Chapter Thirteen

her two brothers 

3rd person pov

the next day xenia stood in the dojo standing next to robby and miguel as the three of them watching sam and tory fight or at least try to but they ended up just circling each other and xenia made eye contact with robby who shrugged and she groaned

"your girlfriends are broken, what the hell did you guys do?" devon asked the three of them and miguel turned to xenia and robby who shrugged and looked back at them 

"i swear to god, i didn't do anything" xenia said and robby continued on for her because she didn't have anything else to say 

"we didn't do anything, theyre just friends now" robby stated 

"yeah, they went from war to cold war to peace" miguel spoke and xenia nodded in agreement because he wasn't wrong

"yeah, piece of crap fighting" Devon replied and then she walked over to johnny and xenia watched before she turned to robby and miguel. surely her two brothers had an idea on who to fix this or at least help them get their edge back. but it didn't end that way because next thing xenia knew, johnny was calling to devon and she turned her head to him. 

"lee, call your dad, tell him youre having people over tonight" johnny called to devon and devon turned to xenia and xenia shrugged. she didn't know his plan but for some reason she hadn't seemed to care for it. 

"im guessing his plan for them is a girls night and i dont want to be there for whatever he has planned because hes just gonna do something stupid and i dont want to be there for that" she told the two of them and they nodded as they all decided to come up with a plan for the night so xenia didn't worry about whatever the hell johnnys plan was. 

"movie night, i can convince mom to let us hang out in the living room, snacks and all. a little family hang out" Miguel said to xenia and she turned to robby who smiled with a shrug and then he nodded his head in agreement. 

"i mean why not? itll be good for us to ignore karate for a night and just have a hangout" Robby said and Xenia nodded. she was happy that she got to spend the night with her two brothers considering that she hadn't gotten too close to robby yet and if they were brother and sister now, they needed to know about each other even down to the bad, nitty gritty stuff but xenia didn't have any on herself. only on her dad which she was okay with admitting. So once they were done training and once johnny had successfully stolen xenia and robbys phone, they went back to the house where they walked in and were met with carmen 

"hi mom" xenia said and carmen walked over as she kissed the girls forehead and then proceeded to do the same to miguel and robby making xenia smile and shake her head. once she had pulled away from the three of them, she smiled at the trio and then walked into the kitchen. 

"miguel texted me about your movie night and apparently johnny is having a sleepover with the girls, i dont know why, dont ask me but that means you have the living room and tv to yourself. I made dinner so eat and then do whatever you three are doing, i will be in my room, abuela is in her room. be safe and have a good night" she said as she kissed their foreheads one last time and then she walked into her room as they watched. they got dinner and sat down at the table together as they started to eat and robby looked at xenia 

"so i heard that miguel saved you from your dad in mexico" robby said and miguel shrivelled 

"i wouldn't say saved" he led off and xenia shook her head with a sigh and she nodded. saved was the right word in her mind 

"yeah he did, dad was a right psycho who got involved in some crazy shit, drugs, cartel, shit like that, i didn't have a way out until miguel showed up and he brought me home. saved is the right word in this case but mow im here and dont have to worry about him for a while" she said and miguel turned to her 

"for a while? don't you mean forever, he can't find you if youre here with us" Miguel said and Xenia sighed, she had used the wrong choice of words and now she had to be honest but if she was honest with them, she had to tell her mother too. she called her mom out into the kitchen and once she stood with the two boys, xenia smiled sadly and started to talk. 

" I have applied to a few colleges and I've gotten in but I'm thinking of taking a gap year or not going to college and going back to Mexico. Before you start I know that Dad is there and I know that I could get hurt and in trouble in all of that trust me I know but where he is louise's and so is our stepmom and I can't leave them in that situation alone. I know that if I go back he could find me and could make sure I stay there but I have to make sure that they are okay and they're safe being here has taught me that family is the most important thing in the world and there my family as much as you three are and as much as Johnny is and I can't lose them because of some man like my father. I don't know when I'm going back I don't know how I'm going to get there and I don't know what's going to happen but I can't hide it from you guys" she stated and miguel stared at her before he looked at robby and then his mom 

" Whatever you have to do to protect the people you love we get it but don't try to hide it from us. And if you need us to go with you to take them here and to save them then you can do that and we'll come with you but trust us that As your family and as your brothers we're here for you every step of the way" miguel said and she smiled as she hugged him and then she hugged robby and then her mom. they all smiled and she smiled back because at least she had her family. for the rest of the night, they sat in the living room together watching movies. the next day, they showed up to the dojo and then eli spoke up 

"the announcement just came out, alright whos ready to find out where we're going for the sekai taikai?" eli asked as they all stood around and watched the video as it was announced they were going to barcelona and then they heard the other news

"what exactly does that mean?" robby asked after finding out only six of them were going.

"it means we don't all get to go" miguel said and they all looked at each other. now they had to find it out and it wasn't going to be easy.
