So I started off wanting to write a little one shot about a 15 year old girl and her interactions with the Avengers.  This idea struck me, I've never really written anything with Bucky X Reader, and as I wrote the one shot I realized that I really wanted to do something crazy with this story.

In the end of the original one shot, the girl turns into a 16 year old female Winter Soldier. This actually does fall into place with the whole multiple Winter Soldier thing.

So, I'm going to give you a surprise sneak peek of some of the story that's going to go down near the very beginning.

Anyways, the plan if for our dear little 16 year old reader to end up making the same choice that Bucky did at the end of Civil War. She doesn't want to hurt anyone else, and so decides to be frozen until they can help her and Buck.

While cryogenic sleep works out great for Bucky, not so much for Charlie. Upon waking them up, the reunited Avengers team discovers that somehow Charlie experienced accelerated growth and aged over 10 years. For everyone else it's been 5, and for Bucky, it's been none.

So now this 16 year old is 26, and her life has become much simpler. The Avengers can remove everything but her metal arm, but she chooses to retain everything but the built in reset button.

Charlie continues to recoup as Bucky decides what to do. He's captivated by this girl, having never met or seen her when she was younger. He decides to have his arm reattached, and the reset to Winter Soldier mode removed from his head.

Charlie just can't get Bucky out of her head, eventually the two are deemed ready to start working with the Avengers. The two team up and work together within the group, never on a mission without the other.

Slowly friendship blossoms, and something else follows it pretty quickly.
