A/N: I literally just thought this up a bit ago, and just had to get the idea written down, before I forgot it. I hope you guys enjoy this next oneshot! I will try to come up with other characters to base the oneshots on, but Wally is my favorite, and I can't stop, because he's so fun to write about! Even his character designer in a couple of the comics, says he's an easy character to work on!

Wally West ran into the Cave one afternoon, and whizzed by the others, not even saying his usual hello to them. As he ran by, Artemis asked, "What's wrong with Baywatch? Why the heck's he running around here like a maniac on steroids?" M'gann responded, lifting a pan of cookies from the oven, "I don't know, but do you want me to find out for you?" "NO!", shouted Robin, Conner, and Kaldur in sync. All of them knew it would be heavily unacceptable for her to enter one's mind, when he or she wasn't in desire of it, or when they weren't on a mission. Doing it would be invading to a person's privacy, and they all remembered what happened, when Conner had dealt with it firsthand. Knowledgeably, no one wanted the clone to get mad about privacy to his mind, already delved into by Cadmus. M'gann blushed, and said, "Oh yeah, right. Sorry Conner. I forgot about that." The clone mumbled, "It's fine."

As Wally ran in through the kitchen, he didn't even stop to grab a cookie from the pan on the counter. Artemis' eyes went wide, as did Robin's, when the energetic speedster didn't take a treat from the platter, like he usually did. Artemis said, suspectingly, "Alright... Now I know something is wrong. Majorly. Baywatch never runs into the kitchen, and doesn't grab something to stuff into that mouth of his." Robin asked, "Then what could be wrong?" Artemis shrugged her shoulders, and replied stiffly, "I don't know...you're the detective. You figure out what's got Kid Dork in a bundle." Suddenly, Wally ran up to them, with worry in his eyes. He asked quickly, "Guys! Who's seen Slowpoke? I can't find him anywhere! And I've searched this entire cave already! He's nowhere to be seen!" Robin said, "I haven't seen him, KF. Have you checked the laundry room? Maybe he decided to go in there." Wally said, "I didn't check there, but I'll go try. Thanks Rob!" After the speedster raced off, Robin let out a groan.

Artemis asked, "Why'd you groan? Who's Slowpoke? Robin, what is going on?" The Bird replied, "I was afraid this would happen.... Slowpoke is Wally's pet turtle from the days before he got his powers, and became Kid Flash. Walls is really close to his turtle, and if he can't find it, I'm afraid he'll go berserk. And more importantly, he won't be the happy speedster we know him as." "Hold on... Wally has a pet turtle!? That's hilarious! The fastest boy alive, has the slowest land animal for a pet!", Artemis laughed, surprised by the fact. Robin said, "Yeah, he does. Guys, we have to find this turtle, and quick." M'gann said, "Uh, guys.... Can I ask you something?" Robin responded, "What is it, M'gann?" The Martian said, "What is a turtle?" Artemis said, "A turtle is an animal." Robin added, more descriptively, "More in detail, a turtle is an animal that can breathe air and water. They have a hard shell they can go into if they're- M'gann, what's wrong? You're crying." The Martian sobbed, "I think I may have accidentally released Wally's turtle into the ocean! I didn't mean to! He was just sitting there looking at me, and he looked like he wanted to be free! I didn't know he was Wally's pet!" 

Robin put a hand on the girl, and said, "M'gann, breathe. Tell us what happened slowly. It's okay." The Martian wiped her tears away, and said, "Okay, so I was baking some cookies one day, and this green creature came up to me. He looked like he wanted to go out, and I thought maybe since we were both green, that I would give him that. I took him outside, and he started to walk on the beach. I had my mind and eyes on him, and only turned away for a second, but when I looked back, he was gone. I tried to find him, but he wasn't anywhere on the beach. He just disappeared, and I haven't seen him since." Robin said, "We have to tell Walls." "W-we can't! You said it yourself! He'd be so sad! I don't want to make him sad!", M'gann cried. Artemis responded, partially choking on her words, because she didn't really want to say them, "M'gann, it wasn't like you knew. I'm sure Wally will forgive you for...releasing his pet into the wild. He seems forgiving enough." M'gann began to cry again, and flew off, truly hurt by the blonde's pointedly harsh tone.

Wally ran into the room, and said, "He wasn't in the laundry room, Rob! I've got to find him...even if it takes all day and all night. He's my pet." Robin walked over to the speedster, and said, "Walls, there's something we need to tell you... Slowpoke...he's-" Artemis interrupted, looking at Robin sternly, "I'm sorry, Wally, but I'm the one to blame for this. It was supposed to be a prank, and it went wrong. I thought it would be funny to make your turtle disappear for a few days, and I didn't realize how close you were to him." In that moment, there weren't any words, just open mouths. Robin was just as surprised as Artemis was, in the words that came out of her mouth. Wally took a breath, then yelled angrily, with tears in his eyes, "You lost him! Artemis! How could you!? I-I've got to go! I don't ever want to see your face again!" The speedster shot out of the Cave, faster than ever before, the Zeta-tubes just barely opening up in time. 

When he was gone, Robin said, "Artemis, you just took the blame for losing Walls' turtle. I'm surprised. You've never had a heart to do that." The blonde said, "He's passionate about M'gann, and she's so sweet, that I didn't want him to react angrily to her, for her mistake. Besides, I can take his wrath. And he'll cool down by morning, and be back here, all ready to argue with me. Nothing too big." Kaldur said, "Still, you took the blame for the mistake. I have never before today, seen you act this way about a teammate." Artemis insisted, "Really, it's nothing." "Mmhmmm....", Robin hummed, and said, "I think there's something more about this, that's got you feeling this way."

As the rest of the team went to find M'gann, Artemis sat down on the couch, and thought about why she had taken the blame. Robin was right; she had never taken the blame, just pushed it onto others, when she did something wrong. Why now did she decide to do it? Was it because she felt bad for M'gann, or was there something bigger, as Robin now thought? Was it because she knew Wally would be mad at her, or was it just the speedster in general? Closing her eyes, all the blonde could think of, and hear in her head, were his words, still echoing loudly. And surprisingly, she didn't care that they were mad words; she cared that they were just his words. 

A/N: So that's my idea, and I'm sticking to it. Actually, in the TEEN TITANS comics series (not sure of the year, but definitely a newer version), Wally does have a pet turtle. The turtle doesn't have a known name, but he is moved into The Tower, when Wally becomes Kid. And Wally is even seen in several clips, talking with this 'pet turtle', as well. (See below for proof) So yeah.... I wondered how fun it would be to have Wally have a pet turtle in the YJ universe, with a name.
