(This will be a bit of a long chapter)

Nathan's POV~

It's been a week since we got our pet human, and he still hasn't come out of his cage yet. I know it's normal, but the manuel said that it usually takes a few days. I'm starting to get worried. I look inside to see he was still on his phone. I just want reach in there and grab him, so I can hold him close and let him know I won't hurt him.

I kept staring at him as he takes glances at me, as if he was ready to run the moment I would try and take him out. As I was staring at him, Josh opened the door. "I'm home." I nodded to him and kept looking at our little human. Josh walks over and looks at him too, causing him to be more scared. Josh smiles at this and chuckles a bit. "Isn't he the cutest?" I smile and nod my head. Josh pulled something out of a drawer and sat next to me in front of the cage. "So, you think it's about time we named him?" I smiled and nod my head.

We both thought about it and we couldn't come up with anything. We thought really hard and we couldn't come up with anything. We looked inside the Manuel to see if we can find any ideas. We also looked at some precautions to be aware of, in case it gave us an idea, and what to do in certain situations. We looked and did notice one thing. Apparently humans are extremely intelligent, and learn quickly. So it says we need a lock with a code to make sure they can't run away.

Josh nodded at me and went on his phone to order a new door. I hope it doesn't cost too much money. We already spent 3,025 on him, but it really is worth it. He's so cute!

Josh came back and told me that the door was coming. I nodded and we went back into finding names. Unfortunately, none of these names are that good. So instead, we came up with a bunch of names and wrote it down on the whiteboard in our kitchen. We split the whiteboard in half and wrote down the names we chose each chose on each side of the board. My names were on the left, Josh's on the right.

The names I chose for now were Haku, Terry, and Kory. Josh chose Tohru, Aiden, and Tim. We didn't know what to do. I didn't agree with him, and he didn't agree with me. We both thought deeply about it.

Josh's POV~

After a little while, we still couldn't decide on what name we should choose. It was driving the both of us crazy! A cute little human needs a cute or cool name! We decided to put it off for now and we just decided to have dinner. We read the Manuel to see what humans like to eat. According to this, it says that humans can eat almost a Beastman can eat. We both decided that we should get pizza. However, we didn't want to leave our human alone. He might escape, or worse.

I put my hand on Nathan's shoulder. "You don't mind staying here and looking after our human, do you?" Nathan smiles back at me. "Not at all, I don't want anything happening to him." I nod my head in agreement and I went out to get the pizza. As I was driving, I got a text from my sister. Once I got to Little Whiskers, I looked at my phone and read what she said. "I heard you got a pet human now. I heard in biology that humans are adorable! Can I come over and look?!" I smiled and texted back "Sure." It didn't take long to get a message back, saying "Thank you" at least 10 times.

I went inside and got three boxes of pizza for the four of us. I got on my phone and called Nathan.

"Hey, my sister is coming over, just so you know. I got the pizza, so I'll be heading back now."
"Okay, what kind did you get?"
"I got a meat lovers, stuffed crust, and plain cheese if Tohru doesn't like it."
"That's not his name. And it won't be his name."
"Fine. We have to come up with one soon. Maybe Amber can help us."
"Maybe, see you soon."

Don's POV~

I was inside the cage, not daring to move. If I move, who knows what they'd do. However, I heard the door close, so I think that means they left. I got out of the cage and looked to see if I can find a way out. However, I soon noticed that the orange one was still here!

I looked at the door and wondered if I should risk it or not. And apparently it wasn't worth the risk. He saw me. I froze in place as we looked at each other. He started to approach me, making me shiver in fear. I wanted to run, but my body won't move. He reached out and wrapped his arms around me.

I was scared. What was he going to do? I heard they were talking about dinner earlier. The thought came into my head and I started to panic, trying to get out of his grip. He held onto me tighter and shoved my head against his chest. The feeling of his fur was really soft, and he continued to stroke the back of my head. "I won't hurt you, everything will be fine. I promise."

I didn't trust those words, and I didn't have the confidence to move. He carried me back to the cage and sat me down beside it. He picked up his phone and went over to the next room. I finally got control of myself and I walked into the cage, locking it by myself, even though it was pointless. I mean, they could easily open it up themselves. I just stayed there and waited. Maybe one day I can go back home.

Nathan's POV~

OMG!!! I got to hug him!!! He's so adorable! Even if I know he was scared the whole time, I got to hug my cute little human!!! I'm so happy! I want to do it again, but I need to keep myself under control. I don't want to keep scaring him. One day, I bet he'll always want to hug me. Or Josh.

After my little moment of bliss, I hear a knock on the door and walk over to answer it. I look down and see Amber, which is Josh's little sister. She's currently a senior in Highschool.

Josh and I graduated Highschool 7 years ago and graduated college 3 years ago. Now we both just live together as roommates and best friends.

"Hey Nathan! How've you been?" I smiled at her and replied. "I've been doing good. You?" She nodded. I let her in and she was looking around frantically. She found the cage and ran over. I look inside and our human was inside in the back. She smiled and said "I was hoping it'd be a girl, but he's still so cute!!!"

I nod and smile at him, causing him to back up more, if that's even possible. She smiles and looks at me. "What's his name?" Just as I was about to answer, Josh came back with the pizzas. Amber ran over and hugged him tightly. "Hi Josh! It's been forever!" He smiles and strokes her head. "It has been. Did you see our human?" She smiles and nods. "He's so cute! What's his name?!"

Josh and I looked at each other and took her to the kitchen. We set the pizzas down and showed her our name options on the white board and asked her opinion. She looked at the names we chose and finally spoke. "To be honest, the names both of you chose suck." We both just chuckles nervously and rubbed the back of our necks. She then came up with an idea. "How about we combine two names from each choice?"

We both tilt our heads in confusion. She looks at the first options we each chose and had an idea. "Let's take Haku, and Tohru and combine them! Like a ship name, but for one person." We nod and saw what she came up with. "Here's what I think, and I like this name. Combining Haku and Tohru, I came up with Haru. What do you think?" Josh and I nod furiously. The name is so cute! Haru... we love it. Josh and I went to the name certificate and wrote down "Haru." And that's what we'll call him from now on.

After this, we set down a plate of pizza for him with one of each kind. Just to see if he'd eat it. Later, we'll separate them to see which he eats first. Maybe that'd be his favorite. We all ate dinner and so went to bed. We set up Amber's room so that she can stay the night. We went to our bedroom and took Haru with us. We didn't pick him up, of course. We set down the cage and locked the door to make sure he couldn't get out.

I lied down on the bed and yawned and Josh did the same. As we were relaxing, I smirked. "I got to hug Haru today." Josh shot up from lying down and yelled out loud. "YOU WHAT?!?!"
