You thought you were safe?
You thought you could escape reality?
Well kid, you need to know this one thing.
You never left that lake.

I woke up eyes open facing the sky. Water surrounded me and enveloped me in a blanket like hold. The currents were pushing each other. The only reason I think I didn't die was because of the bubbles around me.

I swam up to the surface but before I could take air. The current got me and started to drag me around. I was choking and needed air. Before I could black out the current literally pushed me in the air and I landed on a chair.

"So answer me, How did your siblings die?" My therapist persisted with a sick smirk on his face.

"I don't know what you talking about!" I said rudely, I was getting tired of this, how was this supposed to help me? And help me through what?

"Yes this is to help you, something happened in that lake, you are almost there so answer the question!" He shouted, he was breaking, I could see it now, but why?

"Why are you doing this? My Mum died and my father is..." I was not even sure how he was? Was he better?

"Let's not worry about him just yet" He said, what the hell, how could he know?

"Are you in my head" I asked not believing that was possible, but how could he know what I was thinking.

"The power of the mind is extraordinary kid, you will learn that one the hard way" He got up from the chair that was next to me, I was still hanging with 2 straps.

He got closer to me and place his both hands on the side of my head "Tell me!!" He screamed and I felt a force pulling me, and everything turned black.

I opened my eyes and I was inside of the car on the lake, the car was submerged by water, I was able to release myself from the seatbelt and got out of the car, I was running out of breath

"Look on the back seats" The therapist voice whispers inside my head.

When I did, I saw my 2 younger siblings sitting in the back of the car, they were both strapped onto their seatbelts, my mum was on the driver seat and was slowly waking up, she started panicking and when I tried to reach her, she wouldn't let me help her, instead she wanted me to save my brother and sister.

"What will you choose kid?" His sick voice whispered once again inside of my mind.

I looked at my mum and I was lost, I couldn't choose, I tried to take her seatbelt but was stuck, she grab me by my arms and looked at them, I had to choose, I was running out of time.

Water pulled me out and I was sitting in his room once again, I was breathless and could feel the salty water in my mouth, how was that even possible?!

"Do you understand now?" He said calmly, all of a sudden, he removed the neck strap "We are closer to the truth now."
