{ Riley's POV }
Maya gave me a nervous look. I knew exactly what was coming next. "O-oh yea that...." Maya trailed off. This isn't like her. She's keeping something from me. I just know it! I gave Maya an agitated glare. "Maya." I said firmly, trying to make her explain herself. Maya twittled her thumbs, looking at the ground then back at me. "Riley, I don't want to talk about it" She responded. I sighed. She dodged it. "Maya, how come you can't trust me?" I asked, a bit hurt inside. We tell each other every thing. Maya looked at me, obviously bothered. "Im sorry but I can't" She said then ran off. I starred at her as she ran. Why is she doing this? I don't want to loose her over something like this but it's not like her to not tell me whats on her mind. I didn't do something wrong did I? Then Lucas, my boyfriend confronted me. "You alright Riley?" He asked with a concerned look on his face. I hesitate but I began spilling about what had happened. "And now Maya is avoiding me! She's keeping something from me!" I whailed. I was upset. My own best friend was keeping something from me. I know its not my business but I can't help but worry about her. Lucas looked at me and kissed me on the cheek. "It'll be ok" He said looking into my eyes. "But what if it's no-" I started but he cut me off. "Trust me" He smiled gently and headed back home.
