Swara: why can't he understand anything mom?
Sujatha: u need to understand swara not him.
Swara:what should I understand mom? He didn't talk to me properly since yesterday. Just asking about my health, my medicine and take rest. That's all. what's wrong did I say?I just don't know anything, what may happen in future and I can't let him live like corpse.

Sujatha: u still need to understand him a lot swara. He will die but never agree to this. I know my son.

Swara: mom, atleast u understand me. Please.
Sujatha: I understand ur point swara but...
Swara: then please mom.. if something happens to me. Can u promise to make him move on in his life? Please.

Sujatha: swara, I can't promise something I can never fulfill. And why do I promise when I know u will be fine haan?

Swara: mom, u know everything still..

Sujatha: Sanskar is way more stubborn than u think. He will never able to move on. U need to understand this. He is ur husband, he loves u. It's never easy not only for him but for anyone. We all have belief in u , in God that u will be fine ,so does he. He believes in his love that it will save u then be with him. Don't break him and.. his belief. U will understand it more easily, just put urself in his position and him in urs then think what's and wrong and right? What u r asking from him ,is it right?

Swara heard her calmly. She understands what she was trying to say.

Sujatha: don't stress urself now. Take ur time then think. Come on now, u need to take ur dinner.

Swara nods with weak smile. Sujatha adjust the small on table bed and then serve her.

Swara: mom again soup. I hate this.

Sujatha:( smiled) don't worry, just for few days . When u will be fine and back to Kolkata,I will make ur favourite food everyday.

Swara: really?
Sujatha: I promise . Come now I will make u eat.
Swara: it's ok mom. I will..
Sujatha: no no.. I will.
She took spoon and make her eat. After that nurse came and give swara medicine . Sujatha made her lay on bed and tell her to sleep. Swara closed her eyes and was thinking about her words.

Sujatha saw her asleep then only door opened. It was sanskar ,he came home inside.
Sanskar: mom, u go with laksh. I will be here.
Sujatha: ok, take care.
Sanskar nods.
Sujatha go out. Sanskar sees her sleeping peacefully. He go to her and sit beside her and caress her hair. He leaned and kissed her forehead.

Sanskar: good night swara.
Then he get up to go and sleep on cough. He was about to walk but he felt her holding his hand.

" I m sorry sanskar" swara said opening her eyes.

He turned to look at her.

Swara: I m sorry. I shouldn't have said you all that. Please forgive me .

Sanskar: what's the need to say sorry when u will do it again?

He said and look away. Swara feels sad with his word. She sat on bed.

Sanskar: swara, pls sleep.
Swara: I will but first sit here.

Sanskar: swara what r you..?
Swara look at him giving pleading look.
Sanskar: ok ..
He sit beside her. She look at him and then hugged him snuggling into his chest. He look at her. She closed her eyes keeping her head on his chest.

Swara: I m really sorry sanskar. I said just because I don't want u to .... Umm forget that. Whatever I said. I will never say that again. I promise . Please forgive me sanskar.

He heard her . He could easily feel her sadness in her voice. He didn't wanted to see her like this but he was hurt. He encircled his arm around her hugging her back .

Sanskar: swear on me, u are never gonna say me to move on.
Swara: sanskar...?
Sanskar: just say..
Swara: ok, I swear. I will never do that again. Please forgive me now.

Sanskar: it's ok ,just remember this promise always and never say those things again.

Swara smiled a little . She lift her head to look into his eyes.
Swara: never ever.
Sanskar also smiled. He leaned and pecked her lips.
Sanskar: now sleep, ok?
Swara nods. : Be like this . It feels so good.

Sanskar wrapped his both hand around her and adjusted himself on bed putting his legs up.

Sanskar: I m here only.
He caress her face and hair. Swara closed her eyes and after sometime she fell asleep in his embrace. Sanskar was also feeling sleepy. He also sleep like that only.

Three weeks later:

" See Mr. Maheshwari, we are at the final stage of her treatment. She is really brave and u and ur family supported her so much. That gave her strength." Doctor said.

Sanskar: so she is going to be fine na?

Doctor: I told u already she had less chances but I m sure she will be fine and till now , treatment went well and reports are good. But this week is really crucial for her. Two days later, we will do the final surgery and then will see the report. If everything go well then she will alright. But for now ,she needs to be more strong and more than that u need to be strong. I hope u know what I mean.

Sanskar: yeah, ok doctor.

Then sanskar go to swara's room. He entered inside only to see her talking with AP. She was laughing on something what AP said her. They turned to find him.

AP looked at her asking" everything fine?"
Sanskar just nods with weak smile. Swara noticed it but didn't said anything. She already knew what they were talking. She didn't want to discuss it . She remembered what sujatha said , just trust on their love and other things we should leave to god. So , she just prayed to God to make her fine. She want to live with him, with this family.

AP: u know sanskar, ur wife is complaining something.
Sanskar: really and what's that?
AP: ( chuckled) she is saying she is getting bored here and having soup and boiled food.
Swara: yes that's true . I m bored to see these white walls around me . I want to go out of here.
Sanskar smiled. He came to her and sir beside her.
Sanskar: just few days more then u will be back to home.
AP: yes, that's only I was saying to her.
Sanskar : badi Maa, it's late. u should go now and take rest.
AP: yeah ,ok I will go now.
She pats swara face.
AP: take care swara.
Swara:( smiled) u too maa.
AP smile and go out.

Sanskar look at swara and hold her hand.
Sanskar: how r u feeling?
Swara: ( weak) little tired..
Sanskar: then why were u not taking rest and talking with maa. I m sure she must have told u to sleep.
Swara: she literally forced me to sleep but I couldn't. So, she started telling me about ur childhood .

Sanskar: swara, right now ur priority should be ur health only. Nothing else. Once u get fine then u can do anything including knowing about my childhood. I m sure mom will really love to share all that.

Swara: I know sanskar, but sometimes I feel like do everything now only as I don't know about tomorrow. Will that tomorrow come for me or not.

Sanskar: swara not again..

Swara:I know but u only told me share whatever I feel so I m telling u.

Sanskar: and I also told u, there no need to be scared. That tomorrow will come with new Ray of Hope and happiness ,not only in ur life . It will be in both of our lives. Only a week more then you will be fine.

Swara smiled at him and nods. She hugged him and put closed her eyes putting her head on his chest. Sanskar caress her hair and she slept. Sanskar was thinking about time he spent with swara and after two days ,final operation was to be done.

After two days:

It was swara's final surgery. She was not nervous but yes she was scared a bit. It's coming to end and either she will win or loose. Sanskar never let her feel low and so the family.

Everyone came to meet swara . She was going to be operated in two hours. Right now, sujatha and AP were also sitting with her along with sanskar. They talk to her and make her feel comfortable. After sometime, they thought to leave and give sanskar some time with her. But before sujatha took something out of her purse.

Sujatha: take it sanskar and apply it to swara.
Sanskar: what's this mom?

AP: it's vermilion, we went to temple before coming newyork . I got it from there, it's god blessing. sujatha was going to give u the first day we came .

Sujatha: but I couldn't find it where I kept and yesterday only I got it from my purse only. So, now apply it to her hairline.

Sanskar : sure mom.
He took it from sujatha and take a pinch of vermilion. He look at swara and then apply it to her hairline. Swara closed her eyes. Then open her eyes. Her eyes filled with tears, she blinked and look away. Sanskar noticed it.

Sanskar: what happened swara?
Swara: no.. nothing. I m fine.
Sujatha: are u sure swara?
Swara: yeah mom. I m fine.

Sujatha look at Ap. She nods to let's leave giving them time. They bless swara and then go out of room.

Sanskar: now say, what is it?

Swara: sanskar.. I said na..

Sanskar: no u didn't. So please say.

Swara: it's nothing,. I was just thinking.. I remembered last time when u applied vermilion, it was out of anger on me and now it's out of love and care. I didn't thought this day will ever come.

Sanskar: only that. It will be always out of love from now on.

Swara: I know.

Then only sanskar phone rang.

Sanskar: it's adarsh Bhai and bhabhi On video call.
He connect it.
Adarsh and pari were sitting.
Adarsh:hi swara, hi sanskar, how r u?
Swara: we are fine bhaiyaa. How r u both ?
Adarsh: we are also fine.
They talk casually and light things to lighten mood.
Pari: okay swara, sanskar bye. Come soon.
Adarsh: yes, we are waiting. Bye. Sanskar..
Sanskar: bye bhaiyaa bhabhi.

He disconnect the call.
Swara: they are really sweet and look perfect together. I feel like they had love marriage.
Sanskar: no, it wasn't love marriage. It was arrange. But not the perfect one. Bhai used love a girl in his college time and still loved her when they got married. That girl died in accident. He just married for family happiness but he wasn't happy. Me and laksh knew about it and we stopped him from getting married if he didn't want but he couldn't say no because Badi maa and badepapa happiness . pari bhabhi was Badi maa's friend daughter . after marriage, they were married couple but not happy one. Bhabhi was introvert type , she never used to shared she was really hurt by Bhai behavior but she also knew about Bhai past. Days passed but nothing changed untill one day. I still remember what was his condition when he heard about bus accident in which bhabhi was going. I ,laksh and adarsh bhai went there and searched for her. And then we found her sitting at one side. She was injured a bit. Before we could approach her Bhai, go to her and started scolding her. I and laksh were shocked. What was her fault. But before we could go and stop him. He hugged her and started crying in fear of loosing her. Bhabhi also started crying. That was the day when they confessed. That was the day they found their love which was always there.

Swara look at him.
Sanskar: do u know swara? Why did I tell this to u?

Swara nods no.
Sanskar: Their story is similar yet dissimilar to us. But one thing is that love always find its way . Just like in our case.

Swara : it's can find its way sanskar but will love find its destination ?

Sanskar: love already reached it's destination. It's in our heart swara. Love is not bound to life. It's eternal. It's for forever. U know swara, I m not scared of anything till u r with me and I trust u to be with me always.

Swara: I m always there with u . I promise.

Sanskar cups her face with one hand and leans toward her. He pushed her hair away from her face.

Sanskar: I love u swara.
Swara: I love u too sanskar.

He pressed his lips on her and kissed her. Their eyes got closed. His another hand roamed sensually on her back. She lift her hand from his chest to his hair and her fingers entwined with his hair while deepening the kiss. They wanted this moment to freeze and live with this moment always. A tear fell from corner of her eye which he wipe caressing her face with his thumb. He sucked her lips gently kissing her passionately. After few minutes they broke the kiss and swara instantly hugged him tightly. He also hugged her back.

Sanskar:( whispered) nothing will happen to u swara. I m with u.
Swara:( gripped his shirt) I know .

After sometime:

Swara was being taken inside operation theatre. Sanskar was walking with her stretcher along with shekhar. He was holding her hand. Swara was looking at him. He tries to be normal in front of her but this time he couldn't. His face was fully worried. He couldn't hide his restlessness. They were about to go inside but sanskar stopped them.

Sanskar: just a minute please..

Sanskar leans to her face .

Sanskar: Just go inside and when u will come out.. U should be fine. Just remember. I m waiting for u, outside this room. Okay?

Swara give a smile and she nods.

Sanskar: and one more thing.. I love u.
Swara: I love u too.

Everyone there admire their love.

He kissed her forhead. Then stand straight looking into her eyes. The stretcher starts moving inside and her hand got out of his. Once they went inside , nurse shut the door. Sanskar closed his eyes and prayed folding his both hand together.
Shekhar put his hand on his shoulder. Sanskar look at him. He assured her through eyes.
The operation started. Everyone were sitting outside. AP, dp ,rp, sujatha and also laksh. AP and sujatha were praying for her.. Shekhar was sitting with dp and rp. Sanskar was restlessly walking here and there. It was life his breathe was stuck inside. He look inside through small glass window. Swara was unconscious and doctors were doing something.

Laksh stands up and go to him.
Laksh: Bhai, she will be fine. Please u sit .
Sanskar: no laksh, I m fine.

Time running and running. Sanskar was getting restless and impatient with each passing minute. It's been four hours.
Then only doctor come outside.

Sanskar rushed to him.

Doctor: Everything is fine Mr. Maheshwari. Don't worry. She will be shifted to her ward in sometime.

Shekhar: doctor, is she totally fine?

Doctor:( smile) she is , we just need few test . If that's good then she will be totally alright... And ready to go back home but after this week only.

Sanskar:( happy) thank you doctor. Thank you so much.

Doctor nods and went from there.

Sanskar hugged laksh happily. Laksh smiled at him. He knew what's this happiness meant to him .

Sanskar: she is fine laksh, she is fine.
He started crying but was smiling.
Laksh: yes Bhai.. she is .

Shekhar sees him with smile and wipe his tears from corner of his eyes. He was really happy that his daughter is alright.
AP and sujatha hugged each other. They say thank you to God for making swara alright.

After that, sanskar told elders to go. He will be here. They might be tired. Sujatha and shekhar denied but laksh also made them understand and told them to go. Laksh told that he will stay with sanskar. Sanskar didn't object.

After an hour, swara was shifted to her ward. She was unconscious . Sanskar was waiting outside with laksh as nurse was inside for something.
After sometime, nurse came out.

Nurse: Mr. Maheshwari, u can go inside. She is unconscious but she will wake in few hours. she needs rest.

Sanskar: thank you.
Nurse nods and go from there .

Sanskar: laksh, u go and have dinner.

Laksh: but Bhai u?
Sanskar: u go.. I m not hungry.
Laksh: Bhai, atleast eat something . She is fine na.
Sanskar: yeah but I want to be with her. I m really not feeling to eat anything. I just want when she open her eyes, I should be there beside her.

Laksh:( smiled) ok, u go inside.

Sanskar nods . Laksh go from there. Sanskar open the door and entered inside only to find her lying on the bed. She was covered in sky blue sheet till her chest. He go and sit on chair beside the bed. He gently touch her hand and hold it. He kiss her hand .

Sanskar: thank you so much swara for not giving up. It was really difficult to wait for those few hours and restlessly do nothing. But I m happy, u made it sweetheart. I love u.

Sanskar wipe his tear from corner of his eyes and smile. He leaned and kissed her forhead.

Four days later:

Sanskar ,dp and shekhar were in doctor cabin.
Doctor: she is absolutely fine Mr. Sanskar. There's nothing to worry at all. We have checked everything and she is all set to go home.

Sanskar: thank you so much doctor.

Doctor: it's not only me ,it's her strength, ur love and confidence that , she fought and won from this disease.

Shekhar: so we can take her back to India.
Doctor: yes ,Mr. Gadodia. She is perfectly fine. She will feel week which is natural. After going through long treatment process, it happens. But she will recover from it with proper diet . And yeah, she need her routine check up for every two weeks. But she don't need to live here for that. She can have her check ups there too, it's nothing major.

Shekhar: okay doctor.. thank you.

Doctor nods . They went out but doctor stopped sanskar and say: Mr. Sanskar, pls sign on these papers.. it's nothing just discharge formalities then u can take her home.

Sanskar: sure doctor.
He took pen and sign on the papers after seeing it. Then give the paper back to doctor. He gave her swara's medical file.

Doctor: ( smiled) thank you . All the best, take care of her. U really love her a lot.

Sanskar:( smile) thank you..

Then sanskar came out of his cabin. He sees her medical file in his hand . It wasn't just file. It was her stuggle for her life and finally she won. His swara was safe now. She is discharged today and he is ready to start anew life with her.
Thinking that he walk toward her ward.
