Sky decides to take a bath to see if that would help make her relax. That is until she looks at the controls. "Shit, you need a guide for dummies just to use the controls on this thing. How hard can it be to turn on the bloody water?" Sky tries to decipher the icons on the control pad but decides that she's not smarter than the electronic control pad. 

She sadly turns from the control and heads out of the bathroom and goes to her bed instead. The two wolves whine not sure how to help her feel better. "It's not your fault I'm not smarter than an inanimate object. You wealthy people just have to complicate something as simple as drawing a bath." Sky sighs and closes her eyes. She feels one of them jump onto the bed and worried that the frame wouldn't take the weight. "If you break the bed you get to tell Kacey why."

Sky tells him absently as he lies down by her side and she starts to scratch him. Pretty soon he turns onto his back and whines until she scratches his tummy. "You like that don't you Floyd?" She then looks around to see where Lloyd disappeared to. "Hey, where's your partner in crime?"

That's when she hears the sound of the bathtub filling with water. "What in the world?"

"It's okay Sky, I wrapped a towel around me. If you come in I'll show you how to work the controls. I'm sorry that I didn't do or say anything at the pack meeting. It should have been us that told that bitch off and I don't blame you for going off on her or us. WE deserved it just as much as they did. Please don't give up on us?"

"Thank you for your apology, but it's going to take more than words Lloyd. I also thank you for changing so that I can have my bath. Afterwards, do you think you and your brother would be willing to take me to the study to find out what the results are. No offense, but I truly hope that your father isn't mine."

"So do we all, Sky. So do we all. The last things we want is for our mate to be our sister." Then he smirks.

"That's not what I meant."

"I know," and he loses the smirk. "For your sake I hope you aren't either. I would hate to think that his blood taints someone so pure and beautiful as you." 

With his words Sky blushes a deep red. "I'm not that beautiful, Lloyd. The females of your pack are all more beautiful than I am."

Lloyd snorts in derision. "Some of them, that's true, but their attitude and actions haven't gone unnoticed by us. Some of them have been reprimanded for how they treat others. They have shown just how ugly they are inside. That forever spoils what is on the outside.

"For the record, I think what you said was far over due to be said. Far too many of our pack mates have been harmed from the actions of their cheating mates. I'll talk with my brothers and find suitable punishments. We can't afford to have our people pulled from missions due to the debilitating pain caused from wandering mates."

Sky smiles but it's weak.

 "Ah, I see you don't believe me. I guess we've given you plenty of reason not to."

Then he shows her how to work the controls before leaving her to enjoy the bath in solitude. That's when she notices that he added bubble bath for her.

She smiles and makes sure that the door is locked before undressing and climbing into the tub. She sighs in pleasure as the heat covers her.

Once the water gets high enough she turns the water off and just closes her eyes and relaxes for the first time since she got to the house.

She loses all track of time and is startled awake when a voice near her ear speaks. "Are you still alive? If you still want to look at the results you should get out now. If you don't you should still get out, the bed won't drown  you." There is definite amusement in the voice.

"Lloyd, that isn't funny. I swear you took off several years from my life."

"Ohh, we wouldn't want that now would we?" He coos in her ear before nibbling at her neck.

Sky can't help but moan at how good that feels. "What are  you doing?"

"Just giving my mate some loving. If I do anything you don't like, just tell me and I'll stop. Also, feel free to do to me whatever you want."

Sky allows it to go on before sighing. "I better get out now. I don't want Kacey to go to bed before I have a chance to look over the results."

Lloyd reluctantly backs off but laughs at what she said. "Night is our busiest time for the mafia shit. He won't be going to bed for hours yet. Don't worry. Besides, he'll stop whatever he's doing to have time with you."

Sky gives him a disbelieving look and shakes her head.

Lloyd sighs and gets a towel from the warmer. Holding it up for her he says, "We have a lot to make up for. This is just as new to us as it is for you. We are trying, but we aren't perfect either."

"I understand that, but some things shouldn't need to be explained in detail."

"You're right, our father would have killed each and every bitch for what they said. We shouldn't have been willing to hear that spoken to you."

Once Sky has the towel wrapped around her Lloyd leaves so that Sky can get dressed without an audience.

By the time she finishes getting dressed she finds both of the twins in their wolf form waiting for her patiently by the door. "Oh, I get a wolf escort do I?" The two wag their tails happily at the attention she gives them as she scratches behind their ears.

Outside the door she finds Wyatt waiting. The two growl a bit at the male near their mate. "It's alright, he's my body guard. Didn't Kacey tell you?"

Her words stop the growling and Wyatt looks at her in wonder. He follows behind the others making sure to leave plenty of space between the wolves and himself.

He's close enough to hear the slander against his luna but his growl is drowned out by the growls of the two wolves.

The sudden silence that happens once the females realize that they are caught doing what they were warned to not do is deafening. "Alphas, we didn't know you were there or that the bitch would be with you." One of the females dare to say. That's all she had time to say before she finds her self on the ground with one very pissed off wolf snarling above her.

"Forgive me Alpha." The girl whimpers but the alpha doesn't let her up and she starts crying.

Lloyd changes and speaks to the girl. "You need to be apologizing to your luna. We will tolerate no more such words towards her. You and all those in the meeting were warned. Now make your apology sincere. Then once we are satisfied with that you will take yourself down to the cells and have alpha Kacey give you the lashings for your punishment."

Sky goes to speak and Lloyd holds his hand up to stop her. "No, they were warned and they failed to listen. Now they will be punished, just as you told them."

"Ok, do you think that maybe you could change back now? Not that you don't have a nice body, you know you do, but I don't like the other females to look at it."

Understanding lights in his eyes. He nods and starts turning back to his wolf form.

As he does the terrified girl manages to get out an apology sufficient to get the growling wolf off of her. She doesn't take any time to move towards the stairs the other females go with her. They might not have been heard but they have no doubt that they will be found out when they watch the security videos. 

Shortly Sky and her companions reach the study.

Wyatt knocks and ushers them all in when he's given the command to do so. He nods once to his alphas and then shuts the door behind him.

"Hello, I see my brothers are keeping you company. Are you here to look at the results?"

"Yes." 

"Then take a seat. I've already taken a look and called someone in that I think you should meet. He should be here shortly. While we wait, please take a look." Kacey gives her the envelope with the results.

She looks at it but is a bit confused. All she could understand is that there was a zero percent chance that Lawrence is her father. 

"I don't understand, who are we waiting for?"

"Well since my father isn't yours I thought you might like to meet the man that is actually your father. He's actually my second cousin once removed or something like that. Family, but not close.

"I thought you could hear about what happened if you want to know and if not, at least meet the sperm donor."

"Thank you, Kacey, yes, I guess I do. Just really nervous. My mother was very vocal about cheaters. She dumped more than one boyfriend because of his cheating on her."

"Really? She must have learned her hatred from how my father treated her and my mother. Well her at least. I don't think she thought much of my mother."

Before anything more could be said there is a knock at the door. "Come in."

Sky looks curiously at the man that enters. She really couldn't see anything of him in her at all. She looks like a carbon copy of her mother. 

"Sky, this is Devereux Legrand. He's the man that fathered you."

Devereux stops as he was about to take the seat next to Sky. He stares at Kacey in shock before turning to Sky. He pales as he realizes just who his daughter is, or rather who her mother is.

"You look just like your mother at your age. It's uncanny and a damn good thing Lawrence isn't here to see you."

"Sky here came looking for father to get some answers. He is listed as her father on the birth certificate."

Devereux shakes his head. "No, the only time Lawrence made a mistake and had a child with someone other than his mate were the twins. He made damn sure that he wouldn't get Choline pregnant."

Sky takes a deep breath and asks the questions she had all her life. "Can you tell me what happened? How did you not know that you had a daughter?"

"Lawrence was slipping by then. He was always a bit off but he'd become insane and was losing control. He had lost his mate and that always has a bad effect on us. He got mad at Choline for something stupid. It was always something little or stupid, but this time he took out his anger on her. 

"The one and only time he ever hit her that I know of. Knocked her out. Then he injected her with a sleeping agent so that she wouldn't wake up. Then he had her punished. I'm sure that my alpha here has explained to you what that means? But instead of several he had me be with her. He kept her sedated until it was positive that she was pregnant.

"Once she woke up and realized what he did she was furious. I've never seen any one so angry, but it wasn't a hot anger it was cold and icy. She packed her things and when Lawrence tried to kiss her she went off on him.

"I thought he would have her punished again, but he just turned around and left.

"The next day we all watched shocked as she brought down only a couple of suitcases. She saw Lawrence and sneered at him.

"He stopped her and tried to give her a gift. Money or more jewels I'm not sure but it didn't matter. She took it and threw it back at him. He was so shocked that it fell to the ground. Then she whispered something, I think it was that she hopes that he dies a long and painful death just like he gave to his mate.

"Then she turned from him and grabbed her suitcases and left. 

"I knew that she was pregnant, but I never knew if she kept the baby or if she had an abortion. I wouldn't have put it past her. She knew damn well what happened but she didn't. But neither did I know that my child lived or where to find you.

"To tell the truth, I'm too ashamed of my actions to claim you for my own."

"If you hadn't, my father would have had you killed or done it himself. You had no choice." Kacey tells the upset man.

"Perhaps not, but it doesn't excuse my actions for that time. Or the pain it caused my mate."

"And you want me to stay and be luna?" Sky asks more than a little incredulous.

"Thank you, Devereux that will be all." Kacey says sighing.

Devereux doesn't waste any time leaving. Once he does Floyd speaks. "On our way to your office we ran into a bunch of bitches."

"Please tell me that they weren't..." Kacey stops, sighs then says, "of course they were or you wouldn't have said anything. This day just keeps getting better and better."

He waves to Floyd, "Thanks for telling me. I found several on the security videos and have them waiting for me as well. Looks like I know what I'll be doing this night."

"This wouldn't be so bad if we took steps during the meeting. I'm very sorry, Sky. You were right. You are welcome to watch if you want, but you would likely have nightmares if you do."

"I think I'll pass. I'm about ready to fall asleep on my feet."

Kacey nods then waves her off. "Have good dreams, hopefully they won't be nightmares."

With that Sky and her two wolves leave. Kacey dismisses Wyatt for the night since Lloyd and Floyd would be staying with her.
