Willow's POV
Earlier this morning, my mum said I needed come home because she had a surprise for me.

It was a Saturday and I didn't have a shift today, so I agreed.

At first, I thought my parents had gotten me a car or something but as soon as I stepped into the house a tall slender body jumped on mine.

"Hey bitch!!!" My eyes almost popped out of my head at the voice of my best friend.

"Wisdom?" I pulled way to take a look at her.

My eyes began stinging with tears, immediately I felt myself getting pulled back into her warm embrace.

"I missed you so much" I mumbled into her neck crying.

"I know love, I'm sorry" I hugged her tightly as she moved us to sit on the leather couch in my parents living room.

Angrily detaching myself, I glared at Wisdom.

"Why didn't you tell me anything? After the death of your dad, y'all just disappeared into thin air a month later."

Wisdom looked away sighing before she began explaining.

"When my dad died, none of us knew about the debt he had piling up. He was borrowing money from shady people and all that came to hire us in the ass after his death. My mum and I were continuously getting harassed by these loan sharks and they went as far as trying to get my mum to sell me to them so I can become a sex worker and pay for my father's debt." Damn, that's fucked up.

"But my mum wasn't having that. So, she called up her older brother who lives in Australia told him our situation and he sent some money to her. Next thing I know, we're boarding a plane to Sydney." Wisdom clicked her tongue before continuing.

My mum told me and my brother that we couldn't contact anyone or else we might get traced and I didn't want those evil people to find us. That's why I'm here now because our debt has been fully paid and I missed my bestie." I took in all the information and I felt extremely guilty because I wanted to hate Wisdom and her family for their sudden disappearance but I just couldn't.

Wisdom's mum was basically my second mother same goes for her with mine.

"How much was you guys debt?" I asked with curiosity laced in my tone.

"1.2 million dollars" My jaw dropped.

"We were able to pay it off last year. Mama, got remarried and her husband was more willing to take care of it. That man literally worships the ground my mum walks on." Wisdom said as she closed up my mouth.

"I love that for her. Aunty, deserves all the good things in this world because she's been through so much." I said expressing my happiness.

"Anyway, where is Aunty and Goodness?" I seriously wanted to see them.

"They're still in Sydney. My mum said they will be visiting by December" I felt excited.

We currently in the middle of October so two months left.

"So, they'll be here around Christmas time?" She hummed nodding her head.

I shifted closer to Wisdom holding her hands in mine.

"Gurl, you have no idea how much I missed you. I got so much stories to share and I know you got some for me too." I said suggestively wiggling my brows.

Wisdom and I burst into laughing after staring at each other for a few seconds.

I really missed this.

Baris POV
One Week Later

I don't know why my sister-in-law decided to invite herself to my date but then again, she has always been ill-mannered.

Murat's adopted little sister, Harper wanted to introduce herself to Willow in hopes of them becoming friends and I should've known that was a lie.

I don't see that happening any time soon because Harper can't keep her stupid opinions to herself.

"Wow, you're so pretty for a black girl and I love that wig." Harper said in a slightly condescending tone.

Willow hummed while sipping on her matcha latte.

Whereas Harper seemed like she was waiting for something.

It was like she wanted to get a reaction out of my angel and her plan failed miserably.

"Oh, were you expecting a thank you? Sorry, but I don't appreciate backhanded 'compliments' that's if you can call it one." Harper's facial expression morphed into an angry look.

Willow didn't give a damn as she took a bite of the powdery pastry on her plate.

No one said anything to each other as we all quietly ate.

Soon after I heard a ding from my phone, checking iMessages I saw a gif from my angel.

I had to hold back my laugh because I knew Willow only fights with words.

She knows that it only takes a few hurtful sentences, and a person will start questioning their own confidence.

"Baris, I wanna go" Harper said in a demanding tone.

"You're free to leave." My angel spoke with a nonchalant tone.

"But, we came here together" She tried to reason.

"That's right but I would like to spend the rest of the day with my girlfriend. I'm sure you can find your way back home." I saw a small smirk play on Willow's lips.

I want— no I needed to kiss her.

Standing up from the chair, Harper grabbed her purse then turned around to leave but no before sending a dirty look to me and my angel.

Willow blew Harper a small kiss telling her bye bye wiggling her fingers as she watched the furious girl leave the establishment.

"What a bitch!" She exclaimed making me laugh out loud.

"Don't mind her. She gets on my nerves too"

"You wanna get outta here?" Willow nods her head eagerly.

"Where do you wanna go?" I asked intertwining our fingers.

"An arcade?" It seemed like a fun idea so I agreed.

On our way out the Café, a familiar face stopped in front of us.

"You again?" Willow asked sounding pissed off.

"Did you miss me, babe?" Came the snarky response.
