It was a sunny and pleasant day in Foosha Village on Dawn Island. The sky was clear, the waves were just right and there was a nice breeze that made it simply perfect. It was all going great...until a stranger arrived. While walking through the village, the Mayor Woo Slap, saw a young man in a rowboat coming to the docks. Once he got a good look at him, he saw that this lad was dressed as a pirate. Now even though the village was fond of pirates, Mayor Woo Slap was not. He thought of them as nothing but trouble and bad luck, so when he saw the young man rowing towards the docks he decided to see if he was a pirate. As the young lad got closer Woo Slap could see that the young man's boat was sinking as it got closer to the docks. But what made Mayor Woo Slap curious about the young man was that even though the boat was sinking, the young lad was still rowing and singing.

???: *slowly*🎶 Yo Ho...Yo Ho... All together...Hoist the colors high...Heave Ho...Thieves and Beggers... Never shall, we die🎶

As the boat was finally full of water the young lad simply hopped out of the boat and onto the docks, but before the boat finally sank, he grabbed what looked like a brown sack.

As the young man was about to pass the mayor, the mayor stopped him.

Woo Slap: You there! You know it's one berry to tie up your boat at the dock.

The young man and the mayor then looked at the man's 'boat' to see that it had fully submerged under water.

???: Well as you clearly can see mate, there's no boat there, so clearly I don't need to pay one berry.

Woo Slap: *irritated* Humph, Well at least tell me your name!

Instead of doing that, the young man put the sack down and reached into it and pulled out a brown pouch

A/N: Something like this

He then pulled out three berries and held them in front of the mayor.

???: What do you say to three berries, and we forget the name.

Although, the mayor gave the young lad the ol stink eye, he took the money.

Woo Slap: Welcome to Foosha Village...Mr. Smith.

The young lad then put his hands together and smiled at the mayor and began to walk away. As he did, the mayor turned back again to see him heading to Party's Bar.

Woo Slap: Yep, there's no doubt about it...that young man is a pirate.

Back with "Mr. Smith"

As the young man entered the bar, he was quite surprised to see that it looked... pretty much like a bar. But what surprised him was that there wasn't any broken glass, no bullet holes in the walls, no filth of any kind any where, or even any passed out drunks.

"Smith": Well I'll be, this actually a nice little bar here.

???: Why thank you.

As the young man looked to see who said that, he noticed that the voice came from a beautiful woman cleaning some glasses that she'll probably pour drinks in. The woman had green hair tied back in a ponytail, with a bandana on top. She had one of those smile's that made you feel safe.

A/N: just ignore the basket

Makino: *smiling* Welcome, my name is Makino how can I help you?

???: *walks to Makino* Not only is this a nice establishment, it's run by an angel~.

Makino: *blushes and giggles* Oh, stop you charmer~.

???: Apologies lass, but I must say you are beautiful~.

Makino: *blushes harder* W-Well thank you. So may I know your name?

???: Although I don't really give my name out to strangers, you look like someone I can trust. The names Y/N.

Makino: Y/N huh, you know that sounds familiar.

Y/N: I get that a lot.

As Y/N looked around he saw a few pictures in the back of the bar. One of the pictures showed a red haired pirate with his crew.

Y/N: Ah, so you know Red-Haired Shanks?

Makino: Yep. He's like a brother to me. He can be a handful at times, but he means well. He's one of the few pirates that are good friends.

As Y/N kept looking at the photos he saw another that caught his interest. In the picture, it showed two people that looked like brother and sister. They both wore short shorts and red sleeveless shirts. They both also had similar straw hats.

Y/N: Say, Ms. Makino-

Makino: Oh, please, J-Just call me Makino~.

Y/N:*smiles* Well Makino~, who are these two?

Makino: Oh that's Luffy and Lucy, they're brother and sister. They actually plan on leaving in a few days.

Y/N's mind: And there's me ticket out of here.

Y/N: Ya don't say, Might I ask why?

Makino: Well it's always been Luffy's dream to set sail and become King of the Pirates. He aslo made a promise to meet Shanks again and return him his straw hat.

Y/N's mind: Looks like I have competition for the One Piece.

Y/N: Really? *looks at the picture again* And the sister?

Makino: Well Lucy has always been by Luffy's side ever since they were little. She even made her own straw hat to match her brother's. So when Luffy decided that he was going to leave, Lucy begged him to take her with her, and even though Luffy refused, she just kept asking him, until he finally caved in and let her.

Y/N's mind: Well the lass is cute. I'd see why it's hard to say no to.

Y/N: Well they're in for an adventure if that's what they want. 

Makino: Well it sounds like you've had a few adventures yourself~.

Y/N: *smirks* You'd be surprised.

Makino: And yet you look so young.

Y/N: You look young yourself darling~.

Makino: Oh stop~...really?

Y/N: *gets closer to Makino* Why would I lie to beautiful woman such as yourself~?

Makino: *blushing* W-Well I j-just thought t-that you'd be into girls that are y-your age.

Y/N: I honestly love all types of women, and besides you look like you could be the same age as me~.

Makino: O-Oh

Y/N: And that's why I want to ask you~...

Makino: Y-Yes?

Y/N:....Do you have rum?

Makino: Wuh?

Y/N: Rum. Do you have any?

Makino: I-I do actually, but aren't you a little young to be drinking?

Y/N: *looks at himself then back at Makino* Do I look young?

Makino then took a closer look at Y/N

To her, he didn't, but she felt like she was older than him. She saw his muscles and actually liked his facial hair. She didn't notice, but she was slowly starting to drool over him.

Y/N: Ahem!

Makino: *snaps out of her fantasy* Y-Yes?!

Y/N: My eyes are up here darling~.

Makino:*blushing* S-Sorry. I'll get you your rum.

Y/N: Much obliged. *takes a seat* So might I ask, will you be going with them?

Makino: No, I have this place to run. Besides I'm pretty sure, that they wouldn't want someone like me going with them.

Y/N: Aw non-sense! Anyone would be lucky to have a beautiful woman such as yourself with them. Haven't you ever wanted to be out there on the sea. The wind in your face and the smell of the ocean. Leaving all your worries behind, and not having a care in the world.

Makino: Hmm, well although it sounds nice, I can't just leave this place behind.

Y/N: I'm sure that this place would be fine without you, besides *looks around the bar* looks like buisness is slow around here.

Makino: Well we don't really get that many visitors around here and the village is rather peaceful.

Y/N's mind: Compared to Tortuga, this place is nicer, but rather boring.

Y/N: Exactly! What you need is a little adventure in your life. And what better way to do that tanh going with Luffy and Lucy and helping them. Besides I'm pretty sure you've helped look out for them, so you must know some kind medical experience, cause looking just at the photo they look like they can also be a handful.

Makino: *giggles* If only you knew.

Y/N: Plus, you could also be the crew's bartender and since you've been here you must have some expierence on what to expect out there since you know other pirates like Shanks.

Makino: Are you trying to get me to join them do I can help them, or for me to go with you~?

Y/N: Well as much as I'd love for you to come and set sails with me, I actually lost me ship just a while ago.

Makino: How did that happen.

Y/N: *sweats* It's.. a little foggy in me memory, but all I remember is that one moment I'm celebrating with me crew, and the next I wake up in a sinking row boat heading here.

Makino:*giggles*  Well isn't that a wake-up call.

Y/N: Eh, I've woken up worse. But due to that I technically am marooned here for the time being. So setting off with a couple of sea guppies sounds like fun. Besides I've had my fair share out there, so I could be of some help, and I wouldn't mind your company as well~

Makino: *gives him his rum* W-Well I don't know, I mean it does sound like fun...

At that moment Y/N and Makino could hear fighting and shouting and it was getting closer. Suddenly in came Luffy and Lucy.

Luffy: I'm telling you Lucy, you can't be queen of the pirates!

Lucy: And why not!?

Luffy: Cause that's my dream!

Lucy: Well my dream is to help you with yours so I'm going to be Queen of the pirates!

Luffy: But there's never been a queen before!

Lucy: That's why I'm going to be the first!!

Luffy: No your not!!

Luffy then pinched his sister's cheeks and started to stretch her face. Now it looked like they were just being siblings, but all of a sudden Luffy stretched is sister's face so wide it actually looked like she was stretching.

Lucy: Yes I will!!

Lucy then did the same thing to Luffy and stretched his face out.

Y/N: *spits out some rum* What the Devil?!

Luffy and Lucy then stopped what they were doing and looked at Y/N.

Luffy: *face still stretched out* I der um Luffy.

Y/N: Wuh?

Luffy: *let's go of Lucy and she does the same* I said Hi there I'm Luffy.

Y/N: Oh, well nice to meet ya.

Luffy: You too, and this is my sister Lucy.

Lucy: *blushes as she looks at Y/N* H-Hi.

Luffy: *looks at Lucy* What's wrong Lucy your face is all red.

Lucy: N-No it's not!

Luffy: Yeah it is, you're as red as an apple!

Lucy: *takes another look at Y/N and looks away quickly* W-Whatever.

Y/N: Well it's nice to meet you too Lucy.

This made Lucy blush harder.

Y/N: Might I ask but how are you two able to stretch like that?

Luffy: Oh that, that's because me and Lucy are Rubber People. We both ate the Gum-Gum Fruit.

Y/N: Wait...you mean to tell me that you both ate a devil fruit?

Luffy: Actually we were arguing over the fruit cause it just looked like food to us and we both bit into it at the same time. And man it tasted nasty, but we still ate it though.

Y/N: But I thought only one person can take the powers of the Devil Fruit?

Luffy: *shrugs his shoulders* I don't know, all I know is that now me and Lucy can't swim.

Y/N's Mind: Wait...if devil fruits do exist then....

Y/N then thought back to the time he was on a slave ship heading to Port Royal when he was no older than thirteen. He had been starved for three weeks without any food and barely little water just for defending a young boy from being whipped. As he was looking out a window, he noticed an odd looking fruit floating by. So when no one was looking he used a fishing net near by and caught it. As he took a closer look at it, it looked odd it was in the shape of a pear, but it was black with white swirls around it, but he didn't really pay attention to it. He in haled it like there was no tomorrow and even though it tasted bad it kept him going.

Y/N's Mind: Well that would explain a few things...but if that was a devil fruit then.....

Y/N then thought back to a time when he got separated from his father. There was a massive storm and Y/N had been thrown over board in it. He had ran out of food that was with him and was on the verge of starvation. Suddenly a strange fruit had popped right out of the water and floated by Y/N's raft. Without thinking he ate it. When he took a closer look at it, he noticed it looked like an apple, but it was shiny. It had gold, silver, jade, ruby, crystal, and many other shiny colors. But since he was starving he still ate it all.

Y/N's Mind: Could that be possible?... I mean...that many? But I can still swim though.....

Makino: Um Y/N?

Y/N: *snaps out of his thoughts* huh, Oh I'm sorry were you saying something?

Makino: Sorry to bother you, it's just that I was talking to Luffy and Lucy about you and hey waned to ask you something.

Y/N: *looks at the siblings* And what would that be?

Luffy: Would you like to join my crew?

Lucy then elbowed Luffy in the gut while blushing at Y/N.

Luffy: Ow! I mean 'Our' crew. *glares at Lucy*

Y/N: *stands up and bows* It would be an honor.

Y/N then looked at Makino who smiled, but she looked upset at the same time.

Y/N: Luffy, Lucy I also have a question for you two.

Lucy: W-What's t-that Y-Y/N?

Y/N: Well what do you think a Makino joining us as well~?

Makino was surprised that you did that. This of course made Luffy and Lucy think about it.

Luffy: Hmm, well she has always been there for us, and she knows more about pirates than we do....it would be cool if she would go!

Lucy: Yeah!

 Y/N: *smirks and looks at Makino* Well Makino, what do you say~?

Makino: *looks at Luffy and Lucy who are begging silently for her to go behind Y/N and sighs* Alright I'll go.

Luffy/Lucy: Yeah!!

Y/N: Well then*looks at Luffy and Lucy* When do we set sail Captians?

A Few day later

It was finally the day of the departure and Y/N had bought the necessary supplies they would need. He also bought an extra larger row boat so that they all would fit and so it could also carry their provisions. He also bought a couple more bandanas for Makino, fruits and vegetables for Lucy, Extra meat for Luffy, and as much rum as he could carry for himself. As they were leaving, Y/N thought about something that was never discussed.

Y/N: Um, Luffy, Lucy?

Luffy/Lucy: Yes/Y-Yes?

Y/N: Do we have a map?

Luffy/Lucy: Nope

Y/N's mind: I was afraid of that

Y/N: Well in that case I think I might be able to help here.

Y/N then pulled out a compass that was given to him by his father.

Y/N: Although I got to say it may or may not be broken.

Makino: Why is that Y/N?

Y/N: Well my father once told me that this compass is special. He said that it would point to anywhere to my heart's desire.

Makino: So why would it be broken?

Y/N: Well whenever I've tried to use it to find certain things, the blasted thing just spins around in circles.

Lucy: Can I try?

Y/N: Sure.

As Lucy thought about what she wanted the compass stared to move when it stopped moving it pointed at Y/N.

Lucy:*hands back the compass* I-I don't think it's broken.

Makino tried next and it also pointed at Y/N. When Luffy tried, it was pointing at the meat.

Makino: Why don't you try again Y/N?

Y/N then took a deep breath and finally the compass stopeed going in circles and pointed straight ahead.

Y/N's Mind: Finally....

As Y/N was smiling he saw something rising above the water. As he took a closer look he could see it was a sea king.

The sea king charged at the boat and opened it's jaws. As it was getting closer, Y/N pulled out his pistols from his sack.

A/N: Ignore everything else but the guns.

But as Y/N and aimed them at the beast, Luffy and Lucy got up and pulled back their arms.

Luffy/Lucy: GUM-GUM Pistol!

Then Luffy and Lucy both punched the sea king and sent it flying.

Luffy: Ah, It's a great day to set sail!

Y/N's Mind: Well blow me down...this is definitely going to be one of my best adventures yet.

As they passed by the sea king, it suddenly woke up and stared at them with an even angrier expression. Luffy and Lucy were about to punch it again, but Y/N got in front of them. 

Lucy: Y/N, what are you-

Y/N then stared at the sea king. As it was about to attack, it looked right at Y/N. The sea king looked at Y/N and was suddenly hit by a wave of energy.As Y/n did that, Luffy thought back to when he saw this.

Luffy: Wait...that energy...

Luffy then thought back to when he was about to be eaten by the sea king when he was just a boy, but luckily Shanks saved him. Lucy couldn't do anything but watch from afar, but Shanks had used some kind of energy that he scared away the sea king with some kind of energy. Now Luffy saw it again, but now with Y/n protecting them.

Y/N: Don't even think about it.

The Sea King was mortified. It was shaking and frozen with fear.

As Y/N thought it was all over, something else happened....

 The sea king spoke

Sea King: S-Sorry.

Y/N:...Wait...did you just talk?

Sea King: Whoa....did you just understand me?

A/N: And that's the end of this chapter. Up next The 'Iron Maiden'. And now for a few quick announcements.
