Fairford City plunged deeper into the abyss after the death of its mayor. Not even months later, Robin Jenkins and Christina Clark find the dead body of their neighbor, Violet Hayes, inside their apartment. Christina firmly believes the FCPD, Fairford City Police Department, had swept the investigation under the rug, and she is ready to strike one of her own. She enlists the help of Finn Dallas, their next-door neighbor, who Robin believes knows more than he lets on.

Their investigation leads them straight down to 'The Rabbit Hole', a famous bar inside Darwin, a rotten city lying deep around the edges of Fairford. Once there, they must face Joe, who they believe has the answers they're looking for, and Kaden, a quiet and intimidating man Robin can't help but feel suspicious of.

As the trio submerges itself in the case, secrets and revelations begin to loom the surface, and a dark past that has long been forgotten crawls its way back to haunt one of them.

HELLO AND WELCOME TO SPEAKING OF MURDER

A few things:

2. Fairford and Darwin are inspired by Gotham City, Arcane, and Attack on Titan (minus the war part ofc - plus the love interest is inspired by Levi... because pls)

3. What to expect? This story is mystery/thriller. It will contain romance subplots, and of course, humor, cause I can't live without that. It might be dark and gritty at times but I'll always provide comic relief.

Another important note: although it is the main genre, this story is not just about solving a murder, hence the title (you will understand more as you read on). It goes beyond the whodunit, and tackles harsh political issues that I was hesitant to dive into - but here we are. As you read on, you notice that multiple stories are happening at once, and they will all tie together in the end.

4. This is the first draft and will be edited as needed upon completion.

5. Practically all of the characters are queer, including the main ones, so... if you got a problem with that then this book isn't for you. (It contains both MF and FF romance) Also, they all lack faith and are probably atheists/agnostic, so... yeah

6. The MC of this book is Robin, however, all the characters are important and all of them play a crucial role, so, Robin will step out of the spotlight from time to time. And btw, the characters are sometimes not likable and it's purposely done that way - we all humans have our moments really (so I won't take at all offense, criticize the characters all you want, lol but I am warning you)
