"I See Her."
The light reflecting off my dress is blinding. Dad and Pop are talking to Dylan outside. I let out a small laugh. Christy looks at me like I'm crazy. "What's going through that head?" She asks. "Just thinking about what Dad, Pop, and Dylan are talking about." I say. She smiles. "Your Dads are crazy." She mutters. "I know."
"All done!" Christy exclaims. She sprays hairspray over my newly curled hair and steps back to inspect her work. "It's perfect." I smile.
A knock at the door sends Chrissy flying to answer it. I stand and twirl in my dress. "It's beautiful." I look up at my Dads who stand beside Christy. Dad is tearing up and Pop stands still, admiring my dress. I smile. "Don't cry Dad. If you cry, then I'll start crying." I say. Dad smiles. "You look flawless." Dad says. I smile wider. They all rush forward and envelop me in hugs. Poppa pulls away and says, "It's time."
We walk towards the double doors that lead outside he building. We meet Kevin, Dylan's best man at the door. Christy wraps her arm around Kevin's forearm and walks out the doors. The soft music meets my ears and I manage a small smile.
"You ready?" Dad asks. I nod. "Yeah." I smile at him then Poppa. We link arms then emerge from the building.
The majesty that lays outside the building hits me like a bullet. It's beautiful. Sparkling lights hang from the tree branches and lanterns light the aisles. Rose petals lay on the ground where we step.
Then my eyes meet Dylan through the veil. He looks so handsome. The distance between us narrows. Dad kisses my cheek and stands beside me. Poppa hugs me tightly. "I love you Ana." He says in my ear. They sit on the front row and link hands.
I meet Dylan and look up at him. He lifts the veil and I can see the tears threatening to spill onto his cheeks. I wipe one away. He smiles and says, "I see her."
