W-what happened?!" Nightwing asked. 

"Psimon. He brainwashed you. Um, how much do you remember?" M'gann asked. 

"I remember...Psimon...Darkseid...the team...m-my parents..." Nightwing listed. 

"Okay. Good job Miss M." Batgirl said as she turned to M'gann. 

"So do you remember our names?" Robin asked. 

"Tim...M'gann...Barbara." Nightwing said. The three looked at each other and nodded as they let out sighs of relief, then they all turned to Nightwing as he started talking again, "where's Artemis?" 

"Do you know who Artemis is?" M'gann asked. 

"She's my girlfriend. Where is she? Is she okay?" Nightwing asked. 

"She's fine. The person we're worried about right now is you." Batgirl said. 

"I don't understand." Nightwing said. They all looked at each other in confusion. 

"Um, he probably just needs some rest. We should get going." M'gann said as she dragged Robin outside. Batgirl walked closer to his bed. 

"Just get some rest, okay Dick? I hope you feel better." Batgirl smiled reassuringly as she put her hand on his. 

"Thank you...Barbara." Nightwing thanked and smiled back at her. Then Batgirl reached up to his face and peeled his mask off his eyes. Then she put his mask on the side table and walked to where M'gann and Robin were waiting for her. They had concerned looks on their faces. 

"What's wrong?" Batgirl asked. 

"That's not Nightwing." Robin said, "I mean, that's not how Nightwing always acts. In this type of condition, he's always trying to get out of this situation and he'd force himself out to fight. He could never stay in bed and rest. He has to be physical all the time. 

"Robin. It doesn't work that way. This is...different." Batgirl said. 

"But he's right. I've been sensing bad vibes off him ever since he woke up." M'gann said. 

"Let's just let him rest. Then we'll see how his condition has improved tomorrow morning." Batgirl said as they walked off.

"You're sure this will work?" Klarion asked as Psimon sat in a chair in front of monitors and screens. Psimon chuckled and rolled his eyes as he attached wires to his brain then plugged the wires into the monitors. 

"Oh please...I'm positive it will work." Suddenly, the screens started creating an image. Then finally, the image cleared, and on the screen was the medical room that Nightwing was in. Klarion started cackling evilly. 

"Hahahaha! Those twerps have no idea what mistake they just made!"

As I was writing all these upcoming episodes/chapters, I've been coming up with so many new ideas! That Jaime/Kara moment was one of them!
