"Elizabeth," Adam called his wife, as Mary walked into the sitting room with Martha behind her.

Mary didn't know what was about to happen, but immediately she saw the setting and tension, she knew exactly what was coming. And, for some reasons unknown to her, she was ready for whatever was coming. All she cared about, was her coming help.

Elizabeth rushed into the sitting room, adjusting her wrapper as she stood in front of her husband in respect.

"Sit down," he instructed her, while she instantly obeyed.

He didn't permit Mary or Martha to seat down, so they both stood where they were.

Since the monster wasn't around, Adam kept his voice high. He narrated everything Lucky had said to him to them. Without personal confirmation, he accused Mary that she was the one who told him, that he was sure no other person would have done such.

Martha, who was standing beside Mary, immediately gave her a hard push on her head, saying a low 'talk talk'.

They all began to rain her with abusive words, saying 'a family matter is a family matter, not public matter'.

Lucky could do nothing, all he could do was seat there and watch their ignorance.
