Ivy's POV

He called it 'Our tree'. Ours! That has to be a good sign, right? I'm giddy as I walk back to my dorm to get in a bit of gameplay before I'm supposed to meet Asher. As I walk into the lobby of my dorm, Emersyn starts to pace uneasily. I am immediately on alert. Scenting the air, I'm surprised to catch the scent of wolf. It's fresh and doesn't seem familiar, telling me that this is not a student.

I follow the scent and am surprised when the trail leads me straight to the door of my room. I know Emily isn't here, because her program keeps her in class from 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m. so that is one less thing to worry about as long as I handle this quickly. I silently backtrack to the lobby while taking out my phone. I pull up my contacts and am about to hit my dad's number when I decide that it would be best to call Keegan. He is the Alpha of our pack now, after all, and I don't want him to feel like I don't respect him because I do. He is an amazing leader.

Keegan answers with a gruff, " Hello baby sister, so good of you to call me. I've heard from both of our parents that you met your mate days ago and yet this is the first time I hear from you."

I cringe. I hadn't meant to leave Keegan out, but I just didn't think about it. " Sorry Kee Kee," I say, hoping that the childhood nickname will soften him up. "I have been meaning to call you, but so much has been going on."

He chuckles, " It's ok. I understand. So what's up? Are you just calling to belatedly tell me about my new soon to be pack member, or did you need something?"

"Well, now that you ask, I may need you to come here. There is an unfamiliar wolf in my room. Only one, so I can totally handle it, but I would feel better if you were here in case something happens, or I don't know if I end up needing a body bag..." I tell him nonchalantly.

He growls angrily before practically screaming, "What!?! Why didn't you lead with that? Gah! I'm on my way. We have been having problems with the Black Forest Pack for a while now. They are trying to make a land grab. I guarantee this is some sort of power play. I'll be there in 30 minutes. Call me back if you have any problems. And Ivy?"

"Yes oh Alpha, my Alpha?" I ask teasingly. I love to annoy him, but what else are younger sisters for, right?

He snorts, " Try not to kill them, I'd like to be able to get a few answers." He says before hanging up without so much as a goodbye. I huff. Rude.

Slipping my phone back in my pocket, I head back to my room. When I open the door, I don't even try to act surprised by the presence of my uninvited guest as I quickly step in and close it behind me. My first impression of the woman is that she is gorgeous. She looks to be in her mid to late twenties and has long, curly blonde hair with glowing tan skin. But then I see her eyes. They are a beautiful light grey with hints of blue, but the color isn't what catches my attention. It is the slightly crazed, bloodthirsty look in them. I know by the excited smile she flashes me that this is no friendly visit. She is here for a fight.

"Hello little girl, sorry to ruin your day, but you are coming with me." She says in what I assume is supposed to be a threatening voice, but I can feel the vibes coming from her and I know that I am a much more powerful wolf.

I don't even bother to reply as I surge forward. Grabbing her by the hair with my left hand, I use it to hold her still as I plow my right fist straight into the side of her head. The look of shock on her face registers just before she goes limp, falling to my feet, unconscious. I look down at her disgustedly before stepping over her limp form and taking a seat on the edge of my bed. I pull out my phone and dial my brother's number again.

"Hey, I'm almost there. Is everything alright on your end?" He asks quickly.

"Yeah, all good here. The crazy lady went down with one hit. Pathetic." I sneer. " When you get here, go around to the back of my building. I'll hand her out the window to you." I say, thinking that it is a good thing that my room is on the ground floor and my window faces the forest.

" Yeah, ok. I just pulled into the parking lot. Go ahead and open your window." He tells me before ending the call.

I do as he says, and a couple of minutes later I hear his footsteps heading my way. When he reaches my window, he freezes, lifting his nose in the air and taking in a deep breath. After a moment he just shakes his head and reaches in to pull me into an awkward hug that has me hanging halfway out the window. " It's good to see you, Ivy." I hug him back with enthusiasm, not realizing until just now how much I missed him. My brother. My Alpha.

"Good to see you, too, Kee Kee." I say, taking comfort in his scent. He chuckles before pulling back.

"Alright, as much as I want to hang out with you, we need to get her out of here before she wakes up." He says, before gesturing to the woman on the floor behind me that I had somehow forgotten.

"Oh, right. Yeah." I walk to the unconscious she-wolf and easily lift her into my arms before handing her out the window to Keegan.

"You're coming home this weekend, right? I miss having you around." He tells me.

"Yeah, don't worry, it's only 3 more days," I reassure him. "Love you, big brother."

He smiles," Love you too, sis. See you." He says with a nod and then jogs around the building, back towards the parking lot.

I don't know what the Black Forest Pack was thinking when they sent one wolf to try to take me, but they will have to try a lot harder than that to get any leverage over our pack.
