"Thank you," Loki mumbles quietly as we walk through the quiet halls, our footsteps echoing through the large walkways becoming the only other sound filling the almost silent void.

"For saving your ass from the palace cells? No problem," I say sarcastically, partially missing my life on Midgard.

It feels odd to be back in the palace and not in my usual Asgardian attire. I feel out of place.

"Father kept your room for you, your armour resides on a stand in the closet. Just thought you would like to change into something more suited to Asgard," he says with a small genuine smile.

I give a small smile as I open his bedroom door, still as clean as ever. Not a speck of dust is seen in the room. Loki steps inside his room grabbing a book before laying on his bed.

"I will return shortly, if you step out of this room, there will be trouble, is that understood?" I ask looking at him with a stern look.

"I'll be here  when you return, I promise," he says simply, starting to read his book.

I shut the door behind me and walk towards my old room. After not being in the palace for so long I was surprised I even remember where my quarters are but one simple thing stands out from the rest. The fact Thor stands next to my door gave me a hint to where my quarters are.

"Your highness," I say with a small bow, my familiar hello to the royals except Loki who prefers I talk to him like I would anyone else I know.

"My lady (Y/N), I appreciate the risk you have taken for my brother. Though, he doesn't deserve such a kind gesture after what he did, it is still appreciated," Thor says in a kind and soft tone.

"It was my honour, my job is to serve the royal family and guard Prince Loki with my life," I say in return with a small nod, "I would have done the same thing had you of been in his position your highness."

"Anyway, I have come to inform you that father is holding a ceremony tonight, to both welcome you back and to return your ranking officially, as it had never been finalized," he says proudly.

"I will be sure that Prince Loki and I are ready for the ceremony tonight, thank you, Prince Thor," I say with a small bow and nod.

"I shall let you get on with what you were doing," he says before walking off again.
