Naruto stopped swinging, crossing his legs on the swing. He closed his eyes. "Leave it all to me."

Chapter 8
Naruto appeared in his mindscape, looking to Kurama.

Kurama simply set down a seal in front of Naruto. "Use this."

Naruto nodded, taking the scroll into his grasp. He soon returned to reality, having memorized the scroll. He took out a paintbrush, ink, and an empty scroll. He copied the scroll. "Summoning justu-" he bit his finger, spreading a line of blood across the seal. "Mindscape!" He exclaimed. Suddenly, he and Gaara appeared in Gaara's mindscape, where Shukaku sat in what seemed like sand. The sand darted forward, wrapping itself around the two boys, hanging the two upside down by their feet. "You dare enter brats?!" Shukaku roared

Naruto leaned up, taking out a kunai from his pouch. He quickly slashes through the sand, now falling for the ground, where sand sprung up to catch him and imprison him. He began to make more hand signs. "Summon-" he suddenly got hit by Shukaku's tail, being thrown right into the sandtrap. He slowly began to sink, trying to escape. He finished his hand signs. "-ing justu! Kurama!"

Kurama appeared in the mindscape. His large yet slim figure darted forward, and into Shukaku. He and Shukaku began to brawl, Kurama soon pinning Shukaku. "Long time no see, Shu."

Shukaku snarled at him. "Looks like you've grown attached to a brat, kitty."

Kurama hit Shukaku in the face with one of his tails. "You're even more of a brat."

Meanwhile, Naruto had sunk beneath the sand. If he died in this mindscape, he died in real life. He couldn't move, and his oxygen was almost gone from his lungs.

Kurama looked around the mindscape, soon darting a tail into the sand. He searched for Naruto, soon bringing Naruto to the surface, who was passed out. "I've gotta teach him to hold his breath for longer..." He muttered, laying Naruto on his back, doing the same with Gaara after freeing Gaara. He then turned to Shukaku. "As the ninetails, I outrank you times 9. Watch yourself, we're here to talk."

Gaara crawled to Kurama's head, looking at Shukaku. He soon reached out his arms. "Mother..." He murmured.

Shukaku glared at Gaara. "I'm not your mother. Your mother left you. No one wants you. "

Kurama gently used a tail to wrap around Gaara, setting Gaara on Shukaku's head.

Gaara snuggled to Shukaku, quickly falling into a peaceful sleep.

Shukaku tried to squash Gaara, but Kurama wouldn't let him. "You're so soft, Kurama. They'll never be of any value to us. They only use us. "

Kurama used one of his tails to gently shake Naruto awake. "Kit, it's time to talk."

Naruto opened his eyes, breathing somewhat heavily. He climbed to Kurama's head, petting Kurama's war some as he hugged Kurama's ear, which was an adorable sight. "Kurama-ni, is this our new friend?"

Shukaku looked to Kurama in surprise, while Kurama only nodded. "I am no one's friend. Tailed beast's don't need friends."

"That doesn't make sense... I mean... you deserve a friend as much as Gaara and I do. We all deserve friends just as everyone else... and not just friends, but we all deserve love and happiness... I think the four of us are being denied that, but all we need is each other... Shukaku... Will you be our friend?"
