Wally looked at the mirror and smoothed his hair one last time before facing his friends sitting in his apartments living room. "You know what guys?" He turned to his two best friends and flashed (heehee puns :) his pearly teeth at them. Roy looked up absentmindedly from his phone and Dick just mumbled, "hmm?"
Wally looked at the mirror hanging on the wall over the coat hanger. "I am one good lookin' guy." Roy scoffed and Dick laughed.
"You're going to be late to your date with Artemis buddy." Dick stated. "What are you guys doing again?"
"I'm taking her to a guns and bow show, then to dinner, and then," he turned around and pulled out a little velvet box from his back pocket. "I'm going to propose."
The two friends raised their eyebrows and Roy asked, "you're mature enough to get married?"
Dick laughed. "No, that's why he's waited so long!" The pair stared laughing uncontrollably, and Wally crossed his arms.
"Very funny guys. Very funny." Roy snorted, and slowly stopped laughing.
"Hey man, we're just kidding. We know you can take care of yourself, we just want to make sure you're making the right decision." Roy looked at Wally with a caring gaze. "But besides that can I come to the bow show with you? They've got some sick bows and arrows there."
Wally chuckled and leaned against the door frame. "I'm taking Artemis on a date Roy, not you. And I've never been more sure of something before in my life." The three exchanged glances, then Wally grabbed his cost to protect him from the cool fall breezes and left the apartment.
Dick looked over at Roy. "How much you wanna bet that something will go terrible?"
Roy laughed and looked up. "Oh I know something will go wrong. We're talking about Wally here."
Dick nodded. "True."

"Oh look at this one!" Wally smiled as he watched Artemis gush over another bow. He listened to her comments on how well done it was, how polished it looked, then he spaced out until she was done.
He took her hand in his once she was done talking. "Can we go eat? We've been here for two hours."
His girlfriend shook her head. "Common Kid Mouth, let's go eat before you die of hunger." The two then walked out to Wally's car and went to a nearby restaurant. After the couple ate, they went back to Wally's (they don't live together yet) apartment to watch a movie. As they were sitting on the couch, Wally reached out and stroked Artemis' cheek.
"Artie?" He asked. She looked up at him with those big brown eyes.
"Yeah Walls?"
Wally took a deep breath and got off the couch. "Artie I have loved you for three years. I don't know what I would do without you, your smile, your laugh," he getting down in front of the couch on one knee and pulled out the little velvet box. Pulling out the ring he asked, "Will you-"
Before he could finish Artemis threw her arms around his neck. "Of course!" And kissed him lovingly on the lips.

Wally straightened out his tie one more time. It was finally his and Artemis' wedding day, and Wally was now standing at the alter of the church, with his best men Roy and Dick at his side. His friends gave him a thumbs up and a dorky smile. Then, the sound of the wedding march started to play, and Wally almost fell over. There was his Artie, dressed in a beautiful white gown sleeveless with lace. Her hair was pinned up, and was accompanied by Oliver, who was walking her down the isle.
"You're blushing," Dick commented as Wally stared at his future bride. Wally huffed and nudged his friends arm. Before he knew it, Artemis was standing next to him, her vale(?) covering her face. Wally lifted it up, and was awestruck by how gorgeous she looked.
"You look.. you look.." Wally stuttered. Artemis laughed and linked her arm with his.
"I tried to pick out a dress you would like," she said to him. Wally stroked her cheek gently.
"You never looked more beautiful than now," he whispered to her. She smiled warmly at his before the couple turned to the preacher. After a while, the two said their vows and the famous words were spoken.
"I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. West. You may now kiss the bride," the preacher said. Wally grabbed Artemis by her waist and pulled her close to him.
"I'm never letting you out of my reach," he said before leaning in towards her.
Artemis smiled. "That'll be nice," she said before touching her lips to his for a sweet, warm kiss.
Roy nudged Dick as everyone clapped and cheered for the couple. "That'll be you and Babs some day," he told the blue eyed Bat. Dick laughed and playfully shoved Roy.
