Fergal and Pam haven't seen each other since the day of the function they attended for WWE, Pam was so upset that she would go and see Abby when Fergal wasn't there she just couldn't look at him after what happened and Fergal was the same not wanting to be in the same room as Pam afraid his emotions will again blindside him once again. Abby had noticed her parents avoiding each other at all costs and the little girl was confused and upset not knowing why her parents didn't want to see each other anymore. Fergal and Pam would tell the girl everything was fine and that 'mummy and daddy didn't hate each other or are angry at each other' which made Abby happy but for a 3 year old she could see her parents were troubled.

One day Fergal's parents had come to the States from Ireland to see Fergal and their granddaughter. Leonie noticed Fergal's behaviour with Pam too and she knew something was up, a mother knows especially when it came to Fergal, Leonie knows her son and she could see something was upsetting him and she was determined to get to the bottom of it and with the help of Abby, grandmother and granddaughter made an alliance.

Leonie and Fintan, Fergal's father organised a little family gathering at Leonie and Fintan's house. Leonie and Fintan live in Ireland but seeing as they travel to the States often to see their son and granddaughter they decided to just buy a little house near Fergal so that way if they come to the States they stay in their own place so their son has his privacy and not have to worry about his parents dropping in unexpected. So the plan was set and Abby who was with Pam today was perfect for Leonie to see Pam and invite her over. Leonie loved Pam and it pained her when Pam walked out on her son and Abby but in time Leonie forgave her and understood her position being a mum herself its hard and scary when your a first time mum.

After spending the day with her girl, Pam dropped her off at Fintan and Leonie's house as Fergal was at the gym so Pam was too happy to leave Abby with Leonie and Fintan. Walking into the house and after making sure Abby was okay Pam turned to leave but Leonie came rushing out of the kitchen to stop Pam from leaving.

"Pamela!" Leonie called out making Pam stop just before she could reach the front door.

"Leonie I'm sorry but I'm in a rush" Pam said when she saw Leonie rush towards her.

"Nonsense, come sit for a minute" Leonie replied and didn't wait for Pam to respond as she wrapped her arm around Pam's leading into the living room.

Walking into the Devitt's living room, Pam saw pics of the family on the wall and on the mantle piece but one picture caught her eye it was a family pic of Fergal and Pam holding baby Abby. Pam remembers that day, Fergal wanted to get some family photos with a newborn Abby. Pam had agreed and Pam could see she was actually happy in that photo as she held baby Abby in her arms and Fergal standing next to her arms around her waist with a huge smile on his face, Pam could feel herself getting emotional and she looked away from the photo but Leonie saw Pam's reaction to the photo and she smiled.

"You still love my son, don't you Pamela?" Leonie asked even though she already knew the answer.

"Leonie I....... I should be going" Pam replied as she didn't want to brake down in front of her former to be mother in law.

"Pamela, you love him I can tell, I can see. You can't fool me, I know you do" Leonie said before she pulled Pam into a hug and Pam couldn't hold it anymore she broke down as she held onto Leonie as she cried.

"Oh Leonie, I love him. I want my family back but I don't think he loves me anymore" Pam sobbed as Leonie rubbed her back soothingly.

"Of course he loves you. Fergal has never loved another woman like he loves you and believe me I know my son better than he knows himself" Leonie said as Pam pulled back to look at her.

"Now your staying for dinner and I don't want to hear another word" Leonie continued saying and by the look on her face Pam couldn't say no.

"Okay I'll stay for dinner, but only for you" Pam replied smiling as she wiped her tears while Leonie was happy and she pulled Pam into the dining room to help her set the table.

Later on with Pam setting the table and Leonie in the kitchen getting the food ready while Fintan was sitting on the couch reading the paper. After Pam had finished setting the table and Leonie placing the food on the table the front door opened but Pam was too busy helping Leonie she didn't heard anything and when she walked back into the dining room with the salad she froze on the spot when she saw someone she wasn't expecting.

"Mum, I can't stay for dinner I'm just here to pick up Ab-" Fergal was saying but froze when he saw Pam not his mum walking out into the dining room holding a bowl of salad.

"Pam!" Fergal said in shock.

"Fergal!" Pam said at the same time as they stood there looking at each other.

"Ah excellent your finally here Fergal, FINTAN dinner is served!" Leonie said then called for Fintan to come eat.

"Close your mouth sweetie, you don't want something to fall in do you?" Leonie said to Fergal before he shut his mouth and looked at his mum as Fintan came in and sat down.

"Sit down Fergal, Pamela please sit" Leonie said as Pam snapped out of her gaze and placed the salad down on the table before she sat down with Fergal sitting down next to his mum and Abby sitting next to Pam.

They all sat in silence as they ate with Pam and Fergal stealing glances at each other when they thought Leonie wasn't looking but Leonie was looking then and smiled secretly as she winked at Abby who was eating her food as Abby smiled back at her.

"So this is nice to have a little family get together" Leonie said as Fergal started choking before Leonie slapped his back.

"Dinner is lovely Leonie, thank you for asking me to stay" Pam said smiling at Leonie as Fergal looked up at her than his mother.

The rest of dinner was a quiet affair and when it was over Pam helped Leonie pack the table and clean up the dishes as Fergal and his dad retired into the living room. After Pam helped clean up and packed the dishes she grabbed her bag to leave but Leonie stopped her again before she walked her into the living room where Fintan and Fergal were talking. Walking in Fergal looked up from his conversation with his dad to see his mum walking Pam into the room.

"Right, now I'm sick of this circus between you two, you have a smart 3 year old who understands everything and she knows something is going on with mummy and daddy so get your heads out of your behinds and fix it" Leonie said with a stern look at Fergal as if to push her point home.

"Mum-" Fergal started saying but was cut off by his mum.

"No, you listen to me Fergal Devitt" Leonie almost yelled making Fergal shut his mouth and listen to his mum.

"I know your hurt sweetie, I understand I do but Pam's hurting too and I don't agree with her walking out but at the time she felt that was the only solution. After she did some soul searching she came back to face the reality of her decision and I'm proud of you for allowing Pam to be in Abby's life but damn it you both still love each other, I see it and I know you both do so don't you deny it. All I ask of you is that if that love is still there, that flame, don't throw it away because of pride" Leonie said not letting Fergal or Pam talk until she was done scolding the both of them.

"Leonie is right, Fergal I'm sorry I hurt you and it hurt me hurting you but I saw no other option and I was scared and yes it took me 3 years to finally suck it up and come back to face the consequences of my decision but I had to do it, I couldn't keep running from my decision I had to face it so I can heal and make peace with you and our daughter. I love you Fergal and I never stopped, no matter how far I was from you but if you don't love me I have to except that and let you go as much as it will hurt me I have to do it so I don't go crazy" Pam said with tears in her eyes now almost struggling to get the words out as she looked Fergal in the eye will herself not to breakdown in front of him and his parents.

"Pam I don't-" Fergal started saying but Pam cut him off holding her hand up to stopped him as Leonie and Fintan watched them.

"It's okay you don't have to say it again, I heard you tell me for the last couple of months and now I finally get it, so don't worry I won't be a bother to you again I just want to be able to see Abby that is all I ask of you" Pam said softly taking a deep breath, she had no idea where she was finding the strength to not break but she was holding herself together but only just.

"Pam, you'll always be allowed to see Abby, I've seen how good you are with her and how close you've become with her even with our issues. So you can see her when ever you want, I won't stop you but-" Fergal replied reaching out and placing his hands on her arms as he looked at her.

"No, you don't have to say anything else, thank you. Can I ask for one more thing?" Pam said then asked as she looked at him.

"Of course" was all Fergal replied.

"Can you hold me one more time, I want to feel your arms around me one last time" Pam said as the tears started to roll down her cheeks.

Without saying anything Fergal leaned forward and wrapped his arms around her holding her tightly in his embrace as she rested her head on his shoulder her arms wrapping around his waist holding on just as tightly and at that moment she couldn't hold it anymore any last restrains she had broke and she started sobbing.

"I just want you to be happy and if that means that its with someone else than I'm happy" Pam sobbed softly whispering into his ear.

After a few minutes of being in his arms, Pam pulled back and the warmth she felt with his body was gone before she brought her hands up to dry her face. She looked at Fergal one more time as he stood there looking at her like a stunned mullet before she turned and hugged Leonie.

"Thank you Leonie, for everything" Pam said pulling back then grabbed her bag as she turned to look at Fergal once more before she walked out of the door leaving Fergal standing there not believing what just happened, he got what he wanted..... didn't he?

A/N: Ugh the heartbreak OMG, DON'T KILL ME cos I know you want to but it had to happen its how I planned it but stay with me its falling into place how I want it. I know I said it will get better it will TRUST ME! Maybe now Fergal will get his damn head out of his ass LOL I know Pam hurt him but he still loves her goddamn it ahhhhh.
