The weeks had gone past and Fergal and Pam continued to be civil and some how got into routine with Pam's visitation and things were going well. Pam was happy to be back in her little girl's life and to be a mum to her and she was thankful that Fergal didn't shut her out of Abby's life. There was still that moment Fergal had kissed her 2 months ago and Pam wasn't about to let it go even if Fergal was avoiding any talk about that night she wasn't about to give up especially now that she knew for a fact that nothing was going on between Fergal and Mercedes and she was thankful for that because Pam knew Fergal still loved her and she was going to make him realise his feelings sooner than later.

Today Fergal was going out to a WWE function, a formal fundraiser to raise money for a good course. Unfortunately he had to get a babysitter to watch Abby as Pam was also going to be at this function as she was a WWE superstar like himself and had been invited. Fergal had just finished getting dressed and was fixing his shirt before putting on his jacket as he looked at himself in the mirror, satisfied with his look Fergal walked downstairs to see the babysitter in the living room with Abby as he walked.

"Right, I've left my number on the fridge in case of an emergency. Abby you be good for the babysitter okay sweetheart?" Fergal said as he kneeled in front of Abby while the babysitter watched on.

"Yes daddy, I promise" Abby replied smiling at her daddy.

"Good girl, I love you" Fergal said again as he opened his arms inviting her in for a hug.

"I love you too Daddy, have fun" Abby answered before she jumped into his arms for the hug before Fergal kissed the side of her head as he got up saying good bye to the babysitter before grabbing his wallet, phone and keys as he walked out of the house.

Arriving at the function, which was held at the Performance Centre Fergal walked in and saw lots of people, co workers and friends mingling with each other as he walked into the crowd greeting people that he pasted. Across the room Pam saw him come in and watched him greeting people, Fergal must of felt someone looking at him because when he looked up he saw Pam and they locked eyes as Fergal gazed at her, Pam looked beautiful before Fergal broke contact and looked away. Pam continued to watch him as he walked up to Mercedes and Joe greeting them and making small talk with them.

Soon everyone was seated for the presentation part of the fundraiser which went past fairly quickly and after they had their meals every one just mingled with each other and as it was a formal gathering there was music and dancing afterward. Fergal was again talking with Mercedes and Joe until Joe asked Mercedes to dance and soon they were on the dance floor dancing a slow waltz, Fergal watched them and the other couples dancing the night away and he sighed and was about to turn to head off to the bar for another drink. Pam saw him and decided to go talk to him secretly hoping he'll ask her to dance, but as she was heading over she saw WWE reporter Cathy Kelley walk up to Fergal and engage him in conversation. Pam watched as Fergal laughed at whatever Cathy said then Pam froze when she saw Fergal lead Cathy to the dance floor all Pam could do was watch as they started to dance. Pam was crushed and she felt the jealousy raise in her but before she could do anything she turned and bumped into Elias as he was heading off the dance floor.

"Hey Pam, I'm sorry for bumping into you, are you okay?" Elias asked as he looked at Pam making sure she was okay.

"It's okay, I'm fine" Pam replied looking back at Elias.

"You know what let me make it up to you for bumping into you, dance with me" Elias asked holding his hand out to her.

"You don't have to but I'd love to dance" Pam replied before taking his hand and they walked out onto the dance floor.

On the dance floor Pam started dancing with Elias and she turned her head and locked eyes with Fergal who saw her dancing with Elias. Looking at them for a few seconds Fergal grew uncomfortable watching them and he looked at Cathy to apologise and to thank her for the dance.

"I'm sorry Cathy but thank you for the dance" Fergal said as he stopped dancing then looked at her before he squeezed her hand.

"You're welcome Fergal, maybe sometime we could-" Cathy started saying looking at Fergal smiling at him seductively.

"Cathy, I'm sure you'll make a lucky man happy but it's not me. I'm sorry" Fergal replied before he turned around and walked off as Cathy stood there dejected. Across the dance floor Pam saw everything, Cathy making a move on Fergal who rejected her advances apologizing to her before Fergal walked off the dance floor leaving an upset Cathy.

Inside her, Pam was celebrating that Fergal rejected Cathy as she watched Fergal talking to Rebecca and Colby who were standing on the side before Fergal walked off out of Pam's sight and she quickly looked around but couldn't see Fergal. Looking at Elias, Pam thanked him for the dance before she rushed off the dance floor looking for Fergal and finally seeing him walking away and out the door into the hallway. Without thinking Pam chased him out and found him in the hallway seeing him on his phone, Fergal had just finished his call when he heard someone call his name out.

"Fergal!" Pam called out to him after he hung up his phone.

Fergal pocketed his phone and turned around and saw Pam standing there in the hallway with him and she really looked very elegant and beautiful as she stood there Fergal couldn't help but look at her and he couldn't move when she slowly walked up to him, his eyes never leaving hers as she smiled at him.

Pam stopped in front of him as they continued look at each other, they just stood there before Fergal got a flashback from weeks ago when he had kissed her in his living room in a moment where he let his emotions get the better of him. He snapped out of it looking at her again but before he could turn and walk away a song came on from inside the function room and they looked at each other and lost in each other's eyes as they moved closer to each other.

Fergal put his hand out and didn't need to ask, Pam smiled at him before she placed her hand in his as Fergal pulled her closer to him.

He wrapped his arm around her back while Pam placed her hand on his shoulder as Fergal held her other hand close to his chest before they started swaying to the music as they danced in the hallway.

They continued to dance ignoring everything around them, they just looked at each other as they danced before Fergal leaned forward touching his nose on hers, their forehead lightly leaning against one another as they were lost in the moment swaying and dancing in their own little world. Not braking contact, Pam looked up and soon they found themselves leaning in their lips lightly brushing against one another as Fergal tighten his arm around her.

Meanwhile inside the function room, Mercedes and Joe were looking around for Fergal wondering where he went off to, they saw Cathy at the bar drinking and chatting up some young man so they knew Fergal wasn't with Cathy who was the last person they had seen Fergal with.

"Have you seen him yet?" asked Mercedes as she looked at Joe to see if he'd seen Fergal somewhere.

"No, I haven't seen him. Hey Colby, have you seen Fergal?" Joe said then asked Colby as he was coming over with Rebecca to catch up with Joe and Mercedes.

"No, last time I saw him he was walking off the dance floor" Colby replied before he looked at Rebecca asking her if she'd seen him.

"No, but I can't see Pam anywhere either. You don't think?" Rebecca said then looked at Mercedes who's jaw dropped as they looked at each other for a second before Mercedes grabbed Joe as Rebecca grabbed Colby and they walked out of the function room but froze on the spot when they saw Fergal and Pam in the hallway dancing.

Both Joe and Colby were about to say something but Mercedes and Rebecca were ready slapping their hands over their mouths before they pushed them back towards the function room shoving them inside as both girls smiled at Fergal and Pam before they followed their men inside without disturbing their moment.

Fergal and Pam continued to dance and soon the song was over and they were still swaying around before they realised the music had stopped and they finally stopped looking at each other once again, Fergal then realised he had again let his emotions get the better of him as he held Pam close to him their lips a whisper away from connecting before he let go of Pam as he stepped back but still kept eye contact with her as Pam eyes looked at him almost begging him.

"Fergal....... Fergie......." Pam pleaded before she moved towards him, her hands reaching out to him.

"I can't, I can't do this......." Fergal replied moving back before he turned around and walked away from her.

"FERGAL! FERGAL!" Pam called out to him before she started sobbing but he kept on walking until he walked out as Pam sobbed with her hand over her mouth "I love you, I'm sorry" she sobbed uncontrollably and outside the door Fergal heard her sobs and it tore him up "I'm sorry too" was all Fergal whispered before he left, tears in his eyes too.

A/N: Please don't kill me (hides behind my screen and keyboard LOL) it has to be this way for now but you know what a Baylor freak I am they'll find the way soon but for now Fergal is torn he loves Pam but she hurt him and she knows she's hurt him, Pam's hurting as well but she loves him too ugh it kills me but it needs to happen it's how I've planned it but sit tight it will get better.
