Chapter Thirty
Isabelle's point of view
"Home sweet home!" Ashton yelled as he ran into the house, well, moved quickly with his crutch. He can't run yet, maybe in a few more weeks.
"Don't hurt yourself Ash," I said laughing walking into the house. "I haven't seen you all so happy, ever." I said looked at all their smiles.
"I'm just glad everyone's okay and their house is fixed. Seeing them happy makes me happy." Ally said and I laughed. I nodded and walked into the living room.
"MY XBOX!" Michael yelled and ran to it. He literally picked up the game system and hugged it. He spoke mumbled words to it and then kissed it.
"Woah, PDA Michael." I joke and he set it down and laughed. He turned it on and then grabbed a controller.
"Isabelle!" Calum yelled and as a force of habit I started panicking. I looked around and I couldn't find him. I ran upstairs and he wasn't there. I ran downstairs and then looked behind them and he was there.
"Dammit don't scare me like that." I said and he laughed but nodded. "What?" I asked and he pointed into the room. I walked over and looked into it. My jaw dropped and my eyes almost fell out of my head.
My guns were aligned on the wall size coordinated. Even my little gadgets were hung up. Grenades, handguns, knives, everything. Maybe Leo had them do that because he knew this was my room before. He probably thinks there's more to do here, but there isn't.
"What the hell?" I said loudly as I walked in. Calum followed me in and a laptop was on the desk. I walked over and it had a note on it.
"What does it say?" he asked me and I shrugged. "'Get the others before you open, I have news for you, love Leo'." he said and I furrowed my eyebrows. News? What news?
"LUKE! MICHAEL! ASHTON! ALLY!" Calum yelled and I flinched away. I glared at the dark haired boy and he gave me an innocent smile. I chuckled and rolled my eyes.
"What?" I heard Ashton ask as I saw a bunch of people walk into the room in the mirror on the desk. "Woah, where'd all this come from? Is this yours?" he asked and I shrugged.
"Come here," I said as I opened the computer. They all croweded near me and the camera was turned on. I saw my company's sign in the background and a leather chair. I furrowed my eyerbows in confusion.
"Hello?" I asked and a familiar face popped up. "Jesus Jones, don't do that." I said and he laughed. He took a seat in the chair and crossed his arms.
"How's the mission?" he asked me as he looked at the others behind me. "I heard you got the man."
"Yeah, I did." I said. "I'm gonna have to fly back to America soon aren't I?" I asked and he shook his head. "When's the flight?" I sighed as I looked down. I knew he'd say I had to g-
"Isabelle he said you didn't have to," Luke said and I shot my had up. I looked at the screen in shock and Jones laughed.
"You don't have to come back, unless you want to." he said. "You're mission isn't over quite yet,"
"I killed them, what else do I have to do?" I asked him confused. "I thought this was all?"
"No," he said and leaned closer. "You see, Leo called me a few days ago about something you wanted to ask me." he said and looked at the others.
"The question, he probably overheard it." Michael said and moved his hands in a circular motion. "The question," he said throwing his hands up and hitting Luke in the process.
"Fuck," Luke swore and we all laughed. He held his cheek and Michael apologized. I could even hear Jones saying 'don't swear young man'.
Suddenly it all clicked and I looked at the screen. Jones smirked and motioned for me to say it. "What did you wanna ask me?" he asked.
"I was gonna ask if I can be a permanent bodyguard for these guys," I said and he nodded. "As in, I would like to quit being an agent."
"Should I give up my best agent so she could be a babysitter?" he asked me and I rose an eyebrow.
"I just got out of the hospital Jones, don't start this." I said and he laughed. "I can still whoop your ass,"
"You're all threats, not action." he said and I rolled my eyes. We all know that is a totall lie. "And if you want, I will sign you over to the company over there, and Dezerai can sign you as their permanent bodyguard." he said and I jumped up.
"Really?" I asked like an excited teenager. He nodded and Calum hugged me tightly, along with Ally.
"It would be a lot of paperwork. And I'd have to ship all youre things over there, but if you would like to switch, then be my guest." he said. "But there's one catch."
"There always is," Ashton said and the hug fest died down. Calum and Ally let me go and I looked on the screen. "What is it?" Ash asked for me.
"There was a contract you see," he said and I groaned. I had forgotten that contract. "You can't completely quit, but you can be reserved." he said and I nodded.
"What does he mean by reserved?" Ally asked me and before me or Jones could answer Michael spoke up, shocking us all.
"It means that like, if they need someone, they are able to call her. If no one fits the criteria for a mission or there's no one to do the job, she has to go in if they ask. She's not getting missions one after another, just when they really, really need someone to do the job."
"How did you know that?" Jones asked him. "How did you get such a spot on definition of what I meant?"
"It's pretty self explanitory. Reserved means saved, and she's an agent. She's an agent saved for when they're needed." he said and I nodded.
"Smart boy," I said and he smiled. "But I still wanna stay here. I'll be a reserved," I said and he nodded.
"Your things will be sent to their adress and I'll fly by and we can get all this paperwork done. Sound like a plan?" he asked and I smiled enthusiastically.
"Sounds like a plan." I said and he nodded. "See you soon Jones," I said and he chuckled.
"You too Issy," he said and disconnected before I could scold him for calling me that.
"You can stay!" Luke yelled and I was tackled in a hug. I laughed and hugged them back. I felt strange. Like this excited feeling was in my gut and my chest hurt. It wasn't a bad hurt, but a good one that made me smile and laugh.
I didn't understand why they were so happy about me staying, but I didn't dwell on the thought. I was happy I could stay. They were happy I was staying. We were all happy.
"I can't believe it!" Ally yelled and we stayed in the giant hug fest. "He actually let you!"
We all laughed and they were so happy. Right now, I didn't even feel like an agent. I felt like a friend they have just seen in forever. It was one of the best feelings ever We all laughed and they were so happy. Right now, I didn't even feel like an agent. I felt like a friend they have just seen in forever. It was one of the best feelings ever.
And I couldn't wait to see what the futre brings.
