Chapter Eight 

finally!

3rd person pov 

she didn't know about the sekai taikai but she knew that it was something big and she needed to help them do something about it. she had been learning as hard and fast as possible. she didn't think that she could learn so much so fast but she was. 

"so how are you feeling?" sam asked the girl and xenia smiled at her. 

"good, I'm good, how are you?" she asked 

"fine, hey can we talk alone?" sam asked and xenia nodded as the two of them walked away from everyone and they all watched. miguel smiled at the sight of them together before he turned to hawk and robby 

"so whats up?" she asked 

"I like you xenia, like I really really like you and I want to see where this is going" she stated and xenia smiled as she grabbed her hand and leaned in to kiss the girl. miguel heard hawk and robby stop talking and they turned to see the two girls kissing each other. 

"finally!" hawk said and they pulled away with a smile before they walked over to the others and held each others hands happily. they stood and listened to johnny, chozen and danny said. 

"go move those asses" johnny yelled and they all separated. sam and xenia went with danny as they began to stretch and he stared at the two girls. he saw the way sam looked at her and he was happy to know that they were together and had each other. 

"you guys ready?" he asked them and they nodded as they began to train and work together. they did what they did best and worked together. everyone saw how they worked and it meant something to them that the two girls were so good together. 

they moved to the other location and sam kicked the watermelon hanging as it blew up and splattered on the man. xenia laughed and hawk nudged her with a shake of his head but she couldn't help it. 

"Drago! rocky balboa is my hero" he said and they all laughed as they continued to do what they were taught. it was now Sam and xenia on the waterboard and they did it perfectly. finally, the rest of them worked together and it was good. 

they stayed in the back once it was over and waited for the three men to come back and talk to them. they were in fear of what was going to happen but they had hope. 

"don't lose hope guys, we still have a chance," xenia told them and they all nodded. once they found out, they knew that it was between xenia or sam to go against the girl they selected and the two of them shared a look. 

they went back to sams house and robby went to the living room with hawk, Miguel and johnny. sam and xenia sat down together outside and waited. 

"do you think you're ready for this?" sam asked her and xenia shrugged. sam grabbed her hand and they sighed. 

"I don't know, you've been doing this for way longer then I have but I think I have a chance. apart of me is scared that ill get up there and forget everything. ill go against tory and have no idea what I'm doing" she said and sam nodded. 

"that's why I should do it, you have potential and we both know that but cobra kai is aggressive and rude and they don't take things lightly; they would be dicks about the fact that you're going against her and I'm not" sam stated and xenia nodded. 

"so its settled" she exclaimed and sam nodded as she grabbed her hand and xenia looked at them. 

"sam, what are we?" she asked and sam smiled as she brushed xenias hair behind her ear and stared at her. 

"I want you to be my girlfriend, I want to hold your hand and kiss you and tell you how beautiful you are. i want to be with you every step of everyday and I want you to know how much I care for you" she told her and xenia smiled 

"I want the same thing" she exclaimed 

"xenia, will you be my girlfriend?" she asked and xenia nodded. 

"of course I will" she said and they leaned in to kiss each other. soon enough, Miguel came out and told her that they needed to go home and get some sleep before tomorrow. she understood and she left the house going back to the apartment and falling asleep. 

the next morning, she was woken up by her alarm and she got dressed as fast as she could. they drove to the dojo with the others and they began to look around. sam and xenia stood next to each other as they held the others hand and stared at the other team. hawk and Kenny looked at each other and xenia laughed. 

"he's so small" she exclaimed and they both laughed before they saw kenny walk over to robby and talk to him. miguel and xenia looked at each other and then around. the two siblings watched everyone. 

"how ya feeling?" he asked her and she shrugged before she saw kenny and hawk get on the mate together and they watched. sam held xenias hand and watched the ref tell them to fight. 

she held her breathe watching kenny got after hawk and get a point. she sighed and watched them go again, hawk hit him but he said out of bounds and xenia looked at sam. 

"they're cheating" she said and sam nodded before they watched them go again and Kenny hit hawks leg and got a warning. 

"this is bullshit" she said and they began one final time, as soon as they got the go, Kenny hit hawk in the chest and hawk couldn't breathe. 

"hawk" xenia spoke and she ran over to him. 

"that's a forfeit , winner, payne" the ref called and xenia scoffed. she stared at sam and then looked at silver who was staring at the ref and made eye contact with tory. 

"looks like you got a new name, faux-hawk" kenny said and xenia laughed

"looks like you got one too, cheater" she called and he stared at her before the girls fight was set to began and tory wasn't there. they had devon go up against her. xenia leaned against Miguel and watched. 

"you got this" xenia said as sam walked away after two rounds. the girl watched her girlfriend and waited. they went three more times and sam won. 

"yes!" xenia cheered for her and they hugged. 

"you did amazing" xenia told her and sam kissed her cheek before they stood in front of the committee and waited for the results. 

"as expected, we were impressed with the skills, precisison and discipline of the sekai taikai qualifier, cobra kai" he said and they sighed.  

"hey, we tried" xenia said 

"as for our other dojo, we admired your unusual mix of styles and underdog spirit, and we think you could be a unique addition to the competition. therefore, we've decided that your dojo has also qualified" he said and they all cheered as they hugged and smiled. 

"holy shit, you guys did it" xenia told them and they all left the cobra kai dojo as they went to Miguel and xenias apartment after to party. xenia and sam were together, until sam disappeared and she couldn't find her. all of a sudden, they heard something outside and saw sam and tory fighting. 

it was all going to shit and they didn't know what to do. all they knew was that it was going to end horribly.
