019 - make mama proud.
ᴍᴀᴋᴇ ᴍᴀᴍᴀ ᴘʀᴏᴜᴅ
Emori and Ash weakly giggled as they slowly blinked, staring at the plain ceiling which looked like colorful flowers caving in on them.
"Hey, what if...we quietly walk down the stairs without falling...and get ice cream--" Emori mumbled, before they both broke into hard laughter
Yeah, they're high as fuck.
"...Seriously," she slowly sat up as her head swayed like a rag doll, "What's something...i don't know— we can do with this..." her eyes individually blinked
If Ash was being honest, he'd say a wet hot make out sesh would hit the spot.
"Shit, i don't know--"
"Cold shower in our clothes!" she interrupted, stumbling as she hopped off the bed, "Cmon!" she said as she tried to run in a straight line to her bathroom door.
"One, two, three" they impatiently counted in unison, as they both pulled open the faucet fully to the left where--
"Ahhh! Shit shit shit" Mori squealed as Ash tightly shut his eyes of the cold water ran down their chests, before the both of them broke into childish giggles.
They tried to push each other closer to the running water, with Emori avoiding as their clothes grew darker and heavier.
Ash pushed his palm on Emori's forehead, forcing her to surrender into the icy cold water as she--
"ASH YOU BITCH!" she squealed, her yelling echoing from downstairs as Zi and Oscar gave each other the 'what the actual fuck' look
"I don't even wanna know" Zi commented, shaking his head as he slowly put his glasses on
Emori collected the cold water to her mouth, till it got full enough to--
"What the fuck!" Ash slowly yelled as she spat the mouth-water onto his chest, running it down to his white wife-beaters.
She giggled as her eyes remained shut, as her light pink hair darkened to a light red. It soon grew quiet as the two felt another rush of the drug.
"...I'm...Sooo faded" Emori mumbled as she slowly giggled, her green eyes staring up into Ash's brown eyes, her vision blurring in and out as she played with her hair, which now felt like the lightest of clouds
Ash didn't need the drugs to see this, but to him Emori looked like a fucking goddess, as she slowly danced to imaginary music, it wasn't easy to dismiss the many thoughts he had in his head — the very...passionate ones.
But they all faded away as Emori pulled him for a wet hug, he might as well have needed one.
"...It's cold" Emori mumbled before tightly hugging her bag, much tighter. They were act the state where their minds couldn't think to add heat on the faucet, this was their only option.
"Yeah...Let me-- I'll...I'll forever protect you because...that's wassup" Ash mumbled as Emori weakly chuckled, "What?" his oblivion was clear as day
"...Nothing" she dismissed, before he continued in his promise as he told her:
"Im being for real right now, I pledge to...to protect you from--"
"From your drug dealing shit? Hm" she chuckled as Ash lightly scoffed
"...That too" he nodded as Emori rubbed her face with her palms, "anything you need, Mor" she lightly scoffed as she squeezed:
"Mama ain't raise no fucking bitch"
Damn right.
Seven year old Emori's eyebrows furrowed as she peered at the scrawny looking little boy by the name of Thomas Roberts, who laughed as he held the broken lunchbox belonging to her best friend Navara Moriss, who sobbed next to her in grief of her grilled sandwich in his dirty mouth.
At that, Emori's fists curled closed, before she stormed to the boy, in the middle of the playground, muffling the words—
"Drown in hot piss, fuck face!" Emori yelled to him, giving him a backhanded smack, jumping on him as he fell and held his face, pulling his hair as he tearfully apologized.
She sat peacefully outside the principal's office, with a job well done. Patiently waiting as her mother proudly strut through the school halls on her way to defend her daughter.
Or the time she--
Bang!
The twelve year old stuck the boy's head onto his locker, her hands gripping his greasy hair as she pulled and pushed, back to the locker. Everyone was watching, including Maddy, who actually inspired this locker-head move a week prior.
"Dont ever touch me with your musty ass hands again! I'll chop that microdick right off your--"
Emori proudly ambled out of the principals office, seeing the boy she had just hit against a locker, wrapped with bandages on his head. The only right thing to do was to flip him the fuck off, she was suspended anyways. And her mother, proudly waited out on the school parking lot.
Yeah...no bitchery in sight.
Emori laid flat on her bed, consumed by her puffy duvet that hugged her tightly in her deep deep slumber. Her curtains had fooled her into thinking it was still nighttime. Here was the problem: she snoozed her phone alarm for about four times
But what Emori didn't know was that this was not the day to run late to school, especially not for mister basketball player over here
"Emori FUCKING LEROY what is your ass still doing in bed when we gotta leave in half and hour?" Oscar stormed into her bedroom, his sister jumping up and out of bed, stumbling eyes closed to the bathroom as she tried to look awake
[Papi's home by Drake playing on the speakers]
"(I was a child trying to be a man)"
"Why are you yelling at me? It's just school" she slowly whined as she stumbled over the bathroom mat, quickly grabbing her toothbrush and paste to brush her teeth
"I apologize for my absence, I know I left you without a name to drop"
"Todays the day, Mori!"
"Don't worry"
"It's today?" She muffledly whined
"Daddy's home"
"It's fuck'n today! Wooh!" Oscar let out his obnoxious man cheers, Emori aggressively rolling her eyes as she groaned at the whooping she continued to hear for the rest of her rushed getting-ready-for-school routine
"Turn me up (Mario)"
She rushed out of the house, barefoot, wet hair, a bagel in her mouth and two bags: one with books, one with hair products, shoes and makeup.
She pushed her arm into the crochet crop with a black tank underneath, with her blue star patched cargos to match her black and white bapestas.
Game days always started this way.
The running around the house trying to find your other shoe; the in-between karaoke breaks during the three bites of Zi's breakfast; and the choking smell of her brother's cologne lingering through the house. But it was great
"I'm standing at the top, that's how I know you never seen the top"
"Aye! get the fuck out the house, star player!" Zi yelled as he continued to hoot at the boy, chuckling as the siblings complained about his hopeless attempt at mimicking the beats of one of their famous war-cries.
"Hear the talks when I walk by like you know it's over when we drop"
The car ride was nothing but her uncle, older brother, and his bestfriend playing the whole Certified Lover Boy album as they got in the gaming spirit, which proceeded to be their man cheers and adrenaline.
"LETS FUCKING GO BOYS"
"TODAYS THE FUCKEN DAY"
Was all Emori would hear every other second. But hey, its pretty fun blasting music in the car, and have you escorted into the school like you're royalty as they wait for your brother and the team to do their war cries in the full hallways.
But she loved it, seeing how happy Oscar was as they marched to the changing rooms; despite the game only being afterschool. But time passed like the wind, so she understood their hurry.
"LETS GO LETS GO --"
"LETS GO LETS GO"
"Alright my little star player, when you get out there onto the court...what do you do?" Sadé knelt down to the height of 11 year old Oscar, who's passion for basketball was visible all over his face; he jumped around roaring and hissing as Emori laughed
"I show them what Oscar FUCKING Leroy is MADE OF" his little voice yelled as he frowned, his mother stretching out her palm for them to do their signature game-handshake, involving five passionate hits to each others palms
And into the golden court they went.
At last, Uncle Zi, Seb, Emori and Maddy ambled into the lamenated golden wood of East Highland's basketball court. Greeted by the million mounted lights in the high ceiling, hearing muffled conversation as they looked for their reserved seats in the front row.
There they were surprised to see--
"Yo, Fez! Ash! The fuck are you doing here?!" Maddy smiled as she opened her arms to hug Fezco, as Emori walked to sit with Ashtray.
It was that moment where she realized how much she'd forgotten about last night, after the high cold shower. She prayed to God that she didn't do anything stupid, other than that of course.
All she needed to let him know she was surprised to see him actually show up, was a little smirk with a few eyebrow raises. He looked her dead in the eye as she showed him the face, dunking her hand into the fresh popcorn box he held, stuffing it in her mouth.
Right before they could say anything to each other--
"Make some noisee East Highland!" echoed as sounds of the squeaking floor grew louder. The team was finally ready to play. Everyone cheered and whooped as they performed their surprisingly impressive war cry anthem which sounded more intimidating from the deep voices loudly echoing around the large room.
Emori smiled from ear to ear as she saw her brother call the shots for their game strategies, lifting her phone to film him as a proud mother would, as their mother would, if she were here.
As the game was about to start, her eyes slightly widened as she saw her brother approaching the audience.
He dabbed up his best friend, Fez, Ash, then Maddy. But as he got to his sister and uncle, she held his hand with Zi's as she could see his scruches on his shorts from anxiety. She pulled him in so the three hit foreheads, sharing their moment of silence as he kneeled.
Emori then whispered to him, "Make my mama proud, big head, okay?" as Oscar and Zi chuckled, before their special handshake, with Emori chuckling as her brother jokingly jumped up and down, skipping to the rest of the team as they made their quick motivational speeches.
As Oscar dribbled to shoot the last winning score within the last 7 seconds of the game, everyone was at the edge of their seats, including Ash.
In fact, it was the first time he was okay with Emori holding his hand as tight as a mother in labour, he gets it.
And when her brother went in for the dunk, with the hoop almost falling off, the whole crowd cheered. Feeling like slow motion as Emori jumped up and down, Ash smiling at her joy as he endured her tight grip she maintained on his hand. Everyone hugged each other as the team grouped to lift Oscar into the air. Behind the disappointed claps of the losing team, and the cheers of the winning team, thunderous footsteps filled the court.
Then, the Leroy siblings ran to each other, Oscar pulling his younger sister for the tightest and sweatiest hug ever, as Emori giggled to get past the stench, the stench of victory.
After she finally escaped, with Zi saving her with his hug as he commented on his nephews state, they giggled in the loud room. Emori felt nervous to look back to the crowd as she was well aware that Ash stared right at her.
Why was she nervous? Why couldn't she take the stare from across the room and stop being a little bitch? What's so special about Ashtray staring at you like he was fucking starstruck? she thought to herself.
So she glared back to him, with a smile peaking through, before turning away as her brother grabbed her elbow to accompany him in receiving the shiny gold trophy, mostly to watch him kiss it.
The score on the leaderboard shone 81 - 70, which is pretty embarrassing for the other team. Travelling all the way to another school just to lose, is very embarrassing.
But if your dumbass didn't get it already, East Highlands Basketball team fucking won, so you know what time it is...
Party time.
