{Riley's POV}

Maya. She just left the room... I raised my hand, to indicate that I wanted to go after her.

"No, not this time Riley" My dad responded. I glared at him and tried to run for the door.

"Friar! Don't let her out" He stated. I looked at Lucas with puppy dog eyes. While he was distracted staring at me, I moved my hand to the door and bolted into the hallway. I didn't know where the blonde would be, so I checked the girls bathroom. Sniffing and quiet sobs could be heard.

"Maya, is that you?" I asked, knocking on the one locked stall.

"Go away Riley! For f-fucks sake just go" She started crying again.

"I'm coming in Maya" I said softly, crawling under the stall. I saw Maya in the corner of the stall, her face in her knees.

"Maya, why'd you do that?" I asked, sitting next to the blonde. Maya turned to look at me and sniffled.

"I- I'm afraid to loose you ok? Your Dad- he hates me! I know it!" She ranted while tears steamed down her face.

"You won't loose me Peaches, I promise. I won't let him take you away from me" I said honestly.

"You're lying! You h-hate me just like your Dad! He probably sent you to build up my hope and knock it down! You shouldn't have pity on me Riley, I'm not good enough for you" She said angrily.

"Maya thats no-"

"Yes it is Riley, and you know it!" She said. I leaned in close to her, our foreheads touching.

"Oh really?"

"Yes, really." Maya said firmly. With those words, I closed the gap between Maya and I. She slightly gasped into the kiss but ignored it.  I tangled my fingers in her soft blonde locks, as her hands traveled to my waist, wrapping her hands around it. I smiled into the kiss then pulled away, putting my forehead on Maya's.

"How was that?" I asked, mocking my brother's 'girlfriend'.

"You really do care dont you?" She asked.

"Yes Maya. Because I love you" I replied, looking into her sapphire eyes.

"I love you too Princess" She said softly. I leaned in again and lightly brushed my lips against Maya's, pulling away quickly. Maya gasped.

"Matthews! You tease" Maya giggled. I leaned my forehead on hers.

"You can't stay mad at me, you love me. Don't you?" I asked smirking. Maya pressed her lips against mine, cupping my cheeks. She pulled away because at that point, we both needed oxygen.

"I do love you, just more than you love me"

"That's impossible"
