"feels like anything could happen"

Ash decided to stay with Emori for the night, and not only because Fez nor Oscar weren't about to drop his ass home. He didn't need to be there, but he was.

It broke his heart to see her spirit crushed, and he was in no knowledge to help lift them, neither were the other men in the house.

"How's Cam Sandwich doing?" Ash warmly asked, seeing the girl's face light up as he uttered the question.

"I knew that nickname would stick" she said, under her voice.

Ash wasn't the overly social type, no one would ever even think of describing him that way-- he's terrifying.

But it was fortunate that Emori made sure he was familiar, or close with people she found important-- other than him.

He was happy when Emori was— most times. And would do almost anything to see her joy make her green eyes smile.

He knew that Camille would be able to lift her downhearted spirit.

He also— thank God— enjoyed the conversations they shared. I guess Camille appeared balanced and more stable, which was, in a way, a method of him keeping from going completely insane.

He knew Emori wasn't as stable as she puts herself out to be. He's seen the signs.

"Aw!-- Its my favorite duo! remembering to call me after-- what?-- a year?" Camille's euphonious voice echoed in the girl's warm room.

"She misses us" Ash jokingly told as he turned to Emori, the two chuckling, then looking back at the MacBook to see the young adult.

"You miss us, so bad" the pink haired girl creaked a smile, throwing a green throw blanket on them and shuffling closer to the tatted boy.

The trio talked and laughed and joked and sulked, the joked and laughed and talked, catching up on each others busy lives.

Ash and 'Mori bumped they're elbows as they noticed things on the screen as her older cousin gave a quick house tour.

The most shocking one was a deep voice echoing from out the frame. The duo smirked at each other, Ash poking his cheek with his tongue as they knew they weren't supposed to hear that— not yet.

The call they had made them realise how much things have changed. How Camille has improved from her shitty childhood, that they all sadly had to witness...

They watched in awe of how much of a good impact their uncle had on them. It was never easy.

Ziar was nothing like his siblings. Unlike them, he focused on school, barely getting into serious trouble. He obeyed the rules and shit, and moved up the world; in his architecture business.

( we see 18 year old Zi walking into his new apartment, before receiving a wedding invite from his sister )

[find a way - duckwrth fading in]

But the more you move up, the more people depend on you. Especially when it comes to family.

( We see Zayn give 5 year old Camille a smek on the cheek, before driving off and leaving her with young Zi on the porch )

"Oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh"

He was no stranger to raising kids that weren't biologically his.

"We gon' have to find a way (way)"

( We see Zi and 9 year old Camille laughing as they baked a cake together )

But he loves it, and is great at it.

"We gon' have to find a way (way)"

( We see Zi playing basketball with 5 year old Oscar, while 10 year old Camille and 3 year old Emori watch as they sip on milkshake )

( As the years go on, we see Zi helping 11 year old Camille with homework )

( We see him teaching 6 year old Oscar how to play the piano)

( We see him dancing with 4 year old Emori and therefore planting her passion for dance )

"Oh, oh, oh-oh-oh-oh"

He basically raised the three of them.

"Feels like anything could happen"

"ATTACK!!" Oscar's baby voice yelled before pulling the trigger of a toy water gun, spraying his older cousin on her pink shorts.

"OSCAR-- YOURE GETTING MY BOOK WET" 10 year old Camille complained as she squint her eyes and giggled.

"Adding up all of the facts and"

"—I NEED BACKUP I NEED BACKUP" Emori's high pitched voice exclaimed over Oscar's green walkie-talkie.

As anticipating silence followed, Camille and Oscar soon heard laughing screams coming from inside the house. And then...SLAM

The kitchen floor was flooded with pool water mixed with grass and mud, with Zi and Emori laughing as they stayed lying on the floor, too weak to stand back up.

"Moving only to inspire   You preach, I preach to the choir" song echoes away

They all had different versions of a shitty upbringing from their parents, especially Camille.

Although her cousins were raised by their parents to literally having the gun skills of a highly trained assassin by the ripe age of seven— her parents were barely around.

Her father, Zi's older brother, was a lost cause.
Zayn Jones: the popular one, epitome of rebellious and mostly an asshole, but that was ofcourse 'cancelled out' by his charm and good looks.

( we see Zayn cockily dabbing everyone up in the school halls )

He was no stranger to getting around. He also had his fair share of relationships.

( We see Zayn eyeing a girl in his class, then whispering something inaudible, before the both of them ask to be excused to the 'bathroom' )

But his last one, changed him. He became a drunkard after she died, giving birth to Camille.

No one could wrap their heads around his dispair because everyone saw it as another bitch he fucked.

Only he knows who Camille's mother was, but he never talked about it.
She always blamed herself for her mothers death and fathers heartbreak due to it.

So to keep her fathers favor and somehow keep him around in her life, she would work her ass of in anything and everything she did: school, ballet, how she presented herself.

Just to impress her father in hopes of motivating him to stay. It didn't work, and she never understood why.

( we see 12 year old Camille losing focus at her ballet recital after watching her dad leave the auditorium with a beer and woman in his hands )

She tried everything to get his attention, all until her late teens where she finally found her worth, learning the harsh truth and realising that he will never notice his daughters brilliance, not ever.

He always wanted her to 'do better next time' and that it 'wasn't good enough', never being able to show genuine happiness for her.

( we see 16 year old camille stand awkwardly on the otherside of the counter, sliding her straight A report card to her father. we see him look up, then quickly nod. she hasnt been this relieved ever )

The only thing that paid off to her pointless attempts to impress her father, was that she grew into a skilful and independent strong young woman.

( we see Camille grown and thriving in her fashion design small business, hugging her uncle tightly in the middle of a box-filled store )

She's lucky to have had people like Ziar in her life, to help heal the deeply cut scars. As well as Emori and Oscar; who were like siblings to her.

( We see 14 year old Emori and 22 year old Camille inaudibly singing and dancing together in the living room, while Oscar nags them to quiet down from the basketball match he watched )

To Camille, Emori was the crazy younger sister that will literally go to war for you.

Like the time her and Maddy jumped a girl at the pageant— where they met.

Without Emori, she wouldnt be as bold and assertive as she is today, she gets that from her.

She always loved Emori's passion for dance, whether it was modern, hip hop or ballet, she loved coaching her when she still stayed at Zi's.

No, they haven't grown apart, they're literally engraved into each others lives- mostly through trauma bonding.

What Camille hopes she can do, is confront her father about the abuse, and tell him that she never needed him and his harsh actions.

She plans to do so. She will, only when shes ready. But she'll never know...

"...Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh" songs a acapella fades in, before fading out again

Ash was overjoyed to see the pink haired girl be back to her full and energetic self. In the now lilac litted room, the two huddled up in the green fluffy blanket to rewatch Top Boy and Money Heist.

They decided to let Fez come over to stay for the night, since Oscar saw that Emori wouldn't let Ash leave so suddenly.

It was this time that they were finally present in the moment, not having substances to blur or reveal deeper feelings.

Emori almost even forgot that she would have to practice for an upcoming dance competition. But she wasn't going to say anything; or everyone wouldn't leave her alone about it. Or because Ash's leg the rested on her legs that literally paralyzed her. But pins and needles are temporary, and having her boy best friend be this cosy was for the win.
