Chapter 4:
Hello humans.
After speaking to my friend, Raver, last night I thought of something. Why not hold a competition where everyone creates a superhero (girl or boy your choice. Need some more girls though but males are welcomed.)
Basically, everyone creates a superhero, sends the name, background, personality, looks, powers, etc to me, via messages or on a comment. I will pick the winner and whoever wins, I'll put their superhero into this book (or villain if you want) and I'll give you credit.
Just an idea, if you wanna join, feel free.
But please note: If you do enter, your superhero/villain has to have a certain power trait that makes up who they are.
Chapter 4:
Robin's P.O.V
I had just filled my motorcycle's gas tank and was on my way to the nearest city. Nightraid had helped me incredibly and even gave me a few things to help me find who I'm looking for. For starters, a small unhackable phone with all the details I would need.
The first person I was going to see would be the person named Excalibur. He would bring up my Arsenal quickly and Nightraid believed he would make a great friend. Whatever the hell that meant. I honestly don't understand her. One minute shes strangling me, the next shes...
"There's something really important I have to tell you..."
I shook my head, clearing the thought from my head. That can wait until another time. I wonder how long Nightraid had been planning that project though...
I had to find Excalibur somehow...
~Le time skip because I have NO idea what the hell I'm doing~
I perched on the top of a rooftop, looking down at the vast city beneath me. My hair and cape rustled in the wind. It was calm. Quiet... That alone had me on full alert. When you live in a city of insane lunatics, things being quiet tend to mean something bad was about to happened.
I tried to tell myself it was quiet because I wasn't in Gotham, but my instincts said otherwise.
To be honest, I should be used to the silence since I always have to be quiet when I'm with Batman or because when I'm with the team, we use the mind-link so things stay quiet. But now?
There's nothing louder then the silence.
I jumped from my spot and grappled down to a nearby alley, spotting a drug deal. I silently creeped through the shadows and watched, wanting to be sure. However, before anything was even said, another voice suddenly echoed through the alley.
"I coulda swore I told you guys to stop with the drugs." A boy's voice rang out. The thugs instantly froze.
"Cr-crap... Is that who I think it is?" The dealer asked.
"Yea-yeah... Its him..." The other one stuttered, searching his surroundings. I grinned sinisterly and sunk into the shadows more, not allowing myself to be seen.
"Isn't it always me? Last time I saw you guys, I beat you up and left you with a warning which you clearly didn't listen to. This time, I'm beating you up and sending you to prison. Shoulda listened..." The voice laughed before I noticed a shadow ran through the darkness. This will be interesting...
I blinked. What? There was a sudden sword in the dealer's shirt, not actually touching the skin but still pinning him to the wall by his shoulder. When did...
There was a sound of swords being drawn and a small light. I blinked again. Huh? A sword suddenly flew from where I saw the light emitting.
"He has honed his skills to the point where he can use swords even without coming close to killing or drawing blood. Either the swords he uses are blunt and the guns have darts, then he just has really good self-control. He can instantly switch out his weapons. People believe its a transportation method because of how one sword will disappear and another will take its place."
So that's what that light was... I stared intently at the sword pinning the dealer to the wall. It definitely wasn't blunt. If anything, it looked like it had been sharpened and cleaned daily. So, good aim and self-control. Got it.
"No, wait! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!" The man shouted as he was pinned to the wall.
"I gave you a chance last time to stop. Did you?"
"Well, n-no..."
"Exactly. And here we are. With you about to go to prison."
~~~
I remained in my spot in the shadows, mentally trying to go through Excalibur's skills. The transportation method was most likely right, however... It was also most likely he stored his swords in his own special pocket dimension. Could he transport because of this? Or was it just his swords?
Then I noticed Excalibur was gone. I jumped up from my spot. Don't tell me-
Someone landed behind me. Crap... I went to turn around, but someone grabbed my wrist and pinned it behind my back as a sword slithered in front of my neck. I didn't dare move, knowing I could easily slit my own throat.
Although it would be a good way to end all this pain...
I erased the thought immediately. If I die, then practically the whole world could be conquered by the league and the villains.
I can't afford to die yet...
"And you are?" Excalibur asked. A nervous grin settled on my face, my eyes trying to see Excalibur despite him being behind me.
"I'm... A passerby?" I lied unsurely. Great. That sounded like a complete lie even to myself.
"Sure you are. Now, who are you really?" He asked again. I sighed. I suppose there was no point in hiding it. I did need his help and I suppose I might as well tell him who I actually am.
"My name is Robin, protege of Batman. Excalibur, I need your help." I stated.
