Thursday rolled around as Jade was fast asleep in bed. Her sleep schedule was usually out of wack but ever since she passed her six month of pregnancy she had been sleeping more. Eight months going on her last one soon was starting to get more tiring. "Hey" Roy whispered as he sat up watching her turn around and wrap her arms around his waist. When she was half asleep she was usually more touchy feely and affectionate. "Hey Ollie and I are going to the gym I'll see you later at the baby shower" he whispered leaning down and kissing the top of her head.

     Unwrapping her arms from around his waist he stood up and got changed. He made sure to tuck her back in gently before leaving. By the time she was fully awake it was when Artemis had walked in. Jade felt someone poking her as she groaned and pressed her face further into the pillow. "The baby shower is starting in an hour so get up and get dressed" her sister said before walking out of the room. After a couple minutes she sat up and shuffled to the washroom attached to the bedroom.

     Rubbing her eyes she turned the shower and stripped from her clothes before stepping in. The warm water did not help her wake up at all. After a couple of minutes standing there with her eyes closed the water changed to freezing cold. Her eyes shot open as she heard snickering. Fixing the temperature she poked her head out to see Roy leaning against the counter brushing his teeth. "Looked like you needed something to wake you up" he said with a cheeky smile as she growled and mumbled curse words under her breath.

     Sticking her hand out he gave her a towel as she wrapped it around her body. "Eight months pregnant and you still look fucking hot" he said as she rolled her eyes. Compliments were nice though even if his language was rather vulgar. "Hey you swear too" he said as she crossed her arms. It was true she did but not as much as he did. "Have you thought of names?" He asked as she looked up at him from drying her wet hair. "If its a girl its going to be Lian" she said as he raised an eyebrow.

     He didn't question it though because she would either glare at him or give a long answer. "Well whatever we name it they'll still be cute" he said before kissing her belly. Jade hardly ever blushed but he caught a light shade of pink dusting her cheeks. When she was changed and ready Roy helped her downstairs. "I don't need help" she grumbled as he smirked and helped her anyways. The baby shower was outside on the large deck of the backyard. "Their here!" Artemis announced as everyone clapped.

     All of Artemis's friends were there and some of Oliver's colleagues and friends as well. Even the Wayne's were there which was cool. "Why are your friends so nice?" She asked standing next to her sister. Roy was dragged off by the guys to talk about things and hangout. When the girls planned the shower they decided to invite the guys instead of having it as an all girls thing. "They're your friends too Jade" Artemis said before pushing her sister over to the girls. "All of the gifts are over there, we'll open them later" Megan said as all of the girls smiled.

     Even Zatanna had a smile on her face today. Jade spent her time getting congratulations from most people and talking with her 'friends'. "Okay its time to do the gender reveal!" Dinah announced pointing to the piñata shaped as a soother. Jade and Roy walked down and were handed a bat. "Okay please don't hit me" he said holding the piñata up as she grinned. Getting ready she swung the bat and hit the piñata as hard as could. When it broke a bunch of pink glitter flew out covering her and Roy.

     She dropped the bat and smiled watching the coloured glitter gently glide down to the grass. Everyone on the deck cheered as Jade smiled and hugged Roy taking him off guard. Again, he wasn't really used to getting affection from her in public. "We'll name her Lian" she whispered into his ear as he nodded hugging her awkwardly. When walking back onto the deck all of the girls bombarded her in a giant group hug. "So what's going to be her name?" Artemis asked as all of the girls nodded eagerly. "Lian" she said as Artemis raised an eyebrow.

     The blonde was a little confused. After all 'Lian' was her middle name. "She'll be named after my little sisters middle name" she finished as Artemis smiled and awkwardly hugged her sister. Music began playing as everyone was on the dance floor dancing. Her and Roy were having fun as he spun her out and in like a spinning top. The sky was beautiful even if it was a little chilly outside. Even though it was November Megan was determined to have the baby shower outside.

     While dancing she even saw her sister smiling with that red headed idiot. "One month to go huh?" Roy asked as they danced. She rolled her eyes and gave him a small nod. "That means one month until I can hold her, feed her and do stuff that cool Dad's do" he said as she stifled a dry laugh. Roy had been talking to her for the past eight months about being a 'cool' Dad as he puts it. After dancing it was time to open the presents that everybody gave them. All of the presents were normal presents that people received at baby showers.

     But when it came to Artemis's gift her breath was immediately taken away. It was a silver locket with a picture of her, Artemis and her mother all smiling. Covering her mouth in shock she tried to hold back oncoming tears. Crying in front of people was not her style at all but she couldn't help it. Seeing a picture of her mother after two years was hard. They all looked so happy and carefree. "Hey Jade are you okay?" Roy asked kneeling down in front of her as tears streamed down her cheeks.

     A moment of weakness that's all it was. Folding her fingers over the locket she held it to her chest. Jade never thought she could miss her mother this terribly until now. Standing up she made a B-line into the Mansion. The shower soon ended after that. Curled up on her bed she rested there were her eyes closed. A flood of worries and fears were swirling around in her mind. The weight of the bed shifted as Roy rested beside her. Sometimes he didn't need words to make her feel better.

     She awkwardly turned over to face him before burying her face into his chest. Emotions were always let out behind closed doors for her. To everyone she was fearless, dangerous and many other things. She could not afford to express her emotions in front of people. Well Roy didn't exactly count he was that one exception. "I don't want to be a bad Mom" she sniffled out as he wrapped his arms around her. "Jade Nguyen I know that you'll be the greatest Mom that has ever walked this Earth" he whispered as she stayed silent letting him hold her.

     Fears like this is what kept her awake at night. That was partially why she has been always tired lately. "You're right Red" she muffled into his chest as he smirked. Jade had a pet name for him that she used sometimes. Roy could never find a pet name for her that wouldn't make her want to bitch slap him so he just sticks to Jade. "Let's have a nap" he said while yawning as she nodded in agreement. All that partying had tired them out greatly.

After clean up Artemis wandered upstairs and into her sister's and Roy's room. A soft smile graced her face when she saw how cute they looked. Walking over to the bedside she could see a hint of the silver locker wrapped up in Jade's hand. Sighing she quietly left the bedroom to leave the two to sleep peacefully. The only one who was now still there was Wally. "How's your sister?" He asked while taking a sip of water. Ollie was out again with Dinah for dinner tonight and apparently it looked special.

She walked over and wrapped her arms around him resting her head against his chest. "They're good, sleeping but good" she said as he nodded finishing his glass of water. "I'm going to be an Aunt in one month" she said as he smirked kissing the top of her head. "Doesn't that make me the technical Uncle?" He asked as she looked up at him with her steel grey eyes. "Whatever" she muttered as his eyes lit up happily. "Wow I've never been an Uncle before this will be so cool" he said as she leaned up and kissed him quickly.

His cheeks flushed a bright red. Usually when she did that it meant he was talking too fast again. It was dark out and he just texted his Uncle that he was staying at Dick's house. In reality him and Artemis were going to pull an all-nighter watching movies. "So we're going to start off with Disney movies" he said as she rolled her eyes. They were walking up to her room where she had her television. "You set up whatever and I'll get the snacks" she said with a wink before turning around and walking back downstairs.

She microwaved six bags of popcorn and brought up a case of soda. Carefully walking up the stairs into her room he was still fiddling with the television channels. "I brought the snacks" she muffled out from holding a bag of popcorn with her mouth. Dropping everything onto her bed she sighed feeling how tired her arms were. "Its the second channel after Netflix" she said as he nodded scrolling down with the remote. Grabbing her pajamas she walked to the washroom and changed quickly.

All she wore was one of Wally's sweatshirts and black sweatpants. "So that's where all of my sweatshirts have been going" he said amused as she jumped onto the bed and opened one of the bags of popcorn. Finally he got it to the movies main screen as he sighed. Turning the lights off he sat down next to her and clicked play as the movie began. "So this one is about-"

"A little girl who fell down a hole. Alice in Wonderland" she said staring at the screen.

     He watched as she studied the screen closely without so much as blinking. "Artemis are you okay?" He asked as she jumped slightly and nodded. "Yeah I just love this movie" she said before leaning against him and eating popcorn. "I thought you haven't watched Disney movies before" he said as she rolled her steel grey eyes at him. "This one I have. When Jade and I were younger she found this movie and-"

     She was walking home from school with her sister walking ahead. "Jade wait up!" She yelled before running after her. Being left alone scared her a bit. When running she tripped and fell cutting her knee. Tears brimmed her eyes as she began crying. "Artemis are you okay?" Jade asked kneeling down in front of her. Navy blue pleated skirt pooling around her as she picked the blonde up. "Dad is going to be mad isn't he?" The girl sniffled out as her sister shook her head. "Dad's on a business trip with Mom so we get the house to ourselves" she said as Artemis smiled happily.

     Before there were any maids or chefs Artemis and Jade stayed home alone. Walking up to the house the girl was placed down on her feet as Jade fiddled with the keys. The large door opened as they walked inside the quiet house. Immediately locking the door she grabbed Artemis's hand and dragged her to the kitchen. "Here" she said cleaning the small cut and putting a green bandage on it. "Oh so I have a surprise" Jade said as her younger sister's eyes lit up.

     Artemis always enjoyed surprises. She was only six and Jade was the mere age of eight but they were still left home alone. "I found this cool movie we could watch" Jade said with a wide grin on her face. Artemis jumped down off of the counter and frowned. "Dad said we can't watch movies" she warned as Jade shook her head and laughed. "Well he's not here is he?" She asked as Artemis giggled. They ran into the living room as she climbed onto the couch. She watched as her older sister fiddled with getting the movie into the disk player.

     After waiting Jade ran back and jumped onto the couch. They were both wrapped up in a blanket as they watched the movie over and over again for hours.

     Artemis then had a frown on her face. "We didn't know he had a camera in the room. He hurt Jade badly when he got back but she hid the movie under the floorboards of her room. He never found it and never will" she said in a shaky voice as he wrapped her in a hug. "That's why she calls me Alice sometimes" she said with a sad laugh as they continued watching the colourful movie.

A/N: Had to edit the Chapter because my dumbass thought it took twelve months for a baby to he born oops. I need more sleep....
