Emori fiddled on the rotating chair as she cut bell peppers on the counter. It was finally her turn to share her encounters and activities of her eventful week.
"...So you encouraged the fighting?" Zi asked as he chuckled while frying homemade sausages
"Dude is literally a racist and an asshole, who says a lot for what he goes back to see in the mirror-- who wouldn't wanna jump his ass?" Emori spat with aggression
Of course, Camille-- who heard the girl complain over the FaceTime-- disagreed. She always sees the perspective of the other person, which Emori found totally pointless and irrelevant and would always cut to the chase whenever it was needed.
"--if you're gonna talk shit-- at least don't look like shit itself-- c'mon" she continued as everyone laughed at the ridiculousness, even Ash, who sat next to her and helped cut red onions
"Mm-hmm-- so how did you blow the school up then?" Oscar teased, making everyone widen their eyes and wait for an explanation
Emori slowly nodded as she pursed her lips, her emerald eyes peering at her brother's big brown eyes. She was deciding whether to rat him out on vandalizing school property or leave it for another day.
She chose to leave it for another day.
"Anywho-- We were wrapping up this project. And these dumbasses Kai and Weed, we're behind us trying to light up cigarettes" she enthusiastically told, with everyone invested. Zi silently laughed at the nicknames they gave each other
"Then bro goes 'Yo Pink Friday' then BOOM" she imitated the explosion after deepening her voice to imitate the boy
Everyone wondered how she was still in one piece after all the impact that quite literally removed her from the high stool.
"The fire was stubborn as shit and we had evacuating to attend to. So Syd put it out...and we so rightly left the room like shit didn't happen" she told the group, who stared at her in disbelief and trying not to laugh
"...How the fuck did y'all not die?" Ash broke the confused silence, saying what everyone didn't
"Shit-- im a gangsta though, right?" she said, Ash's eyes lifting up as he smirked and shook his head, "Also Gia Bennett was at detention with me" she brushed, as her uncle pulled the two chopping boards in, furrowing his eyebrows
"You nearly blow up the school, AND ALL YOU GET...IS FUCKING DETENTION?"
The previous night, after Ash and Emori's call with Camille and their binge watching of movies, Ash accidentally slept on Emori's bed, again.
Before Emori fell asleep, she looked to her left to find Ash was long asleep. She silently giggled at the fact that half of his head was literally on the hard laptop.
She then stared for longer, grinning, appreciating how adorable he looked in his sleep.
She covered his face with the green blanket so she could quickly change into her pajamas.
She smiled at him as she threw a bigger blanket on the two of them. It was a great feeling that someone other than herself was warming the bed, and completely ignored the fact that her uncle wouldn't condone any of it.
But to her slumber surprise, her uncle walked in, and gave them both a smek on the forehead, then left her lilac lighted room.
"Alright, Seb, 'Scar: set the table up. Emori and Ash, fix how shit they do it" Zi ordered , the two boys surprisedly looking up at the man as he opened one of the pots to the most amazing smells known to man.
It made the siblings smile to see how excited Seb, Ash and Fez were to dig into the delicious food that they have the privilege of enjoying on a daily.
Not only was breakfast undeniably delicious and absolutely evil of the Leroy's not to invite me, but they had a great ass Sunday.
They even binge watched half of the Marvel movies together during lunch.
Zi was always known for changing your life through a meal. He loves to cook and is— thank God— great at it.
After school, Emori visited Fez and Ash at the store. She hung out with Rue who also visited, since the drug dealers— plus Faye, were busy attending to customers.
The two drank the shared can of Coca-Cola — since Ash was sparing no expense— as they sat on the edge of the rooftop while catching up on each other's lives. Dangling their feet in the harsh wind that constantly blew their curls in their already annoyed faces.
The more Rue talked, the more Emori realized that she has no idea that Gia had detention this week, and frankly, she didn't have the energy to let her know.
But other than the annoying amount of times Rue spoke about Jewel, it was nice to hear how in love she was.
"Yo, Pink Friday and the crackhead: get y'all's asses down here" a familiar based voice called as they leaned down to see—
"Sup, Ash. How are you on this fine afternoon?" Rue passive aggressively greeted, waiting for a response.
All she got was a middle finger in the air as he squinted, as the both of them accepted defeat and nodded as they shuffled to the lower roof.
As she fixed the position of her jean cargos while reading product ingredients, a familiar looking car pulled up to the gas station. Em peered outside, weakly scoffing as she saw--
"Seb? You can drive?" she teased, dramatically putting her hands on her hips as she saw the brunette boy.
"Since I was 13, 'Mor— yes, I can drive" the boys voice grew clearer as he awkwardly stomped into the store
"He ain't another regular customer?" Fez asked as the four watched the boy restlessly read off the fridge isle.
"He lives in the Residential side of town-- no he's not" Em told the trio
"Hey! I was visiting your brother. Also your...uncle wanted some booze" Seb loudly annouced, still staring at the pack's of bottles and cans
"Bullshit-- Zi barely drinks" she chuckled as she crossed her arms
"...Caught me" Seb said, before chuckling with his serial killer sounding laugh
"Oh my God." Emori scoffed and chuckled
The boy ran his fingers through his fluffy brown hair as he turned around to the four. He awkwardly waved at them. Them-- except Ash-- waving back, before he looked at Emori's grey vintage New York crewneck.
"Cool sweater" he flatly complimented, before attempting to exceed the human limit of carrying heavy booze out of the fridges, Emori giving a quick smile at him
The four watched him pant and grunt and struggle to the till, waiting for some context as they noticed his best friends sister was just as confused as them.
"You guys gonna help me out or not?" He tiredly whined, nearly breaking a glass
"The fuck you buying all that shit for?" Ash asked as he furrowed his eyebrows
"Gotta stock up for the party, or did Oscar not tell you?" he smiled as he told them, putting everything down to awkwardly scratch his head.
They all gave the boy their own versions of the 'what the fuck and why the fuck?' faces as they heard the news.
They were obviously curious on the whereabouts and shit, but waited patiently for the chatty teen to dish it all out.
"Wh— The After party, Duh" he mockingly updated them as he payed for the booze
"Ohh" all five quietly and flatly expressed, knowing damn well they still didn't have a clue on what after party this was for.
So apparently the 'After Party' was celebration for the basketball team winning a game; they hadn't even played yet, it was a few days away. But they all knew that that party was going to happen either way.
The five comfortably sat on the embroidered couches of Fez's grandma's house.
They were either silently watching tv, or deep into the rabbit hole of social media.
Faye was the only one smoking, high as shit as she laughed to herself and the stupid tv show playing.
Besides the tv audio and Faye giggling, it was dead silent. Only until--
"--So we aren't gonna talk about the fact that Seb just bought-- like-- a hundred gallons of alcohol?" Rue blurted out as she dramatically squinted her eyes
Ash turned his head to her, with an unimpressed facial expression, before looking back to the tv.
"Uh-- What?" She stammered as she now saw Emori suspiciously smirk at her, shaking her head as her and Ash weakly chuckled at her
"So you can just...get high and overdose?--"
"--Hey! I...left...that behind me" Rue gradually decreased her voice, "Like you don't smoke? You're all hypocrites, especially Fez" she waved her hand around while readjusting the already weird position she sat in, Fez turning to look at her, before looking at Emori and Ash as he chuckled
"Did we overdose and traumatize their siblings?" Emori lifted her shoulders, hearing the brothers quietly chuckle as Rue stammered to find a comeback
"Weren't you at rehab-- like-- last week?" Ash asked calmly, before chuckling at Emori's giggling
"You guys have...zero respect for me"
Its mostly true. I don't think I've earned their genuine respect-- mostly because they see me as the crackhead older sister who's a terrible role model that allows them to do illegal shit on my watch.
