Roman yawned as he curled up on his brother's lap. He was really tired but he didn't know why. The big people were talking and using words he didn't understand, but he heard his name once or twice.

"Remus, are you sure you're alright?" One of the people in the room asked. Roman recognized the voice vaguely but couldn't put a name to it.

"Yes, Logan, I'm alright. Virgil made sure we were safe," his big brother answered. Roman snuggled into his arms like, well, a child. Remus rocked his gently, his parents instincts kicking in.

"Re, you know that's not what he meant," Virgil murmured softly, eyeing his friend wearily. Roman looked between them, seeing some form of nonverbal language happening with their eyes.

"I'll take a nap with Roman later. Look, they important thing right now is keeping Patton away from my brother and informing Thomas about the situation. Since Roman is.. well, not himself right now, I'll have to take responsibility of his powers as well as mine. I can barely handle my own shit so taking on Romans too is going to be a bit of a struggle." Remus rambled, his words coming out like a word vomit.

Roman popped his thumb into his mouth as he hugged one of his brother's arms. He was trying to share comforting emotions with his brother They used to have a "split bond" as Remus had called it as a kid; a magic bond they formed after their split in which they were able to share emotions and thoughts. They hadn't used it in years after they went their separate ways.

Worth a try though.

Remus looked at Roman as he felt a sudden wave of calmness rush through him. He smiled softly and kissed his brother's head, tuning out everyone else as he focused on his brother. He closed his eyes, resting back against the headboard of the bed.

Both steadily fell asleep, holding onto each other as if they'd fade away if they let go.

The room went quiet as they realized Remus had fallen asleep. Virgil helped Janus move Remus so he was laying down while Logan covered the sleeping brothers with a soft blanket.

"Let's go tell Thomas what's up, we'll come back for them later.."
