Just a quick note,
If the idea or mention of rape (but not act) are uncomfortable for you, I'm sorry but you might not wanna read this one. Nothing happens, just the mention. Anyway, on with the story!
Readers POV
I sighed as I walked down the dark street the cold air nipping at my skin, causing me to subconsciously wrap my jumper tighter around myself. Honestly, walking home after work was not the greatest idea, it being dark, at night, in Gotham, but I had no choice. I was only 15, so I didn't have a car, or a licence for that matter. Yes, I know, I should be in school, I shouldn't be walking alone, but when your parents are dead, and you have to take care of two younger siblings, you don't have much say in the matter. I patted my pocket, smiling as I felt the two 25c lolly pops, just imagining the joy on (S/N)'s and (S/N)'s face as I hand them the sweet.
Although, my happy moment did not last long, as I felt a large warm hand grab me around the mouth before pulling me into the alley that I had not even noticed I was passing. I felt my pulse quicken as another arm wrapped around my waist, both trapping my arms and keeping me still.
"Dun worry sweetie, we ain't gunna hurt ya. Much." The man of whom had grabbed me breathed down my neck, making me gag, both from the action and the stench of his breath that had made its way to my nose. "Hey, dun be like that sweetie, we might havta do somethin we'll regret, or you will anyways." I heard the laughter of maybe three other men from behind me, and could hear them creeping closer.
I felt hands begin to trail down my sides, I shook my head as my eyes begun to tear in a desperate plea to stop what was about to happen.
"What's wrong missy, dun like this?" One of the other men said smiling at me.
As their laughter filled the air I felt the hand around my mouth loosen, I took the opportunity to scream for help as loud as I could, before praying for help as I felt all grip on me tightening.
"Ya gunna regret that sweetie," The man said angrily, I shivered as I felt his breath creep down my neck, the tears falling from my eyes as I held in a sob.
"And your going to regret that." I heard a younger voice said from above.
As I blur of black, red and yellow came down the men stood on guard.
"N wat are ya gunna do 'bout it, huh." The man holding me said before placing a knife at my neck.
I heard a cackle, but not from the men, from the boy as the blur came towards us, a kick knocking the knife out of the mans hand. Before the blur flipped in the air, landing on the mans shoulders my twisting before bringing him down. With much similar actions as that of a gymnast the rest of the men were brought down in a matter of minutes.
"Are you alright miss?" The blur which I could now recognise as a boy around my age asked as he walked closer to me.
I didn't answer, just stare at him shaking in panic. "Hey, is okay now, their gone. See?" He gestured to the men on the ground, "knocked out cold, and the authorities are on their way to get rid of them for you." He crept slightly closer before lunging forward to catch me as I collapsed into sobs. "Hey, shhh, it's okay."
"Th-thank you," I said as he helped me onto my feet.
"Your welcome..." He said, leaving it blank, asking for my name.
"(Y-Y/N)" I said, still shaking as he let me go slowly, seeing if I could stand by myself. At that moment I finally got a chance to look at my saviour. Long hair, for a boy anyway, that came onto his forehead, slightly onto his eyes, well, the black mask that was covering his eyes. He was slightly taller then me, but once I looked at his uniform, I realised who he was. "Y-your Robin!"
He smirked once I said his name. "The one and only, now, how about we get you home."
"It's fine, I can get there myself." I said, as I begin to walk out of the alley.
"Oh no you don't! Walking alone is what got you in trouble in the first place, I'm taking you."
He grabbed me by the waist, causing me to hit him. "Oh, um sorry, I should I have told you I was gonna grab you." He said after he saw the panic in my face.
"I-it's fine, it was just a reflex."
He came over to me again, grabbing me around the waist and putting my arms around his neck. "Up we go!" He smiled at he shot the grapple hook to the roof.
"Wait, are we going to jump roofs, to my house?" I said shocked once he placed me onto the roof of the worn down house.
"Nah, the R-cycle is just over there, so only a few roofs." He smiled at me, pulling me along. "Recon you can make the jump?" He asked, looking at the gap of around two metres.
"I used to do gymnastics as a kid, so i might be able to." I said, slightly unsure.
"Well, don't worry, I'll be here to catch you!" He smiled, before flipping over the gap with ease.
I tried to follow but didn't quite make the jump, just as I begun to fall he ran forward and grabbed me by the wrists. He quickly hauled me up over the edge and back onto the roof.
"Okay, maybe we shouldn't try that again." He said helping me up.
"I'd rather not."
"Well, the R-cycle is just there, so we don't need to worry." Her said, leaning over the edge of the roof, before grappling another grappling hook and coming over to me. "Ready?" He asked as we came to the edge.
"As I'll ever be."
~time skip~
"Okay, next right and it will be straight in front of you." I said, before he turned the corner and pulled up beside the old run down house.
"You live here?"
"Um, yeah, me and my two younger siblings." I said scratching the back of my head.
"Wait, what about your parents? Or relatives?" He said, looking at me eyes wide.
"Um, mum and dad died a few years ago, my uncle is supposed to be taking care of us, but he only comes for inspections, helps us clean up, once it's declared adequate, he leaves. But it's fine, I work and we bring in enough money to survive." I say, smiling slightly, but I think he could see that it was fake.
"I'm going to find your family, whoever they may be, I'm not going to let you live like this."
"Hey, you don't have to do that, we're just fine."
"Actually, I kinda do, it's my job as a hero." He smirked at me. "Well, I better be off b-mans probably looking for me."
"Oh, of course, I wouldn't want to keep you. Bye Robin!"
"Bye (Y/N), oh, and by the way, stay whelmed." He smirked at me. I stewed over the words for a while, and just while it looked like he was about to explain, I replied.
"Stay traught Robin, and safe." He looked slightly shocked as I smirked back, before letting out his cackle and running back to his motorbike.
