Sonics pov

I woke up to the smell of something burning. Feeling alarmed I shot up and found bean attempting to cook something.

"whoe little man stay away from the cooker!" I yelled as I picked him up.

"sorry Mr needlemouse" bean muttered "I was just making breakfast for papa"

"aww kiddo that's very sweet of you" I smiled at him.

"yeah I'm not very good at it so I decided to make fire instead!" he grinned.

I turned around to find the pan completely ingulfed in fire!

"how about you just leave the cooking to me bud" I muttered nervously.

*time skip*

"alright here you are bud" I placed a stack of pancakes in front of bean "some freshly made pancake that aren't on fire"

"aww lame" bean grumbled before taking a bite. I raised an eyebrow. What a odd kid!

"ok I'll bring your papa some food too. You stay right here kiddo"

"ok!"

I walked up to jets room and knocked on the door. No answer. I slowly opened the door to find jet laying wide awake in bed.

"hey bud" I smiled at him "we have breakfast prepared for you. You wanna come down and join us?"

"no thank you" he muttered as he hugged his pillow.

"you know jet its not healthy to stay in bed all day-"

"I know! You don't have to nag me so much" he growled as he pulled the blanket over his head.

"Well your foods here whenever your hungry" I placed the plate down and left.

I walked into the kitchen to find bean happily munching on some pancakes.

"Well kiddo looks like it's just you and me" I smiled at him.

"yeah it's nice to eat breakfast with someone" bean mumbled.

"does your papa often stay in bed like that?" I asked.

"yeah. Papa likes to sleep alot" bean muttered as he took another bite.

So he really is depressed. I guess with all he's dealing with I can't really blame him. Still it is worrying-

*ringgggg*
