The Tea Party

"I'm thinking of having a tea party" Smolder says.

She sits on her bed and across her sits Ocellus, on a chair.

"Then we should definitely have one!" Ocellus says.

"I don't think I should be the one to do it, though," Smolder says.

"Oh? How so?" Ocellus asks.

"Maybe you can do it? If the other students see me being cute and silly, it would be really embarrassing," Smolder replies.

"Sure!" Ocellus says, then adds under her breath, "But I've oddly never hosted a tea party before"

Smolder perks up when Ocellus started to mumble, but she decided to let it slide. She wraps Ocellus into a tight hug.

"Thank you!" Smolder says.

"Your welcome!" Ocellus exclaims.

Ocellus opens a book at her desk. The title reads How to Plan a Tea Party.

"First, I'm going to need a perfect place to have it, and then put some tables and chairs there," Ocellus walks to her bookshelf and scans the titles. She pulls out her copy of the Ponyville Atlas. She flips open the book and takes a good 5 minutes to look at each page, studying the place.

"Here!" Ocellus exclaims to herself, pointing to a picture of the Ponyville Park on her book. She runs out her door and gathers Silverstream and Yona to her room.

"So... I'm planning a tea party," Ocellus says.

"That will be great!" Silverstream exclaims.

"Yeah, and I picked Ponyville Park to be the venue," Ocellus says, "But I need help to bring chairs and tables there"

"We'll help you!" Silverstream exclaims. Yona nods in agreement.

"Great! Then meet me at Ponyville Park at 3pm," Ocellus says. Silverstream and Yona walk out the door.

"First, I'm going to need some cookies," Ocellus says.

"What kind of cookies do you need, Ocellus?" Mrs. Cake smiles at Ocellus. The happy and sweet decorations of Sugarcube Corner welcome Ocellus, but at the same time pressuring her to choose a good cookie. A perfect cookie.

"Maybe some chocolate chip cookies," Ocellus says. Everyone loves chocolate chip cookies.

"That would be wonderful! Your cookies should be ready in 30 minutes or else it's free," Mrs. Cake winks. Ocellus giggles.

"Thank you," Ocellus says.

"Your welcome!" Mrs. Cake waves after her.

Ocellus stands in the middle of a tablecloth aisle. She picks a bright neon yellow tablecloth. She walks to the napkin aisle and picks some dark brown napkins. She then walks to the tea sets and picks out a colorful plastic tea set. Ready to start, she walks out.

Ocellus arrives at Sugarcube Corner a little later and the smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies overwhelms her.

Ocellus arrives at Ponyville Park, with Silverstream and Yona waiting for her. They enthusiastically set up the tea party.

They examine their finished work. The tablecloth looks droopy and the napkins are terribly folded. The overall color scheme is horrifying.

"This is good enough, right?" Ocellus asks.

"It looks great!" Silverstream exclaims, always optimistic and enthusiastic.

"Yeah!" Yona says, completely oblivious, but willing to support.

"Then let's call Smolder,"

"So... how is it?" Ocellus asks shyly. Smolder is looking at the tea party that Ocellus set up for her. Silverstream and Yona stand by, beaming.

Smolder fakes a smile for her friends.

"It looks great!" she exclaims as enthusiastically as she could.

"Really? I can't believe it!" Ocellus says. Smolder laughs nervously. She walks closer to the table and inspects it. There are many creases in the tablecloth. The napkins look like they are just lazily placed there. Then she looks horrifically at the chocolate chip cookies. Sure, they are excellent for milk-dunking, but not tea.

Silverstream notices Smolder's forced expression.

"Are you sure you're not hiding anything from us?" she asks, "Like, oh, I don't know... the truth?"

Smolder gives her a nervous smile then exhales.

"It looks terrible," Smolder says quickly.

"S-sorry," Ocellus says, "But maybe you can plan your own?"

"Are you kidding? Creatures will see me and it will be embarrassing.

"But you shouldn't let the opinions of others stop you from doing what you love," Silverstream says.

"You know what, Silverstream?" Smolder asks, "You always give advice during the most serious times, and you're right"

Smolder and her friends run to Sugarcube Corner. They eagerly walk through the sweetly decorated door.

"Well, hello, Smolder. You look cute today!" Pinkie Pie says from behind the counter. Mrs. Cake stands beside her.

"And, Silverstream, you look as happy as ever!" Pinkie Pie exclaims, "And, Yona, you look like you're the best at a lot of things! Like a Yak! As usual!"

"Ocellus, dear, it's nice to see you again," Mrs. Cake pipes up, "What can I get for you and your friends?"

"Two dozen cinnamon tea cookies will be great!" Smolder says.

"Tea cookies? I never knew those existed," Ocellus says.

"Then I guess you didn't read enough books on tea parties," Smolder winks. When Ocellus offered to throw the tea party, Smolder knows that she will consult a lot of books.

Ocellus smiles sheepishly, slowly and gently bowing down her head, looking at the floor.

"Two dozen cinnamon tea cookies coming right up!" Mrs. Cakes says. Smolder crosses her arms and smiles. That's one item off the checklist, not that she had one. She isn't Twilight Sparkle, after all.

Smolder stands in the middle of the tablecloth aisle along with her friends. She chooses a pastel blue tablecloth. Then she flies to the napkins.

"No offense, Ocellus, but your color scheme was terrible," Smolder says as she flies.

"I thought so..." Ocellus says as she walks beside her.

"A color that would complement pastel blue, though, is rose pink," Smolder says, picking up some rose pink napkins. Yona looks into the shopping cart, admiring the colors.

"Pretty..." Yona says.

"Then a yellow china tea set would add a really nice touch to the tea party," Smolder says, picking some of them up, too. Once they paid for the things, they prepare the tea party, but they have one stop left. The cinnamon tea cookies are waiting at Sugarcube Corner!

As the four friends walk in, the delicious smell of pastries and sweets overwhelm them.

"Well, hello, my dears," Mrs. Cake greets them, "Welcome back. I'll get your cinnamon tea cookies in a few minutes"

Mrs. Cake disapears into the kitchen. The friends anxiously wait for their cookies. Silverstream gets bored and starts looking around. Yona soon gets bored as well and follows Silverstream. Ocellus, meanwhile, tries to maintain  her patience. True, the Cakes are taking a surprisingly long time, but maybe they place extra care in the cookies. Soon enough, boredom gets the better of her      and she brings out a book. Smolder crosses her arms and waits. She will not let boredom seep through her bones, and she has practiced a lot of patience back home in the Dragon Lands. Just as she is about to follow Silverstream and Yona, who are currently meandering around the bakery, Mrs. Cake comes out of the kitchen.

"Sorry, dears, for making you wait so long," Mrs. Cake apologises, "Forgetful old me forgot to turn on the oven"

"It's okay," Smolder tells her, though she is slightly annoyed with the delay. Deep deep deep down.

"Well, here are your cookies," Mrs. Cake says, offering them a cookie box full of cinnamon  tea cookies.

"Thank you," Smolder gratefully takes it and the frien ds xcitedly   rush out of Sugarcube Corner.

It looks better than the one a while ago. Smolder sewed on some frills to add a new level of cute! to the tablecloth. She also folded the napkins into adorable little swans. The overall color scheme looks great!

"This is a great tea party, Smolder!" Ocellus exclaims.

"Yak agrees!" Yona says.

"Yeah!" Silverstream adds.

They excitedly hop into their chairs and Smolder holds the teapot.

"Would anyone like some tea?" Smolder says in her clear, high-pitched voice.

"Yak wants! Yak wants!" Yona exclaims.

"You bet!" Silverstream says.

"Please do," Ocellus says with a giggle.

"Don't forget to dump the tea cookies into your tea!" Smolder exclaims cutely, "They taste good!"

The friends attempt to do so. As Ocellus takes her first bite, her eyes light up. Pure heaven has touched her tongue.

"It is good!" Ocellus says. Yona is able to inhale half a dozen cookies in a second. Silverstream bites her cookie and places her claw to her chin. Her face eventually lights up.

"Words don't even do this justice!" she exclaims.

After some time, they hear some snickering in the distance. They turn their heads to see Geo and Clay Pot.

"Is Smolder seriously having a tea party?" Geo says, "That's so cute!"

"And, Smolder, you're so cute!" Clay pot says.

"Buzz off, buckos!" Silverstream shouts to them, "Smolder isn't afraid to be who she is. She will never let the opinions of others stop her from doing what she loves! Maybe you are the pathetic ones!"

They all stare at Silverstream, their eyes big and their mouths hanging agape. Silverstream looks around like she did something wrong.

"What? Too much?" she asks. Smolder chuckles.

"No that was perfect," she says.

I'm so sorry, dear readers! I completely forgot about this book! I just had so much stress these past few weeks! And I may be a little behind since I watch MLP from a YouTube channel, and they are busy, too. So... yeah. I'm not sure anyone reads or enjoys this anymore, anyways. Well just remember to spread the magic of friendship!
