Tina, Richard, Rory, Lorelai, and Emily are at Friday night dinner waiting for dessert while having a causal conversation but Tina is still super bored.

"So, Rory and Tina, your grandfather and I thought it might be nice after dinner for you two to go around the house and pick out what you'd like us to leave you in our wills." getting a 'what the hell' look from Tina, cause her grandparents house is nice but it's not her style she loves color and modern but old dark and vintage is so not her.

"Take a look at that desk in my office. It's a really fine Georgian piece." suggest the girls grandfather as kind as it is the desk is ugly thinks Tina.

"Why don't I ever bring a tape recorder to these dinners?" wonders her mother cause they could start a TV show with all the weird and stupid stuff that happens here.

"Oh, well, anything you want to leave me is fine." adds Rory being the sweet girl she is where if Tina is going to be left anything it would be money not this junk.

"Nonsense. You should have what you like and what about you Tina I'm sure I have some jewelry that you might want." sparking Tina's interest again "So look around and when you see something you like stick a post-it on it."

"OK, you two have officially hit a new level of weird that even I marvel at." frowns her mother thinking what is going on with their grandparents.

"You can pick out things too, you know." smiles Emily trying to involve Lorehai back in the connverstation

"Oh, well now it's way less creepy."

"Did you hear that Richard? Apparently we're creepy." her grandmother tells their granfather

"Yes, well, live and learn." ends her grandfather just as the maid carry's a tray into the room. "Oh cool!" exclaims Rory at the sight of the pudding while Tina looks like she is going to vomit she used to love pudding but lets just say that 5 years ago it was ruined forever.

"What's that?" asks her mother but already knowing the answer while her youngest turns greener at the sight of the pudding.

"It's dessert." states her grandmother as Tina stands up feeling the need to be sick before her grandmother starts talking "Where are you going Tina sit down and eat your pudding it's to die for" not realizing that she was making her granddaughter feel sicker, as Tina walks quickly out of the room to the nearest rest room. Faintly wearing her grandmother ask her mother what is wrong with her. After finding the nearest bathroom and feeling a lot better Tina is walking around the Gilmore house and opens a door to find it filled of tablecloth samples, invitations and flowers. Walking into the room Tina picks up one of the invitation and is surprised to see her and Rory's birthday printed on them since when are they having a birthday party here.

Sitting in the car the three Gilmore's begin there journey back to Stars Hollow when there mother asks "So, how would you like two parties this year?"

"You couldn't get her to cave." frowns Rory

"Are you seriously I have to spend by birthday with a bunch of old people no thanks" semi yells Tina she was not happy with this at all.

"No, but she did agree to make the string quartet to learn "Like A Virgin and Tina you have to go I'm sorry"

"Well, you tried." answered Rory while Tina sulked in the back of the jeep.

"Sweet hearts, I promise, Saturday night we'll do it up right at home. A Stars Hollow extravaganza." getting a large smile from both girls it always was fun at a birthday party at Stars Hollow.

"So, is this party Grandma's having going to be a big deal?" wonders Tina

"Not really. The government will close that day. Flags will fly at half-mast. Barbra Streisand will give her final concert...again." jokes their mother

"Uh-huh." comes from Rory who is so not looking forward to this.

"Now, the Pope has previous plans, but he's trying to get out of them. However, Elvis and Jim Morrison are coming and they're bringing chips."

"You ask a simple question..." as Tina starts to laugh maybe it won't be that bad.

"Hey." greets Matt as he stands next to Tina's locker "So I heard that it's someone's birthday"

"It's not my birthday." answers Tina confused as to why he thought it was her birthday.

"No, but it will be." As Matt looks down at the paper in his hands "On Friday at 4:03 in the morning, Lorelai Leigh and Christina Victoria Gilmore"

"What is that?" As Tina takes the paper from his heads and seeing that it was one the invitation she saw in that room at her grandparents house that was a invite to her birthday party. Looking down the hallway Tina see's that her friends have them.

"I have to go find out about this but will you be going" questions Tina cause if anyone could make it better it would be Matt.

"Of course I wouldn't miss it for the world" waving at each other Tina makes her way down to her friends who are all eager to ask about the party and explaining that it wasn't her idea, they all seem interested in coming as Louise suggests an after party get together which Tina thinks it could be a great idea something good to look forward to.

Walking into the diner she see her mum unzipping a garment bag and pulls out two dress

"What is that?" asks her Twin

While Tina asks "it's not a Halloween party cause Halloween is still a while away" not aware that, that is her party dress.

"Listen, you. So I'm shopping today with your grandmother and it's a whole three hours of "Who are you buying that for, Mom? Have you met Rory?, and does Tina look like a 80 year old to you and that's too long Tina doesn't want to be a nun" and then finally I talked and she listened and she wound up getting you both something that I think you're really going to like.

"Really?" a shocked Tina frowns

"Yes, really. And of course she insisted on buying us these dresses but I think I can do something with them to make them better." making the girls day instantly better to know that she is not going to look like something out of ghost busters.

"Wow. I've never seen you so cheery after spending time with Grandma." comments Rory and Tina feels the same way since when have they ever gotten along

"Well it's been a long time since we got together and didn't end up fighting. It was refreshing. It wasn't exactly fun but I didn't get that shooting pain in my eye like I usually do."

"Wow. That's great." smiles Rory losing the need to tell her mum about how her grandmother invited people she doesn't even know from school to her party, while Tina's frineds will be there so she doesn't even care.

"Yeah." as Luke brings coffee to their table.

"So I hear you're having a party Saturday."

" Yeah. Mom's famous for her blowouts." laughs Rory

"The best one was their eighth birthday."

"Oh, yeah totally, that was so good amazing even, the best in history." states Tina

"The cops shut us down."

"The cops shut down an eight year old's birthday party?" questions Luke thing what is going on in this household.

"And arrested the clown." adds Rory

"I hate clowns to this day" states Tina cause that day was scary

"I don't want to hear any more of this." as Luke walks off leaving the girls to their coffee.

In the middle of the night an eager Lorehai and sleepy Rory burst into Tina's room, sitting on each side of her bed. "Happy birthday. little girl." Lorehai tells her daughter who she can't believe is sixteen. As Tina begins to wake up from her sleep.

"Hey." a sleepy Tina mumbles and then yawning.

"I can't believe how fast you're both growing up." getting nods from the twins that just want to go back to sleep.

"Really? Feels slow." comments Rory while Tina just yawns again

"Trust me, it's fast. What do you think of your life's so far?" questions their mum

"I think it's pretty good."

"I wouldn't change it for the world" reply's Tina as she gives her mum a side hug.

"So do I look older?"

"Oh, yeah. You walk into Denny's before 5, you've got yourself a discount." before looking at Tina "And you night clubbing here you go" gaining a laugh from Tina.

"Good deal."

"So you know what I think?" asks their mum but the twins have no idea what she is on about.

"What?"

"Have you been drinking" frowns Tina

"I think you're a great, cool kids, and the best friends a girl could have and I don't know where I would be with out you two." states their mum as she hugs both girls

"Right back at ya."

"I Love you mum" reply's Tina

"And it's so hard to believe that at exactly this time many moons ago, I was lying in exactly the same position --" their mother starts as Tina grabs a pillow over her eyes trying to block out the sound.

"Oh, boy. Here we go."

"Only I had a huge, fat stomach and big fat ankles and I was swearing like a sailor --"

"La la la la la" sings Tina trying to block out the story of their birth

"On leave."

"On leave -- right! And there I was --"

"In labor." suggests Tina taking the pillow away from her face

"And while some have called it the most meaningful experience of your life's, to me it was something more akin to doing the splits on a crate of dynamite." finishes Lorehai

"I wonder if the Waltons ever did this." thinks Tina out loud

"And I was screaming and swearing and being surrounded as I was by a hundred prominent doctors, I just assumed there was an actual use for the cup of ice chips they gave me."

"There wasn't." as the girls both turn to their mother

"But pelting the nurses sure was fun." sending Tina into a laughing fit imaging her mum throwing ice chips at nurses.

"I love you, Mom."

"Same" as the Lorehai smiles at the two most important things in her life

"Shh. I'm getting to the part where he sees your head. So there I was..."

Knocking at the Gilmore house the girls are meet with the sight of what feels like a thousand servants "Jeez, Mom. Leave some servants for the rest of the neighborhood." jokes Lorehai getting a high five from Tina cause it was so true

Ignoring her daughter comment Emily greets her grandchildren "There they are -- the birthday girls." as Emily hugs them both.

"Hi Grandma." greets Rory

"Hello" answers Tina

"Wow, you really went all out, huh?" comments their mum who is already regretting even getting in the jeep.

"Well I wanted everything to be perfect. What do you think?" their grandmother smiles proudly

"I think Edith Wharton would have been proud, and busy taking notes."states their mum, while Tina looks around, it's nice if you are having 50th birthday party not a sixteenth. Tina is interrupted from her thoughts as her mother gives both her and Rory their dress  "Here, babes, go change." as the girls leave the room they hear their grandmother "Hurry!"

The party is in full swing and Tina is talking to some Chilton people that she knows and thanking them for coming when she see's her friend group. Walking up to the trio she is greeted with happy birthdays

"This party sucks' states Tina as she grabs a soda from a waiter, "I feel like it's my 50th birthday"

"Oh totally" Louise states getting a nod from Madeline

Before Paris speaks up "I saw your sister before she know no one, like at least you know most of the Chilton people here" after Paris saying that Tina looks around and finds Rory being dragged around by her grandmother to people she has no clue who.

Seeing her pleading looks Tina says goodbye to her friends and sits off to find Rory, walking though one of the room Tina see's Matt. Completely forgetting about Rory Tina goes up to him as he finishes a conversation with another Chilton student. "Hey, thanks for coming" greets Tina

" No problem how is the party so far, it looks like your having the time of your life"

Laughing Tina replies "oh yeah the time of the life"

Tina is surprised when a gift is placed in her heads "You didn't have to get me anything" 

"Of course I do it's your birthday" smiles Matt as Tina opens the gift.

Looking at the gift Tina can't believe it "how did you get this it's not meant to come out to next month" looking down at the Harry Potter chamber of secrets book in her hands before smiling up at Matt.

"my dad pulled so strings and there you go" being so wrapped up in the kindness of the gift Tina quickly kisses Matt before stepping backwards realising what she just did.

"I'm sorry, just forget that just happened" stuttered Tina while looking at Matt before she feels lips crush against hers, kissing Matt was like perfect, Tina had been kissed before but nothing was as good as this. Breaking apart Tina and Matt both smile at each other both not regretting what just happened.

"So that just happened" wondered Tina out loud while still smiling.

"Yeah it did, I have wanted to kiss you for a while I really like you Tina" replied Matt sending Tina into a wild blush before answering "I really like you too since I first saw you walk though the classroom door on my first day. The pair are interrupted by Tina's grandfather walking up to them.

"Well if it isn't Matthew Rothschild thank you so much for coming" as her grandfather and Matt shake hands "I see you have meet my lovely granddaughter Tina, I know you too go to school together" states her grandfather before Tina answers "I know him grandpa"

"Well it is wonderful that you have such great company, also Tina your grandmother is looking for you she said something about a speech" saying good bye to Matt and her grandfather while Tina makes her way around to find her grandmother. Walking into one of the rooms Tina sees her sister and grandmother finish fighting.

"Well I'm sure Tina would like to address her guests as I believe she has manners" states their grandmother grabbing Tina's hands and pulling her to the front of the room before informing the group "hello my lovely granddaughter would like to say a few words" as she guides Tina to the front

Seeing all the people watching Tina makes up her mind to just do the speech "Hello I'm Tina if you don't know it's my birthday today, I would like to thank you all for coming and sharing my sixteenth birthday with me I hope you enjoyed yourself a bit" receiving a round of applause from the crowd and a prided look from her grandparents.

Stepping down she was meet with a hug from her grandparents before walking up to her mum and sister at the back of the room. "Lovely speech" answered her mum as the girls made their may towards the front door. While Rory and their mum went to have a conversation with their grandmother Tina says a good bye giving each other a quick hug before going to find Matt. Seeing him about to leave Tina quickly walks up to him. "Leaving without saying good bye I'm offended" joked Tina placing a hand over her heart. "Don't worry I was just about to come looking for you" as he leaned in and kissed her "Is that goodbye good enough" gaining a huge grin from Tina. Seeing Rory waiting in to car Tina turns to Matt  "I should probably go see Rory but I will see you around" before waving and making her say to the car just as her mum came out of her grandparents house both climbing into the jeep as Tina begins to tell her mum and Rory about Matt and their first kiss.
