"Miss Crock you are to join the swim team if not you will be held back a grade!" The principal Mr.Kent yelled. "Why the hell should I! It's so damn stupid!" The blonde screamed as her face was flushed with anger. "After school at three o'clock sharp. I expect to see you there Miss Crock" and with that Artemis stood up and stomped out of the office.

It was lunch now so she walked to the Cafertorium and grabbed a sandwich and water bottle. Heading outside the fresh air soaked into her body. Outside was nice to say the least, one of her favourite places to be during stressful times. She usually sat alone but today was different to say the least."Hey Arty mind if I sit with you? Of course not, what's up?" The red headed boy asked sitting beside her under the large maple tree.

"Artemis it's Artemis" she mumbled under her breath which only made him smirk.

He shifted towards her making her shift away from him. "Can I have half of your sandwich?" He asked eying it hungrily. "No" she said taking a bite out of it. When he tried to grab at it she held a switch blade to his neck. "I wouldn't advise doing that" she threatened flicking the blade away and putting it back onto her jacket pocket.

He gulped but continued speaking like nothing had happened. "So are we going to work on the project after school beautiful?" He asked smirking evilly. He knew he was getting to her which he liked. "Can't, I have swim practice" she said confidently. Maybe joining the swim team wouldn't be to bad after all.

He frowned but then started smiling. "Cool I'll join too so we can hang out" he said and with that he stood up and walked away smiling from ear to ear. She growled suddenly loosing her appetite. "Hey idiot want my sandwhich?" She yelled to Wally who was walking across the field.

He ran over to her and looked at the half eaten sand which in her hand. "What did you do to it?" He asked taking it but raising an eyebrow. "Nothing your idiocy just made me loose my appetite" she countered as she turned on her heel and walked towards the school. He shrugged his shoulders and ate the sand which she gave him.

He had lunch money until someone stole it from his locker. The rest of lunch flew by like a bird. Gym started and the blonde girl was in the usual archery area.

'Does this girl ever do anything besides shooting arrows and trying to hurt me?' he thought to himself.

"Hey Arty" he said dragging the nickname out because he knew she hated it.

"Leave me alone" she muttered shooting yet another bulls-eye.

"Do you ever do anything besides archery?" he asked crossing his arms and leaning against the wall.

"Do you ever do anything besides annoying me!" She yelled back shooting an arrow right beside his head.

His breath hitched as his face went pale for a moment. "What the hell's wrong with you! You could've missed and killed me!" he yelled ripping the bow from her hands.

Artemis glared hard at him as she crossed her arms. "I don't miss you idiot" she said flatly as she snatched the bow back. He left the gymnasium skipping the rest of gym class.

'Why do I feel guilty all of a sudden?' she thought to herself.

The girl missed every target after he let which was quite odd. She headed to her Ancient Mythologies class next. The blonde sat in the back corner like usual looking out the window. A guilty feeling washed over her. She knew it was wrong for shooting at him like that. She knew she wouldn't have missed but it was still morally wrong to do.

The girl was suddenly brought back into reality when the teacher said her name. "Miss Zatara since you're late to my class you may take a seat next to Miss Crock in the back" Mr. Fate said as she groaned. 'Great another person who might annoy me' she thought to herself.

She didn't see the girl until she sat down next to her biting her nails nervously. It was that girl who ran into her the day before. Her uniform was a little wrinkled and she looked dazed with a hint of red dusting her pale cheeks. "Who made you so love sick?" she asked curiously. Artemis never had time for boys except for that boy in grade seven, she didn't like to get into details about what happened to him.

The girl let out a dreamy sigh. "Richard Grayson" she said with a sigh. Artemis raised an eyebrow intrigued. Richard Grayson was one of the rich kids who wasn't arrogant and cocky. "Miss Zatara can you answer the question?" Mr. Fate said sternly. Zatanna looked up still dazed as she responded. "Hold on I'm talking about my love life, the ancient creatures can wait a sec" Zatanna said smirking.

Everyone laughed and Artemis could see his face turn red from anger. "Miss Zatara office now!" He yelled pointing to the door.

"Oh we're gonna get along just fine" Artemis said as Zatanna flashed her a smile before skipping out.

'I think she is one of the first girls I've met in this school that don't care about the teachers' Artemis thought with a smirk. Class ended as she groaned realizing she had to go to that stupid swim team thing. However she first had to apologize to Wally because the guilt was eating her alive.

She leaned against her locker and waited for him to come to his. Wally stopped in the now empty hall eying her weirdly. He walked over slowly until he was standing over her. "What?" He asked in an intimidating tone.

"I wanted to apologize for the way I acted earlier. It was morally incorrect of me to aim near your head. That will be all" she said and with that she walked away towards the schools pool area.

Artemis rolled her eyes when she heard him close his locker and run towards her. Artemis just knew he was smiling. "Wow how far into your soul did you have to go to find the apology place?" He asked dryly. Instead she stayed silent, entering the pool area to see Mr. Curry standing there holding a clipboard. "Miss Crock I see you have showed up with?" He asked looking at Wally.

"Wally West, I've also always wanted to meet you Aquaman I mean Mr. Curry sorry" he blabbed out all at once.

Mr.Curry was the fastest swimmer in the world and held the record for holding his breath under water the longest. He earned the name Aquaman by achieving these. "Get changed and get in the water. I'll have Kaldur'ahm help you from there" he said writing their names down and pointing to the change rooms. She had her dark green bikini that she put on and tied her hair up in a bun.

She walked out and looked around nervously. Everyone was staring at her. Quickly she went in the pool and crossed her arms as her body flared up with goosebumps. The pool was colder than she expected. Artemis soon became drenched with water when that red headed idiot jumped in the water. Before she could kill him a dark skinned guy with shaved blonde hair swam over. He had a fit body with black tattoo's traveling up both of his arms. He was hot but not her type. "Hello I am Kaldur'ahm but you may call me Kaldur" he said with a smile.

He spoke so formally. "So Kaldur what are we supposed to do because I just followed her" Wally said draping his arm around the blonde.

Artemis shrugged his arm off and pushed him under the water. He resurfaced as Kaldur frowned at her. With the look she was giving Wally he didn't dare put his arm around her again. "Well swim team is every other day after school. Aquaman is usually calm so he let's us relax so we only really train once a week. Today is one of our relaxing days so have fun" Kaldur said with a polite smile.

She swam away from the red headed idiot as he talked to Kaldur. The team wasn't very big and consisted of a low amount of people. She floated on her back closing my eyes to think while she had time. The girl suddenly heard a very perky voice. "Hello my name is Megan" a girl with cockaisian skin, freckles dusted on her cheeks, dark red hair almost a brown, and chocolate brown eyes with a hint of orange in them stood in front of her.

She was wearing a blue one piece as she extended her hand towards Artemis. 'Am I really losing my reputation from being feared so fast?' Artemis thought to herself. "You know who I am" she then muttered only to see Megan's perky smile drop.

"I know i just wanted to introduce myself. I want to meet new people and make new friends since I don't have many" Megan said with a frown.

Artemis sighed and reluctantly shook her hand seeing her smile immediately returned to her face. "My names Megan, Megan Morse. I would like to be your friend if you'll let me" she said with a smile. Artemis knew exactly who she was, she moved here two years ago from one of the small islands in the Carribean area. She doesn't have many friends but she has a go lucky attitude even though that chick Hilary picks on her.

Megan talked a lot and smiled a lot but she didn't mind. "So Artemis who do you have a crush on?" She suddenly asked. Artemis frowned and rolled her grey eyes. They were floating in the water with their eyes closed just talking about anything that came to mind. "Don't have one, I never really had time for boys" Artemis said brushing off her question with ease. They were disturbed when that blabbering red headed idiot splashed them with water.

Artemis stood up in the water. Face flushed red with anger. "Ugh you idiot!" she yelled clenching her hands into fists. She could feel her nails digging into the palms of her hands painfully. "Oh so I've seen you've met Megan" he said smiling stupidly. 'Sometimes I wished I could just smack that smile off of his face' she thought to herself while biting off a growl. "Do you mind you idiot! I can't relax with you annoying me!" she yelled swatting him in the back of his head.
    
"Ow! What the hell!" He yelled rubbing the back of his head.

"It was for being an idiot, come on Megan" she said grabbing her arm and dragging her to the other end of the pool.

'If she wanted to be my friend then she'll have to listen to my complaining' Artemis thought to herself. 

"You know who would be a good couple?" Megan asked trying not to laugh.

"Enlighten me" she said rolling her grey eyes.

She made a heart with her hands and peered through it smiling brightly. "You and Wally!" She said with excitement laced in her voice. Artemis tried to fake vomit to show her disgust. "You're so full of passion and he's so-"

"Full of it" Artemis finished as they both laughed.

"So who do you like?" Artemis then asked raising an eyebrow.

She immediately started blushing when Artemis asked. "Conner Kent" Megan admitted looking down ashamed. "You mean super hot, no talky guy?" Artemis said as she frowned.

"Yes but he's more than just a hot guy" she said rolling her eyes.

Artemis had to admit that she used to have a crush on him. That was until she heard that he got pissed off in his English class so he broke his desk with his bare hands. He was super strong but he had some serious anger management issues. They continued to relax for the remaining time until Mr. Curry blew his whistle. She ended up giving Megan her number.

As soon as she arrived home she started texting her. Dinner was as quiet as usual so after that Artemis took a shower to get rid of the chlorine smell and then went to bed exhausted.
