I'm updating a lot later than I expected but it's exactly not my fault! You'll have to blame my naps for that 😅😂
In my defence, the lockdown's making me lazier and lazier day by day.

I'm glad some of you guys liked the outfits. Choosing the, sure took quite an effort. Do let me know your favourite ones!
Although, One thing that surprised me is that no-one asked about the presence of the name Bhavya in the outfits update 🧐
Would really like to know your guesses for her before you read this new chapter 😄

Saturday Morning

Anika's Room

She is on Video Call with Mallika while putting on her accessories and doing the final touches.

Mallika, on the other hand is holding a pair of sneakers in both her hands each.

Mallika: Which one? Choose!

Anika: This was your emergency?!

Mallika: Duh!! This IS a Fashion Emergency! (she says stressing on 'is')

Anika: 🤦🏻‍♀️ Let me see your outfit atleast.

Mallika: Oh ya! Wait! (She runs towards the full length mirror in her taking her phone along)

Mallika: What do u think?

Anika: You look great 😃

"Now back to the question.... Which one☝🏼", she asks pointing towards the two pair of sneakers lying on the floor.

Anika: Not going with the flats?!

Mallika: Nah! Sneakers are more comfy and safer. Plus, they'll look good with the outfit.

Anika: Hmm 🤔 I think you should go for the white ones.

Mallika: Great choice! I was leaning towards the same.

*Car Honks*

Anika: Om's here. Bye

Mallika: Oh shoot. I still need to do my hair and makeup. I'm doomed!

Anika: Move your lazy butt. We are coming to pick you up soon.

Mallika: Shut up and let me get ready. Bye!

Anika: Haha. Bye!

*Facetime ends*

(Anika rushes downstairs. Om is waiting outside for her in his car)

Anika: Hey!

Om: All set?

Anika: Yup! Today is gonna be so much fun 😃. So where are we all meeting up for breakfast.

Om(chuckles): Are you always this hungry?

Anika: Hey! You know I love food. Also, breakfast is an important meal.

Om: Chill! You will get breakfast! We'll be heading straight to Rodio's Cafe after we pick Mallika of-course. I hope you atleast have patience for that.

Anika: Hmpphhh (folds arms across her chest, and looks out of the window)

Om: You ask Mallika if she's ready yet. Tell, her we'll be there in 10 minutes. Till the, I'll call and check up on others.

Anika: Sure. (She says, fishing out her phone from her side bag)

Outside Mallika's place
Om honks twice.

Om: You told her we are coming right?

Anika: I did! I don't know what's taking her so long

Om's phone rings. He picks up and starts talking.

Om: Hey! ....... Ya, we're on our way!
......... She must be taking her time to get ready. She comes from the female population after all ! What else did u expect.

Anika POV: She? ...... Oh! He must be talking about Bhavya for sure! That's great that she's joining us too. She's fun!
................. Hahaha ...............We're waiting here for Mallika too ....... Oh! Just hold on for a second.....

(Looks towards Anika, holding his phone)
Om: Anika, could you please go and check what's taking her so long. We're gonna get late this way.

Anika: Ya, sure. You wait for right here, I'll just see what's keeping her up.

Inside Mallika's House (Mallika's room)
(Mallika is running around the room holding her one ear like crazy)
Anika: What's wrong now Miss?
Mallika: I can't find my earring. See!?!
(She turns facing her, showing her ears. The left ear was empty while the right one had as adorned with an beautiful earring hanging, ending just below her chin. Anika chuckles.)

Anika(slowly moving towards her): Well Ma'am, for that you need eyes that can actually see and maybe start using you ninja moves a bit less.

Mallika: I'm already stressed out! Will you just help me look around.

"What I mean is - ", she says stretching her hand towards the back of her head. She fidgets with her scrunchy a bit, and presents a fist in front of her(Mallika's) face.

Mallika: Your ruining my updo(hairstyle)...

Anika opens her fist and Mallika's missing earring hangs from her hand.

Mallika: OMG!! You're a saviour!

Anika: This was stuck in your skrunchy silly. What ninja moves did you

Rodio's Cafe

(Anika, Om and Mallika meet Karan in the parking lot. Rudra and his girlfriend have already arrived, saved a spot for the gang inside, and are waiting for others. )

Rudra: Finally! What took you guy's so long?

Om: I had to pick up two crazy girls on my way. Not my fault.

Anika and Mallika eye him, standing on each of his side.

Om: Okay okay... I was just joking.

Rudra: Karan, Meet my girlfriend, Bhavya.

Bhavya: Hi

Karan: Hey 😅 (he says a bit ackwardly looking towards others since he was specifically being introduced to)

Mallika: (sensing his doubt) We know her already

Karan: Oh! My bad 😬

Anika: Did you order anything yet?

Bhavya: No, we were waiting for you guys.

Anika: Great! So I'll just go and freshen up and you guy's order. Mallika knows what to order for me.

Mallika: By heart 😏

Anika leaves while everyone else gets busy checking out the menus and deciding their orders.

Anika POV: I come back from the washroom and head towards our table. On my way, I find something unusual with the table, I mean our crowd, but I can't exactly figure out what.
Oh ya! There's an extra feminine head at our table. I can only see her back. She's wearing a dark peach coloured shirt. (A/n: I am bad with describing colours. Sorry 😋) I wonder who this uninvited guest is. As I come closer, I face straight towards the stranger and am surprised to find freaking Amaira sitting there!

(A/N: Surprise! Surprise! Surprise! 😂 You just got yourself some additions who Anika seems to be very fond of 😜. Note the sarcasm.)

Anika: What the -
"Food!", Om exclaims, coming from behind, grabbing everyone's attention, and almost shoving Anika's face with the tray before placing it on the table.

Om: Oops! Sorry!! 😅

Amaira: Oh hey Anika!

Anika: Hey! (She says with a small forced smile)

Anika eyes Mallika who responds with a 'no clue' look, worriedly. Anika narrows her eyes, to which Mallika mouths a Sorry, hoping her angry friend would spare her dear life.
Anika, then narrows her eyes towards Om for an answer, with an irritated look on her face.
Boy! She looks so pissed, that someone might mistake her for a ticking bomb.

Om: I didn't mess up you're order, I swear!

She inhales deeply, making an unsuccessful attempt to calm her rage, and grabs his arm pulling him aside.

Om: Hey! That hurts!

Anika: What the hell is she doing here? (Anika asks in a hushed tone, gritting her teeth; Pointing At Amaira)

Om: What do you mean? She accompanied Shivay obviously.

Anika: Who invited them?!

Om: Me and Rudra. duh!

Anika: But, why didn't you tell me earlier.

Om: Wasn't that obvious?! He's a part of the group Anika.

Anika: Aaggghhh!!!! You could have at least informed me, I would have come mentally prepared!

Om: I think you're over-reacting a bit.

"Hey Anika", a voice appears from behind, the speaker standing close enough to make her feel tingles on her back due to the presence.

She jerks her head a bit too fast in surprise,  toward the source of the voice, almost snapping her neck.

Anika: Shivay. (Face palms🤦🏻‍♀️) Great!

Without waiting for any of the guys to respond, She proceeds towards the table in anger.

Parking Lot of Rodio's Cafe

Shivay: Okay guys! We are taking my car and Rudra's car. The rest of the two vehicles can be left here in the parking lot.

On noticing Karan's unsure expressions and questioning faces of the girls he continues....

I've talked to Sam, the manager, also my friend, so there's nothing to worry about. This way we can travel along.

Mallika: Like a road trip? That's a great idea!

(Anika throws daggers at her)

Om: Soooo.... Let's divide 😅😁

(Without waiting for anyone to say anything, Anika moves towards Rudra's car. Karan tags along. Shivay looks on.)

Shivay's Car:- Shivay, Amaira, Om, Mallika
Rudra's Car:- Rudra, Bhavya, Anika, Karan

During the ride
(Radio is on full blast. Rudra is singing his lungs out)

Bhavya: Stop! Please show mercy to my ears🙏🏼
(He just starts singing louder. Karan chuckles. Anika just gives a small smile in response.)

Karan: You okay? Why aren't you singing along to your favourite song?
(Anika turns her face towards him and archs an eyebrow)
Does my company bore you so much? (He says pouting)

Anika: Nah, Nothing like that

Karan: Then? (He asks with concern clearly reflecting in his voice, giving her a slight reassuring squeeze on her hand)

Anika: Let's just say I am saving my energy for the fair (she says trying to cover up)

Karan: If you say so (responds Karan not pushing the matter furthermore )

I had actually put them in the outfits chapter itself, but since you guys asked for the outfits before the chapter, so I had improvise, in order to create and maintain the little surprise element.
