Riley has noticed that things have become better since the two of them have talked. They haven't been 100% back to normal but that might be a good thing as Riley needs to learn from his mistakes so what happened doesn't happen again. Despite the relationship only being known to two people in the camp, Riley's noticed that everyone is less tense which meant that they could tell something was off with both Sam and Riley luckily for the two men they never figured out what it was.

"So, you and Sam made up huh?" Lina says as she takes a seat next to Riley. Riley rolls his eyes but nods as he looks back down at the gun that he was cleaning. "We did, I apologized and that was that." Of course, they had more to the story but Riley didn't want to share in case he spilled something that Sam didn't want to be spilled. "Thank god, both of your energies were spilling into the camp and it made everyone on edge." Riley tried to look annoyed at Lina but he knew that she was right. He sighed and finished cleaning the gun before he started to quickly put it back together. "You aren't wrong and I feel bad for it but we're back together now so..." Lina looked at Riley confused before shrugging, back when Sam just found out and when Lina came up to ask what it was about Riley shrugged her off and gave her a vague answer because he knew that if Lina knew the truth it would tell Riley how wrong he was, but he already knew that so he didn't want to add onto it.

"I know that you want me to tell you what happened but, not right now. Not yet, because it's still fresh and what happened was my fault." Riley looked to his right where Sam was drinking coffee with Palmer. "I want you to tell but I respect that you aren't. I won't pressure you, if you want to tell me you can, don't do it because you feel like you have to." Lina reached over and squeezed Riley's hand comfortingly before letting go and moving it to be on her lap. "I appreciate that maybe not right now but someday. How are things with you and Mason?" Riley changes the subject easily with a raise of his eyebrow, Lina chuckles and shakes her head fondly.

"It's going alright, he sent me a letter yesterday actually and it was very sweet." Lina smiles as she thinks about Mason. "I'm glad, I hope you get to see him soon." A moment of silence passes before Palmer calls toward Lina. "Samara, tent," Palmer said gesturing his head towards the tent that he had just come out of, Lina sighed as she got up before she sends a two-fingered salute to Riley before she walks towards the tent and disappears when the tent flaps go down.

"This seat taken?" Sam teases before taking a seat without Riley saying anything. "It was, jerk." Riley teases back rolling his eyes at Sam who smirks before knocking their shoulders together. "So, I told my Mom about being discharged fully after this," Sam spoke lowly just in case anyone was within earshot. "Wait you did? What did she say about it?" Riley turns so his whole body is looking towards Sam watching as he takes a sip of his coffee. "She is very excited, she told me that she wants me home so she can stop worrying about me. I also may have told her that you're gonna home too." Sam looks at Riley softly, Riley huffs out a laugh that sounds on the edge of watery. "I haven't told my family yet, just in case. I think surprising them would be special anyway but this way I can come to hang with your family for a little bit before I go back home." Riley explains looking at Sam to see if his face showed any hesitation about it.

"Oh that would so cool, I know that Mom would love that. Maybe we can tell them about our plan, about forever?" Sam's eyes glinted as he spoke lowly again so no one would hear. Riley let out a slight giggle before putting his hand over his mouth to hide it as he looked away from Sam. "I would like that," Riley said looking back towards Sam before pressing his lips together so he wouldn't make a fool of himself again. "I like it when you're flustered." Riley's eyes widen as Sam speaks low enough that Riley could only hear.

"Dumbasser." Riley manages to get out after a couple of seconds of being speechless from Sam's comment. Sam smirks before taking a sip of his coffee and standing up, Riley not so sneakily stares at Sam's butt as he's walking away. He places his hands on his knees as he stands up from the bench he was sitting on. He makes his way towards his shared tent and walks towards the trunk that was at the end of his bed, Riley opens it and squats down in front of it before running his fingers over the picture of his two parents before he puts that down to grab a photo of him and his sister, it was a photo that Maricela had begged them to take but it turned out to be Riley's favorite photo of the two.

He then picks up a photobooth strip that he had of Him and Sam, he smiles as he looks at the picture of them kissing. It was the last one they took because the two of them were nervous that if anyone saw it before they grabbed it, it was a perfect day in Riley's eyes. As he looked through the stuff in his trunk it proved to Riley that he made the right decision, not just for himself but for his relationships. He can't wait to wake up next to Sam with Acacia sleeping at their feet on their shared bed, he wants that, and Riley is determined to get it.
