Many years later, Ash was married to Serena, who he hated. She forced him to do all the work, and every time he asked her to do something, she would make an excuse, like "Really? I had to go to Dawn's house." Or, "No, I'm too tired." Ash was getting fed up. He was also forced to marry her because the betrayers said so. He was talking to his kids, Alex and Claire. Alex is male and Claire is female. The conversation went kind of like this:

"Alex, Claire, do you want to run away from home?"

"Yeah dad!"

"Mom's soooo mean! She forced us to do things we can't do!"

"And we can't fight, either, because we don't have any Pokémon!"

"That's why I'm going to.."

The conversation stopped abruptly when a wall started to collapse. The group started to shield each other, Ash in front, from the crumbling wall. Just when it was about to hit them, the wall stopped just as sudden as when it fell. It had a faded purple outline around it. It was thrown out the hole it made. When it did, it revealed the genetic and DNA Pokémon, Mewtwo and Mew.

"Mew? Mewtwo? What are you doing here?"
"Mew mew mewwww"
"She says, 'To break you out, of course."

At those words, Alex and Claire fainted. The couldn't believe their ears! And, unfortunately for them, Serena appeared with stars in her eyes. "Oh my Arceus, today is my lucky day! I'm going to catch Mew and Mewtwo! You guys came for me, right?"

"Silence, human. We did not come for you to catch us. We are breaking out Ash and his companions." Mewtwo said in a strict voice. "NO." Serena exclaimed, " ASH IS A LOSER!!!!! I AM A QUEEN. I WILL CATCH YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She threw pokeballs at the duo. They caught the pokeballs with their psychic powers and crushed them.

Without any unnecessary thinking, they sped towards Ash and the unconscious Alex and Claire, and both tapped the button on Ash's empty pokeballs. Mew floated her pokeball into Claire's pocket. Mewtwo did the same but into Alex's jacket pocket.
They quickly floated themselves and Ash, Alex, and Claire away to Cerulean Cave, where they were staying.
