Rolling his eyes he put the phone down on the bedside table. "Who was it?" The feminine voice asked as the red headed girl sat up. "Just Wally" he answered as the girl kissed his cheek. Moving away from him she opened her bag and slipped the black framed glasses on. "So is this where the smart Barbara went?" He asked lying back down watching as she took her laptop out. Bruce invited Jim and Barbara over when they got a call from the station. One thing lead to another and they ended up having sex.

     Her fingers glided across the keyboard as she typed quickly before fixing her glasses. "So no offense but why do you act like such a bitch at school? I mean Babs we used to be best friends what happened?" He asked as she rolled her eyes continuing whatever she was doing. Closing her laptop she sat up with the blankets covering her bare body. "While you started making those damn friends you drifted away. During that time I was alone since Dad was always working. Then my step-brother James Jr. showed up" she said looking away with a look of pain on her face.

     He tilted his head to the side. Dick never knew she had a step-brother. "He attacked me when I was alone one night in the apartment. Then he-you know what it doesn't matter anymore so that's why I am such a bitch. Who am I kidding? I mean who would be friends with a nerd anyways" she said with a dry laugh before quickly pulling her clothes on. He quickly got changed as he watched her stuff the laptop in her bag. "You're lucky you have the friends that you do. Mine are shit so treat them right okay" she said while pushing her glasses up.

     He quickly grabbed her wrist as she stood there looking down. "Masks. They hide our faces; they hide our fears. Take care of yourself Dick" she said before yanking her arm away from his grip and leaving the Manor. Walking into his room he sat on his bed and groaned. Just then his phone began buzzing as Zatanna's face popped up on the screen. "I'm a real fuck up without you here Zee" he said to himself before ignoring the call. What Barbara said about her step-brother was really bothering him now.

     Walking down the hallway he knocked on Tim's door putting a fake smile on his face. "Yes Dick?" Tim asked not looking too amused to see him standing there. "Can you do me a favor and see what you can dig up on James Jr Gordon?" He asked as the young teen raised an eyebrow. "Whatever I'll look into it" Tim said before shutting the door in his face. His phone buzzed with a text as the light illuminated his face while walking down the hallway. "Hey you missed my call which means you're probably busy. All of my stuff is moved in and your friends are really nice to me. Hopefully talk to you later love you xxx" the text said from Zatanna.

     Running a hand through his hair he stuffed the phone in his pocket and walked downstairs. "Maybe a walk will help" he mumbled pulling his jacket, hat and boots on before leaving the Manor. The snow crunched underneath his boots as he walked through the forest. White snowflakes gracefully fell down around him as he stopped by the river. "La la la I love snow!" A beautiful voice sung as he looked up. Across the river was oddly enough Kori. The girl was alone and sitting in the snow by the frozen river.

     "Hey Kori!" He yelled as the girl looked up and waved hello. "Hello friend Dick!" She yelled from across the river with a bright smile. His breath puffed out in front of him as she watched her stand up. The only way to get to the other side was to cross over the old tree that had fallen over. "I will do the meeting of you in a second!" She yelled before standing up and running down the riverside. Laughing he followed her on his side until he watched as she carefully walked over the old fallen tree.

     Jumping off she gave him one of her usual bright and cheery smiles. "It is the cold" she said rubbing her hands together as he smirked. "Want to get some hot chocolate?" He asked as she smiled and nodded happily following him out of the forest and into the Town. They were now sitting across from each other sipping hot chocolate. "This is most joyous friend Dick" she chimed as he nodded flashing his famous pearly white smile. It usually made all of the girls swoon when he did that. Kori simply blushed and gave a small smile.

     It still wasn't Christmas Break quite yet as they had two weeks until being let out for it. Artemis had been helping Jade and Roy take care of Lian when she got home from school. Currently she was tying her boots up getting ready to head outside. It was cloudy but the snow hadn't started to fall again yet. "Come on Arty I'm cold" Wally whined standing in the doorway jumping up and down to keep warm. Rolling her eyes she grabbed his hand and dragged him to her car. "So tell me how you got your driving privileges suspended by Barry and Iris?" She asked turning the car on listening it rev to life.

     A deep red spread across his cheeks standing out greatly since he was so cold. "Funny story um I was kinda going to drive Bart somewhere and may have accidentally went through the garage door when pulling out" he said scratching the back of his head nervously. "So if we drive by your house right now you'll have to garage door?" She asked as he nodded flashing a nervous smile. Just to make fun of him she drove passed his house and the garage door was broken down on the driveway.

     He grumbled when she snickered at him for being so idiotic. When arriving at school she heard everyone whispering for some reason. "Did the old Barbara travel through a time machine and appear in the future?" Wally asked in a low whisper as Artemis raised an eyebrow. "Ew what the hell are you wearing?" A loud voice asked catching everyone's attention. Linda and Hilary were towering over a red headed girl with glasses, plain green shirt and jeans. "Is that a new girl or something?" She asked not recognizing the girl the two were picking on.

     Wally shook his head still shocked. "No that's Barbara Gordon" he said as she blinked a couple times. There's no way this quiet nerdy looking girl was that bitch who hung out with Hilary and Linda. I mean she had no makeup on, glasses, lounging clothes and plain running shoes. "Clothes" Barbara said duly as her friends hissed at her. "Those aren't even name brand!" Hilary yelled as Linda nodded in agreement. "How are they wearing heels in this weather?" Wally asked as they watched the argument unfold. "They keep spares in their locker" Artemis muttered as her boyfriend nodded.

     The bell rang but Barbara continued to get an earful from Hilary and Linda. The classes were boring as Artemis doodled in her notebook the whole time. "May I go to the washroom?" She asked feeling so bored that she needed to get out of class. Walking down the hallway and silently going into the washroom she heard muffled sobs. "Hello?" He asked as the crying immediately stopped. Opening one of the stalls Barbara was curled up on toilet sobbing. "What's wrong?" Artemis reluctantly asked because she had never seen this girl cry before.

     Artemis didn't even know she another emotion besides bitchiness. "Why? I've never been anything but cruel to you so why do you care?" She asked while wiping her tears on her sleeve. Artemis sighed and leaned against the inside of the stall. Oddly they kind of related in some shape or form. It felt like so long ago but Artemis used to be as scary as Barbara was. "We all need someone to vent to and I so happen to be here not wanting to go back to class" she said with a smirk as Barbara let out a dry laugh.

     Pressing her hands to her eyes she sighed and began to speak. "I was helping the Dad at the station last night. It was late when we got home and I overslept this morning. Lost my eye contacts yesterday so I had to resort to my glasses and then just pulled whatever was in my closet on" she sniffled out as Artemis nodded. She knew the feeling of staying up late because of her father only to sleep in and nearly be late. "That doesn't seem to be it though is it? You're different" Artemis said as Barbara leaned her head against the stall.

     It was silent as the buzzing of the fluorescent lights echoed through the washroom. "I had an eye opener this weekend. I was so lost in being someone so fake and rude that I forgot who I was inside" she said in a small voice as Artemis raised an eyebrow. This was becoming quite amusing to her. "Eh screw those two self-absorbed hoes anyways" she muttered wrapping her arms around her knees. "So what is the 'real Barbara Gordon' like?" Artemis asked still trying to evade class. The red head clicked her tongue against her teeth.

     "Dick and I used to be best friends, we were too nerdy for our own good and always at the top of our classes. Like that guy Tim who hangs in your group I'm a tech genius" she said rolling her eyes with a dry laugh. The blonde was now honest let intrigued by her now. "Well if I could change then you can. Trust me I was way further gone that you are. Have a little hope and determination" Artemis said using her hands as emphasis. "Anyways I have a tech class I'm supposed to be in. See you around Crock" she said standing up as the blonde stopped her.

     "Barbara just call me Artemis and for your own good stop bullying people and hanging out with Linda and Hilary" she said as Barbara looked down and gave a small nod before leaving. Standing in front of the sink she stared into the mirror. "I'm seriously becoming everyone's damn therapist. I should start charging" she muttered before washing her hands and heading back to class. Lunch was a whole different story as she noticed Barbara climbing on the stage and going behind the curtains.

     Wally sat down next to her and gave her a confused look. "Earth to Artemis?" He asked as she snapped back and looked over at him. "So I found out who Dick slept with" he said in a lower whisper as she smirked. "It was Barbara Gordon" he whispered as she paled. "Okay unless Dick can fuck a girl to another personality then that's just weird" she said as Wally covered his mouth to muffle his laugh. Just then Linda and Hilaey began demanding everyone's attention as they stood up on their table.

     Everyone at the table groaned in an annoyed tone. "Attention everyone! Barbara Gordon is a dirty fucking slut! You should see her nudes from when she was younger! She clearly likes it rough from what the pictures look like!" Hilary yelled as Linda nodded in agreement. The Cafeteria went dead silent as the red head dashed out from behind the curtains and out the Cafeteria doors. They had no right to do this to her, even if Barbara was a bitch so was Artemis at one point in her life.

     Standing up Wally immediately began tugging on her wrist. "Babe sit down" he whisper yelled but when Artemis was mad she was mad. Everyone at the table was whispering for her to sit down but it didn't matter. "What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked in a sickeningly sweet voice looking up at the two smirking girls. "Sorry but Barbara's been a naughty girl" Linda said as the two laughed. Artemis had a wicked smirk on her face when she said that. "Remember how I said the next time I see you you'll be leaving with more than a bruised tailbone?" She asked batting her eyes as everyone in the Cafeteria gasped.

     "So get the hell down from the table before I bring you down myself" she grit through his teeth as someone grabbed her hand. "I really don't think you should be doing this Artemis" Wally said in an uneasy voice as she shook him off of her. Backing down was not an option especially if it was when they were being ignorant like this. "Whatever bitch" Hilary growled as her and Linda climbed off of the table. "Good now be nice and sit down without making another peep out of those botoxed lips!" Artemis snapped before turning around and leaving the Cafeteria.

It was definitely a day of Justice.

A/N: Is Barbara coming to the light side? What dark past is she hiding hmm? The next couple Chapters are going to really be interesting don't worry!
