Tw: Maladaptive daydreaming

"I'm not stupid," Florida mumbles, crawling under the covers, "I'm not stupid. He whimpers, pulling the blanket up to his nose. 

He squeezes his eyes shut, trying to block out his thoughts.

He doesn't look over at the sound of the door opening, pulling the blanket up farther. DC walks over, gently tugging the blanket down to see his face, "Dia?" He cups Florida's face, "are you alright?"

Florida leans into the touch, staring down to avoid DC's gaze, "do you think I'm stupid?"

"No," DC smiles softly, "never."

Florida smiles, closing his eyes as DC lays next to him, "I love you."

DC presses a kiss to his forehead, "I love you too."

Florida rolls over, why couldn't that be real?
