Chapter six

Isabelle's Point of View

I stood behind the boys as I looked around the building. I must have looked like I was new to a place like this and amazed, but I wasn't. I was simply looking around for that security guard and for anyone else who's out to harm the boys.

"So I just sit here, how fucking exciting." I mumbled to myself as I sat next to the boys. I heard Ashton scoff and I saw him roll his eyes since I turned to look at him.

"Should've known, you've protected other famous people too. You should know how meet and greets go." he said and I rolled my eyes.

"I have, and it is the most unexciting and uninteresting thing ever for me. I don't do anything but keep psychotic girls away from you." I said and he looked at me angrily.

"Our fans are not 'psychotic'." he said and I chuckled. "What's so funny?"

"Ashton, every famous person has that one psychotic fan that wants to hide in your suitcase or take a lock of your hair, hell probably a drop of blood to keep in a case for a necklace." I told him. "I've protected a ton of celebrities, I should know. I've had to rip a girl off of Harry Styles because she wanted some of his hair."

"So? That doesn't mean our fans will do the same. They're calm and don't want us hurt. They're very protective." he said and I nodded.

"Because calm fans mob their idols every time they come out of the airport." I scoffed but Luke cut me off before I could start my next sentence.

"Not here guys. It's gonna start in a bit and I don't think fans will like a grumpy Ashton. Save it till we get home," he said and I nodded while Ashton rolled his eyes.

"Or don't save it and forget about it so when we get home no one gets hurt, again." Calum said, shooting Ashton a pointed look. I chuckled and Ashton glared at me.

I set my elbows on my knees and and ran my hands through my hair. These boys are going to be the death of me. I've been here for a day and I've already been slapped and kissed. I've shot a spider and poured water on one of them. I don't think I can handle this for more then a week. I'll probably go crazy before the mission is even over.

Someone tapped my shoulder and I looked up. It was a security guard. Not just any, but it was the security guard. I hummed and took my hands out of my hair, crossing them on my lap. "You're that new recruit, aren't you?"

"Yeah, I am." I said and he eyed me up and down. Can I not go a day without someone eye-raping me? I hid my annoyance behind a smile, and asked him politely, "What do you need?"

"I was wondering if that boy, Calum, has said anything to you or did anything. He can get real, touchy and tended to let things, slip out." he said, pausing every now and then. "Also, I'm sure you're thirsty, and was wondering if you wanted anything to drink."

"You're a security guard, not an assistant. You don't get coffee and drinks for us, you protect them." I said with a fake chuckle at the end. "And no, he hasn't said anything, or done anything." I lied and he nodded.

"It's fine, since you're here with the boys, I'm sure they're protected." the way he believed in me, gave it all away. I'm sure he knew who I was, due to the fact he hasn't questioned, how and why I'm here. "I'll get you a bottle of cold water.

The way he didn't question me gave away the fact he did know who I was. I mean, wouldn't you question a twenty year old girl who was assigned to protect four grown boys? I would if I was him. I silently scoffed at the guy, he was obviously not trained very well. If he was, he would have known to question things, regardless if he already knew it.

I nodded and he walked away. I knew he was gonna do something to the water, poison, chemicals, drugs, anything. I looked over at the boys, who were sitting in a straight line with cups of water on their desk. I got up and grabbed the closest cup, which happens to be Michael's.

"What, you gonna dump that on me again?" he asked sarcastically and Calum laughed. I didn't answer him. I set it back on the table and pressed a button on my watch. I had this wrist watch, which had laser that can see if a drink or food has been tampered with.

I scanned the cup, as the boys watched intently. I knew they would want to play with it, maybe not Luke or Ashton, but Calum and Michael would. The laser turned green, meaning it was messed with. I sighed and picked the cup up. "Don't drink this water."

"Why not?" Ashton asked and I grit my teeth. Can't he just listen to the person who's trying to save his damn life without any questions? Jesus that boy needs to get used to the fact someone is willing to die for them. Well, it actually wasn't exactly 'willingly', but I'm still here aren't I?

"Because there's something in it and it could kill you." I said simply as I walked over to the trash can. I dropped the cup in there, not caring the bag was now wet.

"What if it was just Michael's water?" the boy asked me. I sighed and ignored him as I grabbed the next, which was Luke's. "Don't ignored me, I asked you a question."

"Because what moron will only poison one boy? Think about it. They're out for all of you, why take you out one by one when they can do it all at the same time." I said and scanned the next. As I predicted, a green light shined. I turned to dump it and saw someone walk quickly past the side.

I dropped the cup in the trash and looked at the boys, who were now goofing around with the pens. There were four security guards here, which I'm sure was enough. I walked towards the side, looking for whoever it was. My hand was on my hip, so I could pull out the gun quickly just incase anything went wrong.

I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist, they were big and muscular. One was fully tatted, and the other was plain. I looked up at the guy and it was that security guard. I forgot his name, which was unusual, seeing as I have a pretty good memory. "Shouldn't have left them babygirl."

I grimaced at the nickname, not liking the fact he's talking to me like his girlfriend or daughter. It seems to me that people like giving me nicknames, which I hate. "Call me 'babygirl' one more time, I'll put a bullent in your head." I threatened, completely serious.

"You are in no position to making threats," he said. "babygirl." he added, smirking down at me. I heard my name being called, and it wasn't in a friendly or bossy tone. It was worried and panicked, meaning the boys weren't safe with those guards.

"I said don't call me that," I stepped on the man's foot, my heel stabbing him. He yelled out in pain, arms releasing me as he did so. He lifted his foot up and I kicked his stomach, making him fall to the floor. How was this, a body guard? He went down faster than a stone in water.

"Pathetic," I scoffed silently, and pulled out my gun. Usually, I would question him, but I had no time for that. I was annoyed, pissed, and in a rush. I quickly shot the man in the back of the head, not caring about what he had to say or that the whole building must have heard it.

I walked back to the boys, who were taped up together. Ashton saw me and rolled his eyes. "Look who came back." he said and I rolled my own eyes. The rest of the boys looked scared shitless, to scared to talk, to move.

"They should have duck taped your damn mouth." I said, looking around for the guards that couldn't have gone far. He chuckled humorlessly and wiggled in his seat.

"Just get us out of here so we can go home." he said and I scoffed. I heard the sound of a gun loading, and it was far to close to be aimed st any one of the boys.

"Well," someone said, a strong Australian accent that came from behind me. "Agent M. Haven't seen you in weeks, months even." a cool metal was pressed against the back of my head, making me chew on my bottom lip.

"You expect me to remember who you are from behind me?" I scoffed confidently. "I've had a number of missions, so sorry to say, you're voice is one out of millions that I've heard in the past year."

"You don't remember me from the last time I held you a gun point?" the man asked. His voice held a tone of cockiness and fake care.

"Wait," I said, faking remembrance. "Were you the one who shot me in the arm, or the leg, or was it the stomach? I don't know, I've been held at gun point far to many times to remember you."

Some people would say, back talking the person who can kill you is stupid, suicide to some. But I knew he wouldn't pull the trigger, he wouldn't kill me just yet. It was far too early for that. I can't promise that later, but I knew this was just a beginning.

"I wouldn't be so cocky if I were you Issy," again with the nicknames. "I could kill you if I wanted to,"

"But that's the thing, you don't want to." I said and turned around. The gun pointed to my forehead, as I took in what the man looked like. He had dark brown hair with a bit of a stubble on his chin. His eyes were a shade of blue that made it look grey almost. He was muscular, but not that big. A few tattoos covered his sleeveless arms and a few poked out from the neckline of his shirt.

"You don't know what I want." his American accent prominate as he stopped using his fake Australian one. "And you dead, is most certainly something I would love."

"Tell me, David," I said, remembering the man's name. His shocked expression showed he wasn't expecting me to rememver it. "If you would love me dead, then why don't you go ahead and shoot me? I have no one to live for, nothing to live for, why don't you shoot me right now?"

All of a sudden the tension in the room was thicker. Gasps filled the air and he looked nervous. His eyes never staying on one spot too long and the gun wasn't as pushed up agaisnt my forehead. His nervous aura now cocky as his lips curled into an amused smile.

"Because what fun would that be?" he asked me, his eyes shining with proudness, confusing me. "But I got to say, after months, you still got guts agent." he said, and then his eyes turned hard. "But guts won't save your life."

"Till next time," David said, walking away. I stood in the same spot, confused and unable to move. What was that? Why was he proud? Who was he proud of? Why was he so nervous? So many questions, and I could not answer any of them.

I cursed myself as soon as I snapped out of my thoughts. I let him get away, and I didn't even bother stopping him. After all of this, all we did was have a simple, chat. He could have killed me, but he didn't. Why didn't he?

"You just gonna stand there or are you gonna untie us now?" I heard Ashton ask me and I rolled my eyes. I turned around, walking towards the four boys.

"You have a knife on you?" Calum asked me and I shook my head. "Then how are you gonna-oh,"

I undid the knot and they all stood up, rubbing their arms where bright red lines could be seen. "What happened to the meet and greet?"

"Fake," I said, not wanting to talk. The boys seemed confused still and I sighed. "It was a trap. Someone, on our side, is a traitor. So, for now on, unless your head management tells you, you have something to do, you have nothing to do."

"But Leo sai-"

"But Leo, nothing." I interrupted Michael. "From now on, if I say there's something to do, or your head management says so, then you listen. If anyone else says so, take it to me or your management. We're not getting caught in another one of these, traps."

Ashton scoffed and I rolled my eyes as I walked them out of the building. I knew I was gonna get yelled at by him, and I knew one of us was gonna get hurt again. I knew the boys were scared now, even more than before. I was positive.

"Now, for the next few days, you will be on lock down. You will stay in the house, unless it is something we need." I said and Ashton chuckled. In what way was that funny?

"We will?" He asked me and I nodded. "We will not do anything, you're not our parents."

"Are we seriously having this conversation again? Ashton Irwin, I am here to protect you four, and if you wanna keep this precious little thing called life, you better fucking listen to me. I know what's best. I've been in this agency for my whole life, okay? I've killed over a thousand people, saved over a thousand lives. Now, what I say fucking goes." I said, completely serious.

"Guys, talk about this when we get home, people are staring." Luke said and I looked around. A few people walking by stared at us and walked away as soon as I made eye contact with them.

"Or don't," Calum muttered as we walked to the car.

This isn't edited because I have a lot of homework, but I hope you like it and can understand it haha.
