Eight months later:
     Wally and Dick arrived back at school three months back with a full bill of health. Artemis moved in with Roy and Oliver two months back also. The cool air of spring and freedom filled the students noses as they eagerly waited for the school bell to ring. The beginning of Spring Break began as soon as the bell rang. RING! RING!

     All of the students cheered as they ran out of the school. They all met up in the parking lot by Dick's car and Artemis's motorcycle. "So everyone go home and pack, Wally and I will pick you guys up at Artemis's house" Dick said before kissing Zee's cheek and getting in his car. Bruce had allowed them to all go up to beach house for Spring Break. Megan and Zatanna ran home as Wally got on the back of Artemis's bike.

     "You know how embarrassing this is" he huffed wrapping his arms around her waist. "Would you like to walk home instead?" She asked revving the engine. "No" he muttered as she sped off out of the school parking lot. They hadn't actually gone out yet or anything, they were somewhat friends. "See you later" she said before speeding off towards Oliver's house.

     "So did you invite your boyfriend?" Zee asked nudging Megan with her arm. The red head blushed as they walked down the road towards her house. Zatanna had packed the day before and stayed at Megan's house overnight so she didn't have to walk all the way into the City only to walk back lugging her suitcase behind her. "Of course" the girl responded as she unlocked the door.

     She built up enough courage to ask him out and they've been a 'thing' ever since. "Hello M'gann" her Uncle greeted from the living room couch. Unlike everyone else her Uncle and Conner were the only two who used her original name from her home country. "Hey Uncle J'ohnn" she said giving him a hug. Zee waved hello as they walked up to Megan's room. It was very pink with the exception of the little green teddy bear Conner got her.

     Zee fell onto her bed and sighed with a small smile apparent on her face. "Hurry up and pack, we gotta be at Artemis's in half an hour" Zee said before checking her bag again. Sure enough Megan finished and they both ran down the stairs. "Uncle J'ohnn do you think you can drive us to Artemis's house?" She asked batting her eyes. "Okay" he said standing up and placing his hat on before they walked out of the door.

     "Oh dude, I get to drive this" Wally said in shock. He and Dick were both driving separate cars because of the amount of people coming. He saw a nice red Hummer in front of him as Dick tossed him the keys. "Just get in the car and drive we need to pick up the guys first" he said jumping in his slick black Lamborghini. Wally got in and smirked to hear the Hummers engines.

     He picked up Kaldur and his girlfriend Roquette and then Conner before he drove to Artemis's house. He parked in the driveway behind Dick's car as they all got out. "Hey Walls" Roy said with a sly smirk. "Yo what's up" Wally said giving him a high five. They walked in to see Dick sitting on the bench with a tired looking face. "Where are they?" Wally asked as Roy spoke with Kaldur and Conner.

     "I'll go check on them" Roquette said as she walked up the marble steps. "Well I got here and apparently Artemis had a break down so they're calming her down" he said as they heard the girls voices erupting upstairs. He ran up the stairs and burst into her room to see Megan and Zatanna hugging her and patting her head while Roquette kneeled in front of her. "What happened?" He asked walking closer to the distraught blonde.

     Megan and Zatanna shot him death glares when he spoke. "C-can I speak to W-Wally alone" she said in a shaky voice. "Okay honey we'll take your suitcase downstairs and what for you in the car" Roquette said as the girls stood up and walked out of the room with her suitcase. He saw beside her on her soft green bed as she wiped her tears. "What happened Arty?" He asked wrapping his arm around her.

     "I-I thought I heard my father. I got so scared for a moment, I thought he was coming to get me" she said taking a deep breath. He hugged her tightly and rubbed her back for comfort. "Artemis he can't hurt you anymore okay" he whispered into her ear. "I know I just got scared for a moment" she said hugging him tightly. "Now how about we go and jam out to some tunes while we go to the beach house?" He asked now looking her in the eyes.

     She nodded as he grabbed her hand and helped her down the stairs. "Call me if you need me to get Roy to pick you up" Oliver said hugging her quickly. "I will, thanks Ollie" she said before they walked outside. Zatanna ran up to her and gave her a bear hug. "If you want I can ride in the car with you" she said as the blonde kindly refused. "No it's okay go and ride with your boyfriend" she teased making Zee blush. Artemis sat in the front next to Wally as they began driving towards the highway.

     It was jam packed like expected as they sat in never ending traffic. "Oh my god this is going to take forever" Wally complained hitting his head on the steering wheel. "Calm down my friend we'll get there soon" Kaldur reassured as Roquette rested her head on his shoulder. Megan was giggling as she took photos of Conner using the Snapchat filters. Artemis leaned on her hand and looked out of the window lost in thought.

     Zatanna sat next to Dick jamming out to the radio as he stared at her trying not to laugh. "This traffic is going to take forever to get through" she complained. He smirked and took the next exit before following a path cutting through the forest. "Dick where are we going?" She asked looking at the green trees whizzing passed. "Off reading" he answered as the trees cleared as they sped next to a sparkling river.

     Her eyes sparkled in amazement as she stared at the beautiful scenery. "How did you know where this was?" She asked turning her attention to him. "Bruce found it a couple years ago, it's a short cut to the Beach house" he said taking his shades off and rolling down the windows. The forest ride ended as they began driving down an empty road. "Wanna see how fast this thing can go?" He asked stopping the car and looking at her.

     She bit her lip but nodded reluctantly as he revved the engine and began speeding down the road. "Whoo!" She yelled as the wind blew passed her face and into the car. They arrived at the Beach house a couple hours later and to their surprise no one was there yet. Zee pulled her phone out and leaned against the car as Dick carried the bags in. "Hey where are you guys?" She asked Artemis over the phone. "We're about an hour away, where the hell did you two go?!" She asked over the phone.

     Zee smirked as the sun began setting over the ocean. "We took a short cut. Anyways I'll see you guys soon" she said before hanging up and walking into the house. "There's only four rooms so we're gonna have to share, I mean that's if you want to" he sputtered out with reddened cheeks. "Sure" she said kissing his hot cheek before grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. "I'm going to her changed be right back" she said before walking up the wooden steps.

     He sat on the couch and turned on the TV as she walked back down wearing a white tank top and blank shorts. "What are we watching?" She asked lying her head on his lap and staring at the TV. "How about a Disney movie?" He asked scrolling through the movie channel. "Oh pick that one!" She exclaimed pointing to the screen. He laughed clicking play as he ran his fingers through her long ebony hair while watching the colourful movie.

     An hour later the door opened and very grumpy people trudged into the house. "I'm so tired" Megan whined leaning on Conner. "You guys have to share rooms!" Dick yelled from the living room. They all shrugged and walked off while Artemis and Wally stood there awkwardly. "So um I can sleep on the floor if you want-" "No it's fine sharing the bed won't be so bad" she said with a tired smile before dragging her suitcase up the stairs.

     He watched her before shaking his head and walking into the living room. Zatanna was sound asleep on Dick's lap as he played with her hair. "Dude what were you thinking making Artemis and I share a room!" He whisper yelled to his friend. "You two obviously like each other so it wouldn't matter anyways" he said shrugging as he turned the TV off and hoisted Zatanna onto his back.

     "Goodnight Wally" he said carrying Zatanna on his back up the stairs. The red head let a frustrated sigh out before walking up the stairs and towards his room. Opening the door he walked in to see Artemis standing there blushing as she covered her arms over her chest. "Oh my god I am so sorry" he said backing up and hitting the dresser as a bunch of towels fell on his head. She giggled before turning around and slipping on a green tank top.

     When he removed the towels from in front of his face he was greeted with her steel grey eyes. "Are you going to take my hand or just sit there" she said dryly holding her hand out to him. He took it as she helped him up. "I am so sorry about before I didn't mean to walk in like that" he said looking at his feet as his cheeks turned bright red. "It's okay I should've locked the door in the first place" she said blushing herself.

     She sat down on the bed before taking her hair out of it's usual ponytail. He stared at her for a few seconds before shaking his head. It was her turn to be flustered as he took his shirt off and put on a pair of red track pants. He sat on the bed awkwardly until she sat up glaring at him. "Just lie down you're making this more awkward than it needs to be" she huffed before lying back down with her back towards him.

     He laid down facing her back as her hair covered most of it. He stared at her back in the dark before hearing her voice. "Please don't leave me" her quiet voice said as he sat up and turned the lamp on. She was asleep but there were tears streaming down her cheeks, she was having a nightmare. "Wally" she mumbled as she held onto her pillow tightly. His eyes softened when he saw her a scared.

     "Hey Arty it's okay" he said wiping her tears. He turned the light out and laid back down pulling the sleeping blonde to his chest. "Hey it's okay" he whispered into her ear. Her nightmare eventually faded away leaving him to sleep peacefully. Her eyes fluttered open and she felt oddly warm. She tried moving only to feel something holding onto her tightly. Looking down she saw an arm wrapped around her waist. "What did I do last night?" She whispered to herself.
