Recap: Shivay had come to talk to her, pick her up and kind of apologize for his behavior. But, he has to leave due to the sudden call from a certain Amaira, who he seems to be very fond of. Lets just say, Anika doesn't seem very happy about it.

Present (Later that evening)

Mallika: Oh god! Could you leave worrying about the assignments for a second, and tell me more about your little encounter with Shivay. 😏

Anika: Oh common! Nothing happened. He was just being a jerk as usual.

Mallika: A sweet and handsome jerk maybe.🤤

Anika: Then have this jerk for yourself! I'll be glad to get rid of him.😠

Mallika:  I wish! 😃

Anika: Aagghhhh! Tu kam irritating nhi hai (You aren't less irritating either)😒

Mallika:  ...and You still love me  Hey! Maybe Annoying people is exactly your type  😃😂

Anika:🙄

Mallika: Now will you please tell me what happened today so that I can figure out if you have an actual reason behind your cranky behavior or that's just you nature.

Anika: I'm a sweet person but annoying people like you can just get on my nerves sometimes (fake smile)😬

Mallika: Still waiting ....(she says looking at her nails)

Anika: Listen then! He had come to talk about something or just annoy me maybe because that seems to be one of his hobbies.

Mallika: What did he say?

Anika: Well..... That's the problem. He said nothing. He got a call and left.

Mallika: Hmmm..... What did you have for dinner?🤔

Anika:😧😠😢😱 (a deadpan look on her face with a mixture of these emotions)

Mallika (trying to act all innocent): What?! 😅

Anika: I just told you what happened and you are more concerned about my dinner?!😠😩

Mallika: What you told me wasn't very interesting either. 🤷🏻‍♀️Not my fault! Moreover, you are acting as if his girlfriend called...🤦🏻‍♀️

Anika: It was a girl (on the phone). So you never know🤷🏻‍♀️

Mallika: Oh! Are you jealous?!😏

Anika: You're crazy!😤

Mallika: Admit it already😜

Since morning, Anika is feeling all giddy and restless for some unknown reason(hint: she hasn't seen Shivay from the past two days ;P)

Lunchtime
(The girls go to the canteen, grab some food and go to their usual spot, where the guys sometimes join them for lunch. Anika, is hoping they do so today too)

Mallika POV: What is wrong with her? She is acting so weird today and her mood swings are on fire! 😵 🔥
She's acting so lost. Her face too keeps on changing expressions the whole time. Is she stressed about something or am I just overthinking? 🧐
Oh wait! I know she must be on her periods! 😂

I think I should do 'The Ultimate Test' to figure out what's wrong with her!

So I pick up a French fry with my super sneaky and awesome ninja skills! 😎
Surprisingly, Anika is so lost that she doesn't realise that her food tray is being invaded and her treasure of fries is being stolen.

"Anika.... Anika......Anika!!"I shout, again and again raising my voice at each level.

She jolts up suddenly.

Anika: What's wrong?

Mallika: You tell me!! I stole a freaking fry from your plate and you didn't even notice.
Normal Anika would have thrown me on the ground by now!
Also, before you make an excuse that you are on your periods let me tell you I'm not gonna but that because I know how sensitive you are about your food during those days and my ultimate test has confirmed that you're not!

Anika: One☝🏼, I'm completely fine! I was just a bit lost because I was busy thinking about something; And Two, when and how did my menstural cycle become a part of this conversation 🤨

Mallika: Well... I was partially correct 😁😅

"What were you correct about?", asks Rudra, coming along with Om, with a roll 🌯 each in their hand.

Anika: Nothing! She's just crazy and food thief! 😒

Mallika: 😁I just took one fry! 😋

Anika: Stealing is stealing! 😤

Rudra: Since you're already sharing, I might help myself too, he says forwarding his hand towards her tray.

She smacks his hands away.

Anika: keep you filthy hands off my tray

Rudra makes a puppy eyes 🥺 face, whereas Om and Mallika laugh 😂

"Where's Shivay?" Mallika asks, eyeing Anika 😏😁😉

"Busy with Amaira of course," responds Om, taking a bite of his roll.

"But he should be here," sighs Anika.
Everyone looks at her surprisingly.
"I mean you know studies and college assignments, projects and everything else. He's already lagging behind so he should focus more on covering up rather than chilling around.", she states trying to cover up her little slip of tongue.

All of them exchange looks. 😏

Rudra: He's Shivay after all! What else did you expect?

Om: Rudra! Anika is Shivay's tutor so he has a reason to take his studies more seriously now.

All of them giggle whereas Anika remains confused trying to figure out their hidden joke.

Anikaa(irritated): What?!

Mallika: Nothing! 😂 I mean Anika you don't let this one slip off easily haan! Give him a piece of your mind today evening when you go to his place to 'tutor' him.
😁😂😉

Om: That wouldn't be possible.

Anika: Why?

Rudra: we forgot to inform you that Shivay asked us to tell you that he doesn't want to have any classes this week. Also, a long weekend is coming up.
He said you could continue from next week Monday onwards.

Anika: Arrogant useless Jerk! Bossing around and giving orders all the time! 😠

It's been a week already and let's say it wasn't the best week for Anika. The fact that that thoughts of him were clouding her time almost all the time was irritating her.

Nonetheless, she has never waited for a Monday so eagerly all her life! She comes home on time from college, a little upset from the fact that she didn't see him again today. Although, she was not ready to admit it. on the other hand, her change in behavior did not go unnoticed  Mallika, and OmRu. Thye somehow, were enjoying to see their friend in misery. (A/N: Evil friends I tell you)

*Tring Tring*

Mallika: Hey babe! Where are you? Why did you leave from college in such a hurry?!

Anika: Oh god! You ask too many questions! I'm busy right now, On my way towards Oberoi Mansion. I'm already running late.  I'll talk to you later bye!

*Cuts call*

Anika is standing at the door, waiting for someone to let her in.

Khanna: Hello my dear. Please come in. I'm so sorry you had to wait outside. So good to see you. Come. Come.

Anika: Hello Khanna Uncle. How are you?

Khanna: I'm fine. You tell. Here to visit Shivay? (He asks with a knowing smile on his face)

Anika: Yes! Uh... No! I mean I did not come here to meet him specially. It's just, you know, I thought, it's been a while since I cam to tutor him.

Khanna: Tutor him?! Oh ya! He's been pretty busy with Amaira these days.

Anika(sarcastically, to herself) : Both of them seem to be really enjoying each other's company these days.

Khanna: You were saying something.

Anika: Me? Nothing! I never say anything! I was just asking you to inform Shivay that I'm here, you know, since this the usual time at which we have a class. 😬

Khanna: Umm... About that....
